Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Our spreadsheet which includes what supplements (and potatoes) we are trying in our journey to motherhood.

Hello all! Long time lurker here. I've been in hiding throughout TTC but have now decided after 2 years of trying I could do with some TTC solidarity on this journey.

Stats:
BustleSpouts
Age 41 (when did that happen?)
TTC 24 months (ish)
Partner: possible poor sperm motility so having a re-test (and he is a bit older than me)
Me: all seems reasonably okay but having a hysteroscopy soon to make sure.
Supplements: everything under the sun inc. ubiquinol and maca.

Getting rather fed up and losing a bit of hope.

dudemeister76 · 12/11/2017 15:34

@Hopefullywaiting Thanks xxx
@BustleSpouts Welcome! I have just turned 41 so i definitely understand how that one feels. FX you're not here too long (no offence)
Im on the ubiquinol and maca too. Been taking all sorts since mmc in july and hoping its doing some good. Do you reckon the maca has balanced your hormones out?

BustleSpouts · 12/11/2017 16:03

Thanks for the welcome @dudemeister76 TBH I don’t think the maca is doing much. My periods have always been pretty regular. I’ve had the various tests done which seem to confirm ovulation etc. I suppose taking the maca does no harm. I’m not a big fan of yams! Wink

NimbleKnitter · 12/11/2017 17:05

Uhmm. So I just got three positive tests

Justwaitingforaline · 12/11/2017 17:08

Congrats Nimble, I doubt 3 will be a fluke! Happy and healthy 9 months to you

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/11/2017 17:12

@NimbleKnitter. Congratulations! x

dudemeister76 · 12/11/2017 17:17

OMG @NimbleKnitter !!! I bloody knew we'd have a BFP soon. So happy for you xxx Thats cheered me up that has!! Splendid news.

dudemeister76 · 12/11/2017 17:26

@BustleSpouts I can't really tell if the maca has actually done much because my cycles were shot after the mc anyway but i have noticed a definite reduction in PMS. I'm much less of a psycho these days lol. Im waiting to go to an appointment on the 21st for blood test results so we will see how that pans out.
12 DPO and zero symptoms. I'm looking forward to feeling positive for a few days next cycle......and so it goes on.....again.

peachesarenom · 12/11/2017 17:34

RhiBee29 · 12/11/2017 18:56

Wah congratulations @NimbleKnitter so pleased for you Flowers

Tiredofbeingsotired · 12/11/2017 19:03

@NimbleKnitter that's just wonderful! So, so pleased for you.

I'm at that point oh just wishing AF would hurry the flip up - due between tomorrow & Wed and ridiculous lower back pain so well on her way. Just want to get into CD1 and cycle 20 (I think)

LimpLettice · 12/11/2017 19:48

Goodness me. Nimble I really am so pleased to hear this. Lovely, hopeful news.

I’ve taken the weekend off mn and thinking about ttc. Lots of booze, Xmas shopping and wedding planning which has really relaxed both of us. Bone a lot plan starts Tuesday, so this weekend has been dtd without pressure and v helpful. And fun. I need to get mind off things for my own sanity. Another cousin announced a surprise bfp on Friday and I just wanted to sob.

BustleSpouts · 12/11/2017 21:31

Congratulations @NimbleKnitter !

@dudemeister76 I’ve have lots of blood tests over the past two years and they seem to show things are working. Fingers crossed that yours are ok too!

AF is just on her way out here so back to super healthy, no wine and loads of fruit/veg.

Bubblegum89 · 12/11/2017 22:03

Oh ffs. Had a positive opk yesterday afternoon (super positive like the second line came up straight away), negative opk last night. Negative opk today, positive tonight again. Going insane.

minime2017 · 13/11/2017 07:27

Congratulations Nimble! Great to see a long term ttc'er graduate. I'm about 7/8 dpo and nothing to report other than sore boobs yesterday. However I'm not expecting a bfp as fw came and went.

Si1ver · 13/11/2017 08:04

@NimbleKnitter that's great news! Huge congratulations, wishing you a calm and trouble free nine months.

I tested positive yesterday and also got a very pale second line on a dip test. Every other test yesterday came up as negative. All tests this morning are so white that they could be used as a persil advert. What do we reckon? Dodgy test or world's shortest chemical? Still no period.

LimpLettice · 13/11/2017 14:19

Two tests S1lver? Hard to say but I know I have defo had a couple of very short CPs this year, one with the worlds faintest test, one a bit more positive, I think it is fairly common. Give it another 48 hours and check again?

LexieJean · 13/11/2017 16:22

@nimble you give me hope- congratulations!!! Wishing you every health for the next 9 months!

Pretty sure my sore boobs mean AF due any day, echoing what many of you have said I just want it to start so I can get on with the next cycle. Read an article this morning on The Pool- someone TTC, referred to clinic for various tests etc then having to wait another year for IVF. Is this right? She is 35. I thought my referral was to explore and then hormones then IVF. I’ve already spent 13months TTC what the hell difference is another year going to make?! And I’ll be 36 with dried up granny eggs if any at all!!

LexieJean · 13/11/2017 16:29

And catching up on weekend posts I missed @limplettuce sounds like a good plan for a lovely weekend, did you manage to take your mind off things?

Welcome lurking @bustlespouts

Smile
NimbleKnitter · 13/11/2017 16:32

Up here (Edinburgh) your referral is to the fertility clinic, where you join their waiting list (currently one year).
