Part the third:

Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Our spreadsheet which includes what supplements (and potatoes) we are trying in our journey to motherhood.

Ba humbug. My only TTC friend has just told me she’s pregnant. I’m happy for her but also sad for me because once again, I’m the only one left. I’m the only one still waiting for a positive test which doesn’t turn out to be a shitty chemical pregnancy.

Ugh, why is this so hard?

Merrz · 29/11/2017 06:28

Just waiting, really feel for you. I'm really struggling to deal with my brother announcing he's going to be a dad. I keep thinking why not me, what have i done?? Like this is some kind of karma

RhiBee29 · 29/11/2017 06:45

Didn’t even bother to POAS today. Just waiting on AF now.

micropig · 29/11/2017 07:07

Got a friend coming over to visit for a few days till just after AF due (if on time) and 100% not telling her I am TTC so no POAS for me. AF due either Dec 3rd or 7th so even if she doesn't arrive when my friend is over I could still be out.

My next FW I will be away from DH so I'd be starting again next year on cycle 9, eek.

Was super hopeful after this fertile week but have gradually become more realistic and more grumpy about it.

Will be spending Xmas with my adorable and unplanned niece, while my family and friends make remarks about how I'm "getting practice" whenever I hold or talk to her, grr.

Si1ver · 29/11/2017 08:07

@micropig just set them on fire.

This cycle seems unbelievably long for some reason. I've not even ovulated yet and I'm already on the testing count down. All the zen and calm about TTC which I'd cultivated over the last 18 cycles has been bloody shattered by the MC. This is what I was like when we started out.

micropig · 29/11/2017 10:46

@Si1ver haha don't think that'd stop them.

Awch, sorry to hear you are feeling that way. Can't even imagine what it must be like.

Sat at the airport waiting for my friend. Nearly fell asleep on the bus here and was feeling a bit queezy. Naturally I wondered if it was pregnancy symptoms instead of realising it was coz I was reading a book on the bus and hardly slept last night. Just checked my Fitbit and my RHR has dropped again. It's never been so consistently low in the TWW before. Pregnancy is meant to make it rise, so definitely looks like I'm out for this year 😩😭

Couple sitting next to me have a minuscule baby with them 😩

SoozC · 29/11/2017 11:08

Ah, @micropig, you never know, don't give up hope!

@Si1ver, I understand. I've been a woman possessed about opks - not knowing when I'll ov after so long of being certain has thrown me for a loop.

@RhiBee29, everything crossed for you!

I HAVE EWCM TODAY!! I'm ridiculously happy about it, I should get a positive opk tomorrow or Friday. We have dtd Monday and this morning so I feel more hopeful than I have over the last week or so.

micropig · 29/11/2017 11:24

Happy shagging @SoozC !! 😁

ronswansonstache · 29/11/2017 12:34

When's the best day to DTD following the LH surge? I'm using the clear blue digital OPK which gives a smiley face for the LH surge & I usually aim to DTD as soon as possible afterwards! It does give a 48 hour window however so is waiting till the following day better as it is closer to actual ovulation time?

DoAsDreamersDo · 29/11/2017 12:36

Well my colleague came in with her gorgeous baby boy and I managed a couple of cuddles and a coo of "ooh you'll be next" and surprisingly I'm feeling ok AND my period didn't miraculously appear like I thought it would. If AF isn't here by Friday then I'm going to purchase a FRER because I'll be a few days late by then.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 29/11/2017 12:55

@ronswansonstache I would do both! 12-48 hours till ov, post surge.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 29/11/2017 12:55

Good luck @DoAsDreamersDo !

DoAsDreamersDo · 29/11/2017 14:27

Wrote too soon - hello AF! Grin

ronswansonstache · 29/11/2017 15:01

I'm sorry dreamers AF always turns up as soon as you start to have that glimmer of hope! Sad

LimpLettice · 29/11/2017 15:04

9dpo spotting again. I'm so, so sick of this. I can't even have an actual 2ww to get my hopes up. Fucks sakes. I just feel like jacking it all in, what's the point in putting myself through this every month?

I wrote and lost about 3 other replies in my rage sorry. To cut it short, Just I really feel for you. It's shit. Sooz I hope your ewcm is abundant and fertile, and ron do it now! It needs time to be waiting for your egg, so today and tomorrow.

DoAsDreamersDo · 29/11/2017 15:18

Thanks Ron I really was just clutching at that glimmer of hope because I really didn't think it would be my month. But isn't that when everyone else always ends up being pregnant? Smile

Looking at my long cycles my BFP is now due next year! That's a pretty miserable thought (especially when I'm having a very relaxed month TTC in December).

ronswansonstache · 29/11/2017 15:25

Dreamers I got AF last cycle about 2 hrs after doing a POAS. Seems like it brings it on! I'd also completely lost my mind and did one mid-cycle (CD13) but that's another story... 🙄

LimpLettice Any chance it could be implantation bleeding?

florafoxtrot · 29/11/2017 15:35

Sorry to hear that Dreamers hope you are OK.

Limp have you spoken to your docs about the spotting? I feel like if you have random spotting you should tell your GP - but as soon as you mention that you are TTC - it seems like they don't give an arse about such symptoms!

Get on it Sooz Wink

lostintranslocation · 29/11/2017 19:20

Despite AF arriving today (surprise surprise), can I just take a moment to publicly celebrate that my husband has taken steps (without me nagging!) to finally get another SA done!! Hardly something i share with friends and family ("Guess what DH is doing next week??!!"), so I'll celebrate it here! Where you totally get it!

It's been 3 and a half years since his last disastrous ones, which were crazy low in every way, but he hasn't shown any willingness to make steps towards IVF/ICSI until he came home today saying he's booked in for an SA, "just to see what we're working with and what might lie ahead"... That's progress, right?!

RhiBee29 · 29/11/2017 20:27

Definitely progress @lostintranslocation hope things have improved. My DH came home clutching a tub of men’s multi vits declaring he was doing his bit Hmmif only that’s all it took!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 29/11/2017 21:12

Brilliant news @lostintranslocation !! This morning I worked out my dh has a bmi of 27, he is officially overweight Sad it used to be 21, a couple of years ago! He has put on almost 20kg. He's got to face it now. Still waiting for the SA results. Friday will be a week.

I have acupuncture tomorrow, I am meant to ovulate by tomorrow in order for the progesterone bloods (day "21" test) to be at the right time, and I have not ovulated yet i don't think (temp will confirm, really hoping for a rise tomorrow or Friday!).

FairyAnn · 29/11/2017 22:03

I have an ovulation question I hope you lovely ladies can help with!

Last month my AF started a few days early, splash of red then stopped. Three days later it starts again, on my actual period due date, so when do I track my ovulation from?

The early start, or from when it starts and lasts a few days as normal?

SoozC · 29/11/2017 23:24

I guess it depends how much there was the first time. Do you often get spotting before af? Before my mc I spotted virtually every cycle, sometimes a day before af and sometimes randomly during my lp, so always counted cd1 as the day the flow started properly.

RhiBee29 · 30/11/2017 06:36

POAS (bfn) to try and hurry af along as I’m away this weekend and cd1 is always really crampy, hoping she’ll show up today.

micropig · 30/11/2017 06:48

Sitting here trying to work out whether I had sore boobs yesterday or whether I dreamt it 🤔 I can see from my RHR that I have no hope this month and yet I still keep hoping...
