December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise!

This will be our first Christmas without our grandma. She loved Christmas.

@Owlpatrol. LOL my dh said the exact same thing to me last night about dtd every night - you should have seen my face. I definitely cannot dtd every night! We have been doing it every other night since cd 4, bar last night because I was so shattered! I think every other night is exhausting enough!

I can agree with this being a shit year. I thought having open chest surgery would be the hardest thing I had to live through but losing the baby was the worst most horrible thing that's ever happened to me.

I caved in and bought some cheapo preg tests. I may regret this after ive wound myself up 🙈😂

So many posts today I've only just got around to reading!! Congrats @babydreaming - lovely to hear the exciting news and gives us hope! :) bfn today for me and temp dropped so af def on the way, but feeling much cheerier about the whole thing today... at least it's the weekend and no bfp means I can drink as much as I like and eat tons of camembert at my Xmas party tomorrow :) hope you're all doing okay.

Oh but just want to add my annoyance at fertility friend... anyone have the VIP version of the app? You know the points bit in the pregnancy monitor section... It's giving me 95 points at the moment!! Which is ludicrous given my temps dropping and my many bfns! Definitely not to be trusted!!

I'm on a night shift tonight should I still temp and OPK at the same time? I got a positive today but I want to keep doing it till it clears so I don't blame myself for not BDing enough if I get a BFN. My OH works away half of every month so he won't always be here for ovulation need to know we've done our best when he is. Anyone else's OH work away? X

Just too my temp and it’s plummeted! My chart just does not look right now :/ this mornings temp was 34.83 degrees which is really low :/ I am snuggled up in a big duvet tho, usually I only have a few blankets so not sure if that makes a difference? Let me know what you think..

@impatientmama my hisband is away loads too! Usually about 1-2 times per month he has to go to Africa as he is a lawyer in oil and gas and does lots of work out there.

This month he actually went for a whole week over my fertile week except for the 1st day according to Ovia! We dtd on that day before he left and somehow got that BFP!! I think I must have ovulated a day early or something?

It’s super annoying though. I remember when TTC our 1st there were 3 months coming up when I was potentially in my fertile week and he was away. I was desperate for a baby and actually cried to him about it!!! Luckily we managed to
Conceive before those 3 months but it’s really frustrating when the opportunity is taken away by work!!

I’ve just woken up as my baby is waking and I have a long work shift today...going to do a quick test and see if that line has dissapeared! Dreading it already.

Little bit darker! Not a huge difference but I guess that’s why they advise waiting a few days before testing...don’t think I’ll trust it til I’m past AF date though (tues)! I think could still go either way!

I'm waiting on AF to hopefully show today or at least have spotting get much heavier. Like a crazy woman I broke open my cbafm test sticks yesterday and got a veryyyy faint almost not there second line. Wasn't sure what that meant so ignored it, took another in the evening and there was another but slightly more obvious than the morning. Took another today and while it's still very light, it's a teeny little bit clearer. Refuse to buy any more frers though this month unless I'm late as I feel like I've kept them in business this month!!

What's cbafm again, clear blue? If it is I've heard if you break them open they can give false posatives. I hope I'm wrong though @Fia256 x

It's the clear blue advanced fertility monitor. You can't break them open, they are just a normal strip type thing. But I know with the ovulation sticks they say don't read the test, so it's probably nothing. It's just strange that they have progressively got more obvious each one! We will see x

@impatientmammy I don’t really want to waste money on a frer! I can see the line with the IC and figure if things progress then it’ll get darker and if it isn’t meant to be then buying expensive tests isn’t going to change outcome? Although having said that I did hover for quite long around then in boots yesterday!

I bought 10 ICs from Amazon and 30 OPKs for about £4...only ended up using 5 OPKs so going to have lots left over! I’ll use all the pregnancy tests and when they run out might treat myself to a CB weeks indicator if we get that far!

These are them (each side of the test) as always, the line is much clearer and bluer in real life than it is in the picture. But as it's blue dye, and also not your standard wee on the stick and read the lines type test I'm not going to get my hopes up and just assume af will make an appearance. It's just strange that 24 hours ago I could see a faint line but was too faint to capture in a picture, and yesterday even was a bit darker and only just visible in a picture.
But as I say, I'm not going to think much of it!

Just re read my original post this morning, when I say I broke open I mean got them out the box to use, not took them apart incase anyone reads it that way
