UnicornsandRainbows1 · 07/01/2018 13:36

@Hollymchollyface 25th November! 😩

di626 · 07/01/2018 14:33

@UnicornsandRainbows1 agh yes make them do something tomorrow for u!!!

Boboelephant · 07/01/2018 14:50

@UnicornsandRainbows1so sorry this has been dragging out for you. What a nightmare. Good luck with your scan tomorrow. Hope they sort it out for you!
@di626 hope you get some answers too. Keep bugging that GP!!
Ugghh @DaisyMay25 i know! I hate that they are so similar! So hard not to try and think about every symptom and get your hopes up and then it just might AF anyway.
@ek78 I do the same changing my mind every second. I waited until AF due last time and agree with your idea although the waiting is so hard too!!!

Boboelephant · 07/01/2018 14:51

Sorry @Hollymchollyface! Waiting to test is so hard though isn't it!!??

BrokenBaubles · 07/01/2018 17:01

Hello! New here. I miscarried (or so I thought) at 5 weeks 5 weeks ago. Have now been referred to EPU as HCG stubbornly stuck in 6000s 2 weeks in a row.

Early scan on Friday showed 5 week embryo. Could be missed miscarriage from 5 weeks ago or new pregnancy. I am LOSING MY MIND while I wait for my next scan. Lots of brown and dark red spotting so it doesn't look promising but that evil kernel of hope will not go...

DaisyMay25 · 07/01/2018 17:09

@BrokenBaubles that sounds like an agonising wait for you! When's your next scan? Your levels seem high for it to be from a mc five weeks ago though

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 07/01/2018 17:13

I'll update you guys. Hopefully they won't keep me waiting around in the room with everyone else again and it's just straight forward from here on out

Boboelephant · 07/01/2018 17:13

@BrokenBaubles oh I bet!! That's a long time to drag on. Fingers crossed for you that it's a new bub. When is your next scan?

Boboelephant · 07/01/2018 17:15

@UnicornsandRainbows1 What time is your appt tomorrow? Good luck! Definitely be pushy if need be, you need to be able to move forward!

peachesarenom · 07/01/2018 17:20

Hi everyone,

I've been invited to join by flatwhite32 so I hope I'll be welcome to join. I had a mc last week, 11 weeks. It was awful.

I'm really keen to get pregnant again. I think I've stopped bleeding. Should I take a pregnancy test and then if it's negativve just crack on? I kind of want to try tonight but I cooked for myself the first time since mc just pasta and had to go to bed for a long nap after so might not be physically strong enough.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 07/01/2018 17:28

It's just a walk-in from 8-11 so I'll try and get there just before 8 so hopefully I'll be one of the 1st seen

Eastend2015 · 07/01/2018 17:36

Welcome bauble and peaches so sorry you find yourselves here.

Bauble I had a MC mid Dec at 6 wks, embryo was around 5 weeks, hormone levels were just over 1000 and rapidly dropped over the course of a week so everything crossed for you!

Peaches no medical reason not to crack on but yes would be sensible to make sure you are physically and mentally well enough.

Boboelephant · 07/01/2018 17:38

@peachesarenom hello and I'm so sorry for your loss. You are very welcome although I'm sorry you have to be here.
I had surgery for my MMC almost 4 weeks ago. I am also desperately keen to be pregnant again. I decided to crack on after bleeding stopped and I got a neg hpt but I think you have to take care of yourself too. It is a huge trauma on your body. We first dtd 8 days after but didn't get a negative test until 2 weeks after. Then I ovulated shortly after that. Depending on the length of your cycles you probably still have a little time until ovulation so don't beat yourself up if you can't manage it tonight. Best of luck to you.
@UnicornsandRainbows1 soundslike a plan. Good luck.

peachesarenom · 07/01/2018 17:38

Thanks @Eastend2015 how are you getting on?

BrokenBaubles · 07/01/2018 17:39

@daisymay25 @boboelephant my next scan is 2 weeks on Monday. It was meant to be 2 weeks from the Friday just gone but I'm off to Paris to meet my bestie who lives in France that day, so they suggested the following Monday. Like a fool I agreed. I'm going to try and change my appointment to the day before I go so I can either drown my sorrows in Paris or celebrate.

peachesarenom · 07/01/2018 17:40

Thanks Boboelephant I think I need to calm down and have a rest/continue to rest.

Boboelephant · 07/01/2018 18:09

@BrokenBaubles oh that's a long wait!! Did they give a reason for 2 weeks? I thought it might be 1. If I were you I'd definitely try and get it before you go to Paris. Then you can either celebrate or commiserate with your bestie.

BrokenBaubles · 07/01/2018 18:19

@boboelephant I think it's because they're more likely to have a clear answer by then - if it's alive the embryo will be more than 7 weeks so the heartbeat should be visible. At 6 weeks sometimes they can see it, sometimes they can't. It is such a long time. My spotting is turning redder and redder now so I'm not feeling too optimistic.

beanhunter · 07/01/2018 18:26

Can I ask a stupid opk question (as lucky me gets to have recurrent mc and infertility). Yesterday had positive opk around 12pm and then at 9pm def ov pain. However this morning at 9 opk was even more positive? I don’t understand. We’ve dtd weds, fri and sat. Both of us a bit ill and frankly would rather miss tonight. Is that stupid? I don’t understand why I would have pain yesterday then still suck a pos opk today?

Boboelephant · 07/01/2018 18:48

@BrokenBaubles yes medically i know it makes sense but sometimes I wish emotions were factored in too as the waiting is so hard! I hope it flies by for you. Will keep everything crossed for you.

di626 · 07/01/2018 19:05

Welcome new ladies, sorry yous are here 😌!! @beanhunter not sure re the opk, no if u need rest tonight take one & dtd tomo night but think you are well covered 👌🏻

Ive woken up today with kidney infection 🙄, however pain gone so wonder if it has been a kidney stone 🤔, i really am a psycho at diagnosing myself with things!!!

di626 · 07/01/2018 19:08

@UnicornsandRainbows1 let us kow how you get on tomo will be thinking of you!
@peachesarenom take your time & dont put yourself under pressure just when you feel ready - m/c takes a lot out of us 💗
@BrokenBaubles aw that wait must be horrible

Flatwhite32 · 07/01/2018 21:03

Hi everyone.

@BrokenBaubles welcome, and so sorry. What an awful wait for you. We are here to listen. Xx

@peachesarenom so glad you found us my lovely. How are you doing? TMI, but we DTD 2 weeks after my ERPC. However, I couldn't stop crying afterwards. The next time we DTD I had horrible abdominal pains during it, so we then decided to leave things til after my first period. Everyone is different though, and you need to do what feels right for you.
I'm not going to lie, it's awful pregnancy testing knowing you've had a MC, but it does help you keep track to see if the HCG is leaving your system.

@UnicornsandRainbows1 Good luck with your appointment tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you. Don't let them fob you off (bloody difficult when you're feeling emotional. I wish they took the emotional impact of MCs more seriously).

To any new ladies, let me know if you want to join the secret Facebook group by PM'ing me the email address you use for FB. Your FB friends won't know you're a member, and they won't see anything you post. Absolutely no obligation though. Xx

Boboelephant · 07/01/2018 21:16

@Flatwhite32 how are you going? You must be almost at 12 weeks now! When is your scan?
