78th day of no period....

As the title suggests, I haven't had a period since the 18th October. I came off cerazette at the start of June and have had irregular cycles since but this is by far the longest.

DH and I are TTC and I last took a pregnancy test at the start of December so I'm fairly confident I'm not pregnant (we were both sick after that and didn't have any inclination to DTD).

We finally DTD on 26th and 27th December and yesterday I had really sore breasts and some cramps and EWCM in the morning for the first time in a long time, but we only managed to DTD late last night. Im mildly cramping this morning and have watery CM. These long cycles are so confusing! Is there a chance we might've caught ovulation this month? How long should I wait before testing?

Hi @Faintlinesquints it's truly shit isn't it. Limbo land is the worse!!! Have you been for any tests? Do you know if you ovulate during your long cycles? I have no idea which makes it even more confusing as I cannot say when I'm any days dpo!! Xxx

Mrsw200 · 05/01/2018 13:55

@Paris1986 it sometimes feels like this is on my mind 24/7 I even dream about it. Sad I know!! I'm going to blitz the house this weekend as if I'm not doing anything makes me overthink even more!! Xxx

SpadesOfGlory · 05/01/2018 14:40

I had a BFN on a cheapie yesterday but it wasn't even FMU so I don't know why I even bothered! TMI but today when I wiped I had a long stringy yellowy snot like discharge...it wasn't like anything I've seen before! I've had cramps for about 4 or 5 days now, fairly constant but not as bad as af cramps usually are. I'm trying not to frantically google Confused

Mrsw200 · 05/01/2018 14:46

@SpadesOfGlory that sounds promising I've read about the yellowy discharge being an indicator. I've googled everything. Thought my cervix was as it should be in 'very' early pregnancy (it's very high hard and closed) but google told me this shouldn't be used as a reliable indicator 🙄🙄. Damn you google.

Karigan1 · 05/01/2018 14:52

Tell me about it. On day approximately 53 here of waiting to see AF since coming off pill.

There is a possibility I ovulated sometime over the last week however so crossing fingers.

I think I may be in for a chance as got sore boobs that have been sore for 10 days now!

Plus I think I ovulated as have been getting a weird fluttery sensation in the lower abdomen for the last few days. It’s very odd so I’m thinking maybe hormone related. Going to test in a week or so I think.

Good luck everyone

LifeOfRiley63 · 05/01/2018 14:58

Hmmm @SpadesOfGlory - that sounds unusual. Was it like egg-white snotty?

@MrsW200 Nothing here but BFNs Sad Lots of symptoms like stuffy nose, back ache, boob ache has gone now (thankfully!), weird general feeling, the worst gas(!!), bloating, frequent weeing, short spurt of nausea the other night. Nothing concrete.

Welcome @Faintlinesquints to our Impatient club! Pull up a chair and have a Gin

I'm on week 11 as of today so that makes my CD77! Holy hell. Hmm
I did read up on an old thread about something taking a herbal supplement called Agnus Castus that might help. I've ordered some off eBay and will cross my fingers.

SpadesOfGlory · 05/01/2018 15:00

Yeah I read the same about the cervix position, it's because it doesn't go up high at the same stage of pregnancy in all women so it can't be counted on. Didn't stop me checking mine though!

Don't know what to think about the discharge. Over the past few days I've had clear, watery CM, yesterday it was white and lotiony, and now today the weird snot stuff! Will just have to keep everything crossed and order heaps of cheap tests from Amazon Grin

SpadesOfGlory · 05/01/2018 15:04

@LifeOfRiley63 its a similar consistency to ewcm, but probably a bit thicker than i usually get, and it was about 2 inches long on toilet paper! And definitely yellow.

Google seems to give mixed results, some say it's a good sign and they got it a couple of days before bfp, others say they get the same thing every month before AF Confused

Paris1986 · 05/01/2018 15:19

@SpadesOfGlory - sounds promising, though I don't want to get your hopes up. Maybe test tomorrow morning? Fingers crossed for you!

SpadesOfGlory · 05/01/2018 15:56

I might test tomorrow @Paris1986

Trying so hard not to get my hopes up, but I would so love this to be it! Why oh why is it all sooo complicated?!

Even started reading up on the "hook effect" earlier that maybe hcg is too high to detect. I need serious help haha!!!

Mrsw200 · 05/01/2018 16:03

Not ashamed to admit I actually diluted my wee to test out this theory. I can categorically conclude that I am not experiencing the f**cking hook effect and wasted another damn stick. Grin

SpadesOfGlory · 05/01/2018 16:09

@Mrsw200 Grin Grin

TTC does straaaannge things to even the most rational of thinkers lol

I’ve decided that I’m not pregnant and am going to forget all about it until AF arrives, which is due on the 19th. My plan will probably last overnight but the right intentions are there... fingers crossed for you all xxx

hungryradish · 05/01/2018 16:42

I'm CD57 today with no symptoms or anything going on really - it's actually quite nice to find a thread with other people in the same situation. All other conception threads seem to be people with regular cycles who know when they're ovulating etc etc.

Rainbowsandflowers78 · 05/01/2018 17:33

Spades - I would dtd - the snot stuff Usually indicates when you are most fertile

LifeOfRiley63 · 05/01/2018 18:31

Welcome @hungryradish I agree, I thought me and OP were actually the same person. I'm quite jealous of people who have normal cycles!

hungryradish · 05/01/2018 18:34

Me too! @lifeofriley63 at least then you can be proactive about ttc as you know when to dtd & test. We just don't have a bloody clue what's going on do we! Haha.

jellybeans81 · 06/01/2018 00:09

Nothing here either. Now CD56. Had period like cramps yesterday, thought AF was definitely on the way but nothing at all today!

I don't know about you ladies but I have the most horrendous bloating! My tummy honestly looks 5 months pregnant! POAS (frer) on 22/12 which was BFN. Haven't tested since. According to Ovia it's 8 days till I test - although not sure how reliable that is! Patiently waiting till then.

I just wish something would happen. It's driving me crazy Angry

SpadesOfGlory · 06/01/2018 09:06

@jellybeans81 I have no idea what our bodies are doing, but I wish they'd hurry up and sort themselves out!

BFN this morning with me, CD81 (!!). I woke up with really sore boobs and the mild cramping I've been having for a week is still there. I might buy some Opks on the way home from work today just out of curiosity. Surely something must be going on to have these symptoms? If not preggers then im hopefully trying to ovulate or something.

OP posts:
hungryradish · 06/01/2018 09:19

That does sound like you might be ovulating @spadesofglory

jellybeans81 · 06/01/2018 10:17

@SpadesOfGlory picking up some OPKs sounds like a good ideal. Even if your cycles are horrendously long you will at least know if there is a chance.

SpadesOfGlory · 06/01/2018 11:35

I'll try and jump DH tonight in the event that I am ovulating Grin

Does anyone else with long cycles find it hard to DTD as often as recommended? We both have fairly busy lives and relatively low libidos, I wish I could pinpoint ovulation a bit better so we could concentrate our efforts around it... Blush

Karigan1 · 06/01/2018 11:38

Would the Ava bracelet help with long cycles maybe? I know mines post pill sitting itself out so hoping it will sort itself out soon (time against me) but if you have a persistent long or irregular cycle would it help I wonder?

SpadesOfGlory · 06/01/2018 11:41

@karigan1 what is the Ava bracelet? Never heard of it.

...off to Google!
