December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise!

@fia256 I'm totally the same with the overtesting... but I got a bunch of reslly cheap ones from Amazon so I can feel like I'm doing SOMETHING! I know poas early is a bad idea but knowing that it COULD be bfp is too tempting! (Even though it never is; tested this morning at 10-12dpo... bfn)

@gem173 I've recently got in to temping. Like you, I was worried about low temps pre ovulation - my lowest was 35.75 - and internet suggested underavtive thyroid. However, my temps rose much higher post ov so maybe it's just that we're all a bit different.

God this tww is more stressful than I ever knew!!

BFN from me this morning, I think I'm around 12/13 dpo and due af between today and Saturday. No af this morning but very crampy quite low down so all out of hope. CD27 so I'm sure I'd have had at least a faint line by now! Fx for some Christmas/new year babies, a lot of us seem to be due to test again around then!

This cycle is really confusing me! Usually I dry up in the second half of my cycle but I've got sticky clear mucus? There's a fair bit of it too. Is that normal?

@LookingAtTheStars89 I've had that most of the second half of my cycle, it's been very similar to ewcm for me.

I feel sick today. Was sat in a meeting this morning and felt really sicky. However the bfn this morning contradicts any symptoms really. I've also had no spotting since yesterday afternoon but trying to not get my hopes up with that as I'm sure it's on and off before af usually! Just don't get why my temp keeps going up but getting bfns. Could scream with frustration of not knowing lol x

I used opks from CD9 til 2 dpo the internet cheapies so i can see the buildup, peak and reduction after, to help pinpoint the ov day.

AJ. Temp still above coverline and not a significant drop so still well in.

Im assuming as we are going into winter and its bloody freezing that it would be affecting our body temps, depending on whether you have your heating on during the night? My DP insists on having the heating off during the night to save money so im waking up freezing. Im surprised my bbt isnt nose-diving lol

May I tentatively join? Been taking folic acid for a few months, had my coil out yesterday, due my period at the start of next week, I think. Not officially starting TTC until January but protection less before then so who knows. Number 1 was an accident and my cycles range from 23-35 days so I've no idea what I'm doing! Is there any way to regulate the cycles to make fertile window more consistent?

@Aph413 yes now I look at yours it I clear to me that it varies for some people. You look like you could be ovulating soon!

@Aph413 your chart is looking like mine before I ovulated, so I think you will do any day now!

@HoneyCake86 our timer on the heater is broken, so we have to switch it on manually in the morning when we get up, so I'm always freezing when I wake up! Makes my temp rising each day even more bizarre!

I've been wondering about that @HoneyCake86 as it's been bloody freezing in my bedroom the last week! Flo thinks I ovulated on Saturday - my temp did go up considerably but seems to be up one day, down the next and then up again
It's very annoying! Got paperwork for day 21 bloods (but I have long cycles so didn't ov til day 20 haha) but not sure when to go as the clinic isn't open on Saturdays.... anyone know if I'd be better going Friday (6 dpo) or Monday (9 dpo)?

Ahhh yay @Keiki I had mine out Tuesday was it a mirena?
Fingers crossed for all of you currently testing.
I have two questions for you all.

1. A dropping body temp is that pre or post ovulation?
2. If your feeling a bit sore down there what can you use so it doesn't prevent you having sex 🙈

Cycle 1 after D&C for a MMC discovered at 11+4 (conceived on cycle 5 of TTC)

I think AF/BFP is due on December 12th but not sure what my cycles will be like after the MMC. Anyway we have decided to TTC straight away so think I'm just coming out of my FW.

Would love nothing more than to have a BFP for Christmas! Fingers crossed for everyone.

@Fia256 The only other things I've experienced are headaches and lower back pain x

Make that stomach camps too! I've had them on and off for a bit today.

I'm now defiantly in the December bus. Did a test in the 26th which I thought was negative but later saw a very faint line - see photo.
I got my period today though and it's horrendous - am thinking maybe a chemical pregnancy?
Has anyone else experienced this?

Can i join! Im totally new to this, found the website by accident! had a negative test earlier this month (i actually managed the 2ww!!) me and my DH were devastated when my period arrived... its our first ttc. i had a miscarriage last year, we managed to conceive by accident last time and now we are trying it seems impossible.

Is it just me or does it drive you absolutely mental? I cant sleep, and i am giving myself headaches because conception is the only thing i can think about! I am constantly on google and wondering if i actually feel symptoms or am i just loosing my mind?!?

I have brought ovulation tests this time, are they any good?

I feel exhausted and desperate!!

@Hardheadedwoman39 I would say that was definitely a chemical pregnancy I had that in September, got a positive test, then it got lighter and lighter then I started bleeding a week after AF had been due

ImpatientMammy no mine was a Jaydess, which was a low hormone one, so I've had monthly bleeds throughout.

I'm hoping in some ways it's a positive sign really as I'm 39 and this was month two of trying after coming off the pill.
It's now given me something else to endlessly research though....did you have worse pain @Fia256 ?

Joining since I'm ttc#2 and not having much luck so far. Tried about 6 months of going with the flo- literally- nothing happened, so for the last 3 months been tracking ovulation, not drinking, dtd more times than I thought possible, and now just realising how difficult it is to manage my feelings since all
I am thinking about constantly is 'will I get pregnant this month'!

Anyway, I normally don't let myself get carried away and never test early but this month was different and so I thought I would share it on here, since no one in my friend group or family know we are ttc.

So AF is always like clockwork- never been irregular or late! This month(when we had been dtd until our bedsheets wore out basically- I know tmi ) I was 6 days late! Managed to wait until then to do a test-BFN! Still no AF 10 days after expected AF and throughout this time I experienced every pregnancy symptom possible- so I was convinced the next test would be my BFP! Began to think about how we would tell people and when the due date would be but it was BFN! Went to the drs and it was discovered I had a UTI. Was given anti biotics and now AF has appeared the day after the course of antibiotics stopped! I just couldn't believe it! Everything I googled said UTIs wouldn't stop your cycle but it does girls so even after I was told it was a uti, I still thought there was a chance I could be pregnant since no AF!

Just thought I'd post on here in case this happens to anyone else and they were doing what I was doing- googling like mad! Weird thing is I have had UTIs before and didn't get the burning sensation or the feeling of still needing to Pee just when you've finished!

I guess in summary what made me post on here was the shock that our bodies can trick us in such a cruel way! Once AF goes I'll get back to dtd so wish me luck x

@Hardheadedwoman39 I've had two now, the recent one this year I actually had absolutely no pain whatsoever, but the one before that was like a heavy painful period!

SLR1 yes ttc is driving me bonkers as well!!! The tww is the worst and it's all that I can think about day and night! I think it's the unknown of it all and the fact there is no step by step guidance to guarantee! Good luck everyone on here, there is something a little conforting knowing that we are all in the same boat

This thread is moving very quickly now! I’m so excited that it’s december tomorrow, hopefully it’ll bring lots of BFPs!!

I’m about 8/9dpo now I think and planning on testing on sat as going out for drinks that evening and want to know if I can have my wine! Pretty sure I’m out this month though as we only dtd once on 1st day fertile week and then hubby went away! I’m excited to start a new cycle though and try properly next month!

Absolutely horrible

Got a few positive tests over the weekend

Line wasn't getting darker though

After a few days the tests were turning negative

Went to gp who was fuckimg useless

Took myself to epu for blood test which confirmed I'm not pregnant atm

Which leaves us to the conclusion it was most likely chemical pregnancy

Af due today and she's not here yet

Did opk don't ask me why lol obv was neg
