Part the third:

Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Our spreadsheet which includes what supplements (and potatoes) we are trying in our journey to motherhood.

I'm just popping my head back in. I did introduce myself maybe 2 threads ago but I'm a chronic lurker! AF got me last month and I'm now about halfway through the 2ww.

I have nothing new to add other than sorry you're all still here, and why on earth do people feel the need to come on conception boards to complain about having accidentally got pregnant? Angry

SparkwoodAnd21 · 27/11/2017 17:15

I just did a quiz on Buzzfeed and it says I’m going to have three children. So my current headache is apparently caused not by last night’s wine but twins. Thanks Buzzfeed!

QuietTime · 27/11/2017 17:35

No need to apologise merrz know exactly what you mean

Afraid am not going to cheer things up, as AF arrived as expected on Sat; on her way out today. Wasn't too bad on the weekend and was busy but feel like shit today. Just want to go home and hide away until I can get a referral. URGH.

Justwaitingforaline · 27/11/2017 17:38

spark I did that one, apparently I’m having three two but my dusty womb says otherwise

I seem to have had my positive OPK on CD 9 this month which is weird as it’s always on CD13. Not a sniff since and now on CD14. Had some weird CM last night which I can only describe as slightly brown and very, very tacky and stretchy ( like slug slime). No idea what any of it means plus I’m coming down with a virus and generally feel like asssssssssss.

QuietTime · 27/11/2017 17:41

Sorry about AF fresas

Know what you mean about tbr accidentals - I get people having their own situations to deal with, but don't get the posting a clearly positive test pic. But maybe it's just a way to offload if you're in a tizz and can't talk to anyone else, who am I to judge. Wish I just had a reason to test - don't even get that far. Dreaming big, guys.

Anyhoo, any more fun news? Royals don't count.

QuietTime · 27/11/2017 17:44

Oh no, just hope you're not getting ill! And hope you're getting down to it in case Grin

Bubblegum89 · 27/11/2017 18:13

The impending Royal Wedding isn’t fun news unless we get a bank holiday out of it QuietTime haha

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/11/2017 18:17

@Bubblegum89 sorry if I've forgotten this but did your "new" DP have any tests yet like SA? When I told my GP that my daughter is not DH's, it was the first thing he suggested. Waiting for my dh results this week 🤞🏼 if they are good then I'll be more hopeful I think .. or worry that it's me! I'm having bloods done on the 7th, so I need to ovulate this Thursday for them to do the progesterone test properly. But if the SA results are bad - that basically means ivf is necessary right? Confused we will be 1 year TTC this Christmas (with 1 MMC at 10 weeks (8 weeks' development) in May).

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/11/2017 18:17

Ps hope you get on with the mooncup! Interested to hear re flow...

Hopeislost · 27/11/2017 18:19

Commiserations to all that are out this month. AF here too, two days early.

Merrz · 27/11/2017 18:19

It's hard not to get annoyed by these fertile feckers isn't it Angry
What cycle ttc is everyone on? I'm beginning to feel like It's never going to happen

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/11/2017 18:24

Cycle 7 post MC. Cycle 10 since started trying. So not as long as some but approaching due date and thoroughly fed up. Friends and colleagues all pregnant!

Bubblegum89 · 27/11/2017 18:29

GrumpySquirrel yeah he’s had his SA and it came back fine :) I’ve been pregnant by him before but it ended in a termination (not my choice unfortunately but that’s a story for another day!) so I knew that it was me that was the issue after having had a d&c that resulted in a terrible infection that although it was treated straight away, I believe it did irrepairable damage. I don’t think your partner having sperm issues necessarily means IVF is your only option. There are medications and a change in lifestyle that help a lot and it can be a fairly easy thing to sort out. Good luck for your blood tests! Oh and the mooncup is in as we speak, I’m going to take it out before bed and see what I’ve caught 😂 it’s actually not noticeable unlike those lovely dry tampons

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/11/2017 18:34

Oh yes, I remember now, I'm so sorry Thanks

Glad the mooncup is comfy. I'd give it 12 hours to see what it collects Grin especially if your af is light.

DH lifestyle could be better. He used to be very fit but has put on weight the last 2 years and drinks too much coffee and beer. He's now cut down on coffee but always forgets to take his vitamins. He's starting a new job in the new year so hope he'll have more time to exercise as it's much fewer hours.

ronswansonstache · 27/11/2017 18:39

@MrsMidge0505 dpo = days past ovulation. There's still a few MN acronyms I'm not sure of, but I think I know most of the TTC ones!

RhiBee29 · 27/11/2017 18:52

Cycle 9 here, cycle 5 after early mc. Welcome @Merrz

SparkwoodAnd21 · 27/11/2017 19:03

Buggered if I know what cycle I’m on but it’s probably around 20 or so. ☹️🕸

QuietTime · 27/11/2017 19:15

Sorry midge didn't see your question!

flora has the rage eased? Sounds like a rollercoaster...good your partner is understanding :)

Cycle 14 or 15 - TTC a year. Think my sister realises we're struggling - sort of hope she asks as she took 4 years and would definitely understand. Don't want to burden her with it if she doesn't, though...

bubblegum you got the mooncup in! I still haven't managed it (though didn't try very hard...) Blush

Dandelion89 · 27/11/2017 19:15

I’m approaching end of cycle 9, 3nd cycle since mc.

florafoxtrot · 27/11/2017 19:23

Rage has eased Quiet - I may just have had a touch of the hanger...

I'm on Cycle 18 of TTC, can't quite believe it's been that long and that I'm still standing!

Agreed, royal wedding will be good if we get a day off!

QuietTime · 27/11/2017 19:35

God that poor woman on the other thread, just read back the rest of the conversation - puts my moaning into perspective.

On a separate note, are you guys keeping up supplements? I'm now barely taking folic acid and wondering where others are at

Bubblegum89 · 27/11/2017 20:00

Which thread QuietTime? And I actually found a really easy way to get the mooncup in lol the ways they showed you can fold it were ridiculous but I found another way that is super easy. I’m impatient to take it out but my periods are so crap that I know I should leave it in as long as possible. I’ve got a feeling that there’s not going to be much there :(

Bubblegum89 · 27/11/2017 20:01

Oh and I’m on cycle 13 of ttc! No pregnancies since starting

SoozC · 27/11/2017 20:31

I'm on cycle 21 (I think), 1st cycle after mc. No positive opk yet, although at least I don't seem to have any more stomach ache from mc, think the rest of the blood has been absorbed.

I stopped taking pregnancy vitamins the day I found out about mc and went straight back on my cocktail of 5 tablets: folic acid + vit d, vit c + zinc, iron, omega 3 and vit b complex. I'm doing it religiously as if folic acid deficiency caused problems that caused mc (as I hadn't been taking it for a few months before my bfp) then there's an easy way to prevent that. Probably bollocks but it helps me mentally!

Sending out big Monday night hugs to you guys! x

ronswansonstache · 27/11/2017 20:49

Cycle 20 here. Two CPs (I think).

I'd been fairly relaxed about the whole thing until I got to the year mark in May and every cycle since then has been really really hard.

Taking folic acid obvs, also Ubiquinol for cell health, Inofolic for PCOS. The latter one was recommended by my gyno, possibly because he didn't have much else to suggest! (no NHS IVF in this area)
