Part the third:

Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Our spreadsheet which includes what supplements (and potatoes) we are trying in our journey to motherhood.

All over the place (the username is a reference to my erratic womb, not the phone-in game on cduk!)
I thought it was settling down to a regular 35 days post early mc and then whoosh! it's disappeared again. Currently pinning my hopes on acupuncture getting them in some sort of regularity and in the meantime distracting myself with getting back into the gym Halo

I would highly recommend reflexology/reiki @WonkyDonk87 - I am giving that credit for my normal cycle this time & for not bleeding ALL the time. I haven't bled for 27 days before today & that's the longest for 6 months now.

Really hope acupuncture works for you.

WonkyDonk87 · 08/01/2018 19:37

Thanks @LovePinaColada.
If it doesn't do the job then I DEMAND Thomas Shelby as compensation Grin

NewSense · 08/01/2018 20:01

Had to google Thomas Shelby. He looks just like a friend's husband! Crazy!

It's weird, some people I can cope with their baby news and am genuinely delighted for them (such as the one born today, and another friend who is now pregnant after a long time struggling). Even couples who seemingly had no fertility problems, I can be happy for. And then other times I absolutely hate it, and cry and rant (not to them, obvs!). I don't think it can be a hormonal thing, as it seems to be that I'm just generally annoyed at some people more than others, rather than a timing thing. I had two pregnant cousins, due only a few weeks apart, and I was so happy for one and so angry/jealous about the other..?! Makes no sense.

Does anybody have any good coping strategies for dealing with another person's pregnancy when its someone you can't escape? Family member etc? I've got another one at the moment that I feel inordinately angry about (she didn't even take folic acid until about 7-8 weeks into the pregnancy Shock Shock Wink Grin ), and I need a way to cope with the remaining 5 months of her pregnancy.

polkadotpixie · 08/01/2018 20:21

Hi ladies

I hope it's okay for me to post this because I don't want to seem like a dick or just disappear but I got a shock natural BFP today

We were due to start fertility treatment in the next couple of months but I think the HSG I had in December must have cleared things out

I'm very happy of course but also terrified it'll all go away

I really hope I am still welcome to follow this thread because you have all been so lovely to me 💗

WonkyDonk87 · 08/01/2018 20:29

Woo hoo!!!! Congratulations @polkadotpixie!!!!

Massively chuffed for you xxxx

MynameisJune · 08/01/2018 20:35

Congratulations @polkadot, lovely news. We conceived DD a few months before we were due to start fertility testing/treatment last time around. I think having a plan took some of the stress away and that helped.

Good luck for a smooth 9 months!

Congrats polkadot :) a friend of mine was ttc for 4 years with no luck and then a month or so ago she had a HSG and she got pregnant on her next cycle. Funny how they seem to help sometimes. What lovely new for the new year for you!

LovePinaColada · 08/01/2018 21:01

Amazing, such lovely @polkadotpixie. So happy for you & wishing you a wonderful 9 months. Lovely to add some BFP luck to this thread. X

RhiBee29 · 08/01/2018 21:15

Congratulations @polkadotpixie, wishing you lots of luck x

I'm in fw, Ovia predicted ovulation for Thursday but I've had very little EWCM. I'm trying to follow SMEP so been doing OPK's since CD10 and got a smiley today on CD14. So happy as that's two cycles in a row which I hope means my cycles are back to normal after mc...it's only taken 6 months! Feeling hopeful Grin

If no bfp I'd like Billy from Stranger Things please, he's much hotter in real life without a mullet Wink

DoAsDreamersDo · 08/01/2018 21:30
