January Bus - New Year, New Bumps Please!

Hi all

Thought I'd start January bus as spotting has started today

Here's my stats

Age 29
Ttc #1
Cycle 13
Currently cd28 at due next couple of days
Next af/bfp due 4th January

Planning to do the sperm meets egg plan this month. Looking forward to af finishing already!

It was weird for me today I went to the doctor for a routine check on something and casually said I've been ttc for a year and she was good but still a bit dismissive she said oh well when you get a bfp to ring in. Casually ignoring the ttc for a year bit. She also said I'd put on weight anyhoo because I live in the sticks there isn't a midwife clinic here so I have to travel an hour so that's good to know! Annoying though because I'm planning a home birth lol....if I ever get a bfp! She also said they don't do blood tests so thinking I'll need to get pushy when the time comes!!

I've had a couple baby bombs today but weirdly I'm fine about it this month. Must be all the Christmas cheer 😂

@honeycake Hope your bloods come back okay. That is a definite bfp!!

Come on AF, hurry up and be over and done with!!! I’m not doing OPKs this month, just lots of festive dtd and see what happens.

First baby bomb for me since TTC... and I’m pretty sure it’s an accidental pregnancy... it’s really not nice, I feel like I’m being really mean getting upset over someone else’s happiness! Jealousy is such a horrible emotion 😕

I've had my first baby bomb yesterday since ttc. As we have only been trying for a few weeks it's not hit me hard, still a bit jealous like buy excited for them too.

Could anyone advise me of when I should do an ovulation test? According to Ovia app I'm day 9 of my cycle.

@Fauxyorkshire yep start using them from cd10 in the afternoons you should see the line get darker over the next few days. When it turns positive (at least as dark as the control line) you should release an egg over the next 24-36 hours so be sure to dtd over those few days xx

CD9 today.... officially from tomorrow I should be in my fertile days... will start opk today as well... I already feel a little obsessed but trying to play it casual in front of my hubby lol!

I'm on CD11 now. Ovia tells me my fw begins on CD16/xmas eve but i dont think thats right. I've only used ovia for the last 2 months and af was 5 days late last month so my datas skewed. Really wishing I was using opks but then it seems like a pita to have to do daily.

We'll go for eod now through to end of December. If no bfp at the end of this month I guess I start opks next cycle which will be cycle 5

@BaliBound I'm just a lurker on this thread but couldn't just read and run. Ovia was wrong for me too, don't trust it! EOD will be best I think, good luck! X

Well, officially in wait mode, not that I know when/if I'll ovulate before my 1st AF whenever that is but we're going to try our luck and see what happens (though I'm very realistic it won't happen)

BaliBound I asked about the best app some time ago and people were commenting about Fertility Friend being the most accurate. I Also use Flo to compare. We will know this cycle which one is the closest with the opks...

@BaliBound same ovia is hit and miss with me so I always use opk tests with them and doing smep for timing wise. Still got weird ovulation pains today hoping it's more of a sign. It feels like a peanut pushing inside me if that makes sense. Not usual pain for me and just on the right side but too early for implamtation. Doesn't implantation take at least 5 days?

Thanks for advice, I will deffo go for EOD. We dtd on CD9 so should be covered. I really want this to be my month.

Hi ladies, can I ask some advice about CM? How long do you tend to get watery or EWCM for? It is only my 2nd month TTC (not using OPKs or BBT yet). This month I have had 1 day watery then 2 days of what I think is EWCM (clear and a bit stretchy) and that's it, back to barely any/sticky. It was just before my predicted fertile window too. I'm just a bit confused! Is it just a case of learning what's normal for me? What happens for you?

Just joining this bus, reckon I’ll be in this one anyway, waiting for ovulation / af after early miscarriage earlier this month.

@bubblybrit. Are you still flashing? I'm glad I'm not near fertile week today as I have a stinking cold! On the upside, it's my daughters 5th birthday today and we have cake! :-)
