So, onto cycle number 2! Anyone else quite new to this game?

We started trying properly last month, and inevitably my husband was away during the key few days! Unsurprisingly, my period arrived bang on time so now we're onto cycle number 2.

I'm being very impatient about conceiving and it seems to have been forever already (I know, I'm being a crazy person!) but I think part of that is having taken pregnacare since April, even though we were still using contraception then. I guess I'm just not very good at not being in control... I've had to seriously educate my husband too - he seemed to be convinced that we could get pregnant at any time of the month, and that it would inevitably happen immediately! He didn't realise that it often takes months even for healthy couples.

peaches he's getting there! I had 12 days of high on the clear blue sticks without a peak before I have up testing! No sign of ovulation and I'm at CD25, it's either the mother of all cycles or I've not ovulated in which case I'm ready for cycle 2 now

Aph413 I think you can still ovulate late, keep DTD every other day!

peaches we're keeping at it. DH made me take a test today and he thinks there's a squinter. I think it's an evap and we're waiting for Thursday which should be my period.
He's working on other signs and thinks I ovulated on CD 16, I'm not convinced.

First month officially trying for #1. Had what I thought was implantation bleed 6 days before AF due (2 days of brown spotting, v.unusual for me) but AF now here in full flow.

I've bought clear blue opks but unsure when to test due to early bleed. Updated Ovia so think I'll test on first fertile day according to app and go from there!

I have a feeling I'm going to be obsessed, already spent a looong time on conception board this weekend.

Arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

I recently posted on another thread as I'm too impatient - we've been trying since June and my husband was exactly the same thinking it would happen just like that as well as thinking that we could get pregnant any time of the month...

So far it's all been negative and it's frustrating as everyone around me seems to be falling pregnant without even trying whilst I've been using clear blue ovulation packs and an app and yet it just ain't happening!

8dpo but don't think thus is our month don't feel any different apart from sore boobs since 2dpo x

I've started peeing on the clear blue sticks for cycle 3 today. The last two months have been a whirlwind of what I think must be imagined symptoms.

I thought cycle 2 was going to be super chill - didn’t temp, didn’t pee in a stick. Didn’t symptom check for a whole week after presumed ovulation.

8dpo hit yesterday and I’m mental.

One minute I’m convinced it hasn’t worked (nor, statistically, should it) - the next i allow myself a what if.

Argh!

I had a wee break from Mums net there as I was feeling a bit blue :( came back from our first holiday together in 5 years and my husband missed the flight home due to a delay and someone needed to collect the bags then check them back in and the first flight was epically dealyed then came home thinking "loads of people get preggers on holiday with the wine and relaxing" arrived home and started my period. We have decided to get some tests done privately. With my ovulation and period only having 5 days Inbetween them (nor enough time for an egg to implant) we want to get everything checked out so he has an, erhm, manly hot date with a cup, and i have bloods being done to check progesterone levels on the same night - thankfully not in the same building cuz that would be well weird! Then an app with a fertility doctor the following week. All up in thenair until then, i cried the whole way to work and the whole way home, its just all so unknown isnt it? I think if someone told me i would be pregnant in june next year i would totally chill but is the waiting and wondering and making sure you dont miss an opportunity that makes in so much more difficult. And the strain it puts on your relationship too.

In any case next cycle I'm gonna do everthing:
Smerm friendly lube, already forgot what its called.
Inofolic off internet which my Dr told me to buy bit I didn't because I was scared of biying it on the internet.
Whatever 'preseed' is.
Also heard of fertility blend.
Evening primrose oil.
Bean bag to limit leakage.
I'm sure I've forgotten a couple of other things too!

What month of ttc it is for u now?As i am writing this i have my legs up in the air against a wall, two pillows under my ass and my husband making me laugh (not good for spillage!!) and first time trying preseed lube (i have heard good things!) do all u ladies monitor your cervical mucus? I dont think i have any at all?

I'm due AF either tomorrow or the 5th October and I can't decide when I should test. Having to make myself sit on my hands over the whole thing however the mood swings I've had in the last day or so are leading me to think maybe AF is on her way.

APH413, do u know when u ovulated? Do you think u could wait two days? The 2ww is awful isnt it?

KEG I never got a positive opk this cycle and I used both cheap and clear blue digitals. Afer 12 days of high no peak I can only assume I may have ovulated on the 15th if at all. I only have 2 frer and I don't want to waste them if my period is due next week because obviously it's far too early.
It's the uncertainty on if it's tomorrow or not that's getting me. I might manage to hold out til the weekend if I staple my hands together

I saw on another thread that someone bought a bean bag and kept it beside the bed then after DTD thry slid onto it and kept legs above on the bed.

Also, never used lube so not sure whether to get the preseed. I've been trying since Jan but only started properly in August! Bought the inofolic though Dr says it'd good for pcos.

I think I'm on the 9th day of high CD 22 or something. So fed up. I hope I am yet to ovulate but it's such a long cycle. PCOS is a pain!

Hi APH-well done not testing today, was thinking about u. Do u still feel PMSey? How long have u been ttc? I ovulated on the 18th this month so that is better then the 6 days it usually is!!

Hey peaches! Ahhhh i see what you mean with the bean bag! I thought it was a tiddley one like u played with in PE in primary school-duhhh!!! I have had zero success with cervical mucus, do not think i have much of it. I read reviews of preseed on amazon and every site going and the amount of people who said it was the only thing they changed after months of ttc and they got pregnant, apparently slivia and other lubes can kill sperm off before they get near the cervix. Used it last night for the first time, was pretty good actually then did the sexy legs up while watchin one born every minute-what a sight!! We had sex on Friday and again last night (positive ovulation test yesterday AM) im done with DTD every two days it hust wasnt fun.

KEG this is only month 1 and I think it's just the newness of it driving me neurotic. I hope to calm down next cycle. I've been in a terrible mood all day accompanied by some cramping this evening so I think that it's going to be tomorrow. If not I'm hoping to hang on til the weekend, I've got this far.
On a side note about lube, boots has got their fertility check lube which I assume it the same as preseed except it's in individual tubes rather than decanting into syringes
