Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

My bestie just had her baby, I’m so happy for her but so sad, we were supposed to enjoy maternity leave together. Half way through a bottle of rose!

Hi @polkadotpixie! Lots of us in the same sad boat. I've not had an HSG yet as just paid for a fertility check but everything normal and this 'unexplained - probably just not long enough/not having enough sex' thing really getting to me.

@Lexie I feel your pain. I've been away for the whole of FW with work - literally day 8 to day 17 :(. Next FW is Christmas week. Daily shags at the ILs when we've had too much wine are totally what I fancy... not. Perhaps a Christmas miracle? Grin

It's our five year wedding anniversary in Feb and only two FWs between now and then - cycle 11 and 12. I know that milestone will start a lot of discussions from other people and I really just want to have news.

AF due tomorrow or in fourish days.

DTD last night and logged it on Glow out of habit. It came up with this pop up. 3.9 times. The fertile fuckers! DH & I DTD 11 times this cycle so far (quite a few around FW), although on the bright side (if there is one), I'm getting more sex!

@Bubblegum89 don't wanna get your hopes up or anything but if your period wasn't really a period and the flow was so light that you couldn't use a mooncup, and now your getting discharge when you wouldn't normally, if I were you I'd maybe try a test to be on the safe side. Don't wanna get your hopes up or anything, but that's what I'd do if I had such a light period.

I warn you though, I nearly tested mid period (and mines are consistent) because it was the first month I'd had sore boobs (for two and a half pudding weeks!) and was convinced I was pregnant haha. Oh, back in the first months... how innocent and naive I was! So I might not give the best advice on this subject!

@QuietTime haha I know, I can only assume that they only have sex during FW (which is a bit depressing) or they don't log all their sessions haha. I've just got into a habit of sticking all sessions in, it's quite interesting actually and one day around AF I almost always get kinda down and feel like DH doesn't love me haha, and that we hardly DTD haha, so this gives me a great way of showing that we actually DTD loads haha.

Can't buy a test today as my friend is over till tomorrow, so no early testing for me. Will get one Monday to use Tuesday morning if AF hasn't got me first. I feel like it's a race against time even though I know that if I'm upduffed, AF won't come anyway, but I feel like I MUST test before she gets a chance.😂

So I'm not sure if I can share this on this thread (so shoot me if I've got it wrong) bit we are in the earlybstagea of testing.

I had my day 5 bloods taken and they've come back normal
I've just had my day 21 bloods taken so we'll hear soon.

I'm sure it's good that all is normal but part of me is disappointed because I was hoping if they said abnormal they could do something to help us conceive. That probably sounds silly but it's how i feel.

@MaisyPops - totally get you on this one. I've not had 5/21 bloods as my cycles are irregular so there's not much point, but I've had other and the delightful internal scan. All came back normal so I was told to sod off again for another 6 months.
I was so desperate for there to be a reason/something to treat (a cause for the acne IN MY 30's WOULD BE NICE TOO Angry)
A friend announced her pg on facegeek around the same time, PCOS so had clomid... and got up the duff on the first cycle. I was so effing incensed and now rant every time she announces a new blog instalment very very pleased for her Grin

Totally get what you mean maisie felt the same - feel like a fixable problem is better than limbo. But I guess problems that do show aren't necessarily fixed so maybe it's for the best...

We’re on mighty 11 times on CD18 here.

My positive OPK came much later this month on CD16 compared to my usual CD13 but I think it’s down to the B complex bits I’ve been taking - it was a much stronger positive than I have ever had before so FX for a decent eggo!

I reckon they only log it around FW. I log all DTD, it's nice to see we do it more than just in FW! Tend to get some nice relaxed action around cd4-8 and then we have been forcing ourselves to do it every day pretty much cd12-20 which has been not as fun! Then in TWW I'm usually too miserable to do it Sad

@LexieJean unfortunately I think things loosen up a bit down there with age regardless... however there is not much difference between the A & B sizes if you look it up x

Hello to newbies! micropig my period was light but I did need the mooncup for the first few days so don’t think I’m preggo sadly! :(

My dr said you’re supposed to have sex every other day throughout your cycle. I don’t get why because there’s only one week out of 4 that you have any chance of getting pregnant. Besides, who the hell has the time and energy for that? We dtd in FW maybe 4 times. We dtd the rest of the month, once maybe twice a week. Maybe that’s where I’m going wrong lol

Bubble when I was 18 I got pregnant from DTD on like cd27. I had a normal 30 day cycle so thought I was safe. Wtf is that all about. Thank you sex education for my now 13yr old DD Grin

@maisy I totally agree - if there was a cause the docs could pinpoint I’d be able to deal with that and make a plan to move forward. The whole ‘unexplained’ part is a pain is the arse!

Do you think not DTD enough outside of fertile week is an issue?

DH & I don't have the highest sex drives and both work long hours so 3-4 times around ovulation is a lot for us and we don't bother much outside that period since TTC, probably not great but after 10 months it's more of a slog than fun anymore & due to my short cycles it's AF-ovulation-sick of sex-AF again pretty quickly!

Maybe that's where we're going wrong but I figured as long as ovulation was covered then the rest of the month doesn't really matter. I don't get EWCM so I figured the sperm would die by DTD any more than a couple of days before ovulation anyway?

@polkadot I don’t think there’s any specific number or rules, most info just says dtd as much as possible fw and when ov. One of my concerns is that I don’t dtd enough- we’re also at 3/4 times a month normally which I’ve put down to being together many years, getting older, tired from work etc. But we have both made an effort last 2/3 months to try and increase the dtd! Personally I can see my OH feels less under pressure if we dtd through the month not just fw.
