So, onto cycle number 2! Anyone else quite new to this game?

We started trying properly last month, and inevitably my husband was away during the key few days! Unsurprisingly, my period arrived bang on time so now we're onto cycle number 2.

I'm being very impatient about conceiving and it seems to have been forever already (I know, I'm being a crazy person!) but I think part of that is having taken pregnacare since April, even though we were still using contraception then. I guess I'm just not very good at not being in control... I've had to seriously educate my husband too - he seemed to be convinced that we could get pregnant at any time of the month, and that it would inevitably happen immediately! He didn't realise that it often takes months even for healthy couples.

I've tried the fertility check lube this cycle...mainly cus I hadn't realised that you're not supposed to use normal lube and I was too late to get pre-seed/conceive plus...it's supposed to mimic CM but I found it pretty messy...I'm in my TWW so let's see if it helped although I doubt it!

No AF yet. Trying to hold out now til the 5th before testing. Or the very earliest Monday since that'll only be 2 days early.
Not enjoying this wait especially not knowing if I even ovulated this time.
Going to sit on my hands Grin

In other news just been baby bombed! It made me laugh as hubby pulled a face when he heard the news and he is always impeccably behaved!

peaches I honestly couldn't say. No positive opks, no temperature spike, no ewcm just watery. Those signs make me think no but I had pains that could've been ovulation along side the watery CM.
It's all so much fun. I only wanted to chart so I knew how long my cycles were! This time next week I'll know one way or another at least

Hi All,

This is my first post on mumsnet, we got married in June and are on the first month of TTC. I had my coil removed at the start of September and there's been no sign of AF so far apart from a little bit of spotting on the second week.

I had a tonne of pregnancy symptoms last week but have had a BFN when I've tested (which I've done 3 times... even though I know that's silly as there's really not been enough time!) and the symptoms seem to have died down now so it was probably just my body adjusting post coil, who knows.

Am waiting for AF really so I can have a bit more of an idea of when I ovulated, don't want to use the kits or anything really as I'm getting obsessive enough over it as it is! So atm we're just DTD every 2-3 days and hoping for the best!

I haven't been able to sleep much at all last night (have had 3-4 hours at the most) and got back to sleep around 6am to have a really vivid dream that I'd had a BFP... way to smash my dreams when I woke up that's for sure!

Anyway best of luck to everyone, it's so nice to have a place to come and vent/chat about this stuff! Smile

Forever retro, i know its crap but if u havent gor ur bfp yet give it time. One month is a tricky one as ur body is kick starting every thing again. Do u feel any better?

Peaches-did u buy ur book 😉 Im totally with u on the cervical mucus being a no go area, it doesnt even have a nice name!!!! Maybe if it were called lady flower nectairne i might think about it but cant see that one taking off in the medical profession any time soon.

APH what do u think of the boots lube? Any good?

Well darling hubby dearest had his manly date and he said "for a first date it had a happy ending" followed by telling our best friends "most expensive wank ever!" I had to laugh, his sense of humour makes it so not awkward. We have our app with the Doc on Wed so fingers crossed all is ok. Period due on Friday and guess what, instead of ovulating on Cycle date 25 i ovulated on cycle date 18 this month which is a 10 day leutal phase which is a first. Half pissed off that that would happen right as we are having tests done but hey ho!

How is everyone? Any news? Funnyies?

Nope, another BFN on a FR test this morning & I've been having some pretty noticeable pregnancy symptoms since Thursday (started with very strange cramps, like how it felt when I had my coil put in, I was convinced it was implantation! My sense of smell is enhanced, strange taste in mouth, bit of EWCM, light headed on and off & very very thirsty) so I'm still hoping that this test was too early and am determined to wait another week before testing again... definitely... I feel like a crazy person DTD again this morning though in case it's just ovulation... I'll get my head round he ovulation tests next month I think!

I kinda just hope that AF comes and then it'll set me straight!! Hate not knowing what CD I'm on and I am just so impatient!

Good luck with your drs appointment KEG, hopefully with your ovulation being a little earlier things will go well for you this time - Everything crossed for you!

KEG973 Most expensive wank ever!!! Be warned TMI coming. I didn't buy the book but was worried about my husband getting repetitive strain injury in his quest to please so thougt I'd buy a little buzzy helper but now have buyers remorse-looks scary!

Foreverretro I'm having the weirdest cycle ever, well almost but I've ordered Inofolic off the internet, apparently that should help pcos sufferers!KEG973 what does leutal phase do? My OPKs said no peak so far so prolly not ovulating this time round.

I'm having weird 'mini spasm' feelings in my lower belly and also very bloated. I think it's more likely digestive issues than pregnancy!

@peachesarenom I know what you mean by the mini spasm thing - I think that's what I'm having! To me it feel like when I had my coil put in - kind like someone is ever so often poking the inside of my uterus with a pointy stick. It's not too painful but it's hella weird!

I have quite bad IBS and this feels totally different to the bloating/gas I get, so I'm pretty sure it has to be hormone or pregnancy related... it's just so infuriating because it's all waiting!

peaches I've not really had any symptoms that make me think I could be but this is cycle one so I have no idea. Its been nearly 3 weeks since my bbt suggested I ovulated so if I was it should be showing on a test by now.
It's just a waiting game

@Aph413 Glad I'm not the only one on my first cycle! I'm waiting for AF before I start checking BBT and stuff, it's horrible just waiting for it and having absolutely no clue though - I hope something happens for you soon 

@peachesarenom not a clue! I had my coil out on 4th September and from what I've read most people bleed within the month... which will be on Wednesday, so I'm just hoping soon!

forever I had a withdrawal bleed 4 days after coil removal on the 31st August so I don't know what my bodies doing. That's why I chose to chart my temperature.

Thursday was 4 weeks post coil and negative test. Next Thursday will be 4 weeks post withdrawal bleed. I'm just ready to know where I'm at. Think I'll take a first response in the morning

@Aph413 I've not had any bleeding at all apart from a little bit of spotting maybe a week after coil removal - it's just so confusing! Esp when they tell you that everything will go back to normal straight away!

I hope you're back to normal soon, I've done a few tests now just to stop me wondering but I'm going to try wait a full week before I do any more.
