October Bus - More treats than tricks please!

I'm off the September Bus before it even leaves the station and thanks to my longer cycle I thought I'd start the October page.

BFP due October 4th

We're cycle day 10 ten now and I'm not sure if I should start using opks? What does everyone recommend?

How long is your cycle Pablo? I started testing on cycle day 9 on a 30 day cycle

I think I'm about 32 days but I'm not confident what I'm doing with opks ie how often or when I should do them

I use a clear blue digital first thing in the morning and then maybe a couple of internet cheapies. Both of those I hold my wee for 4 hours.
I'm just trying to get the hang of how long my cycle is for now. once I've worked it out I'm hoping to just use one cheap test mid afternoon

Waves to all newcomers 🤗 Hope everybody is feeling lucky and fertile this month! I'm due to ov tomorrow. Typical that DH is working the late shift this week. Means I have to try and stay awake until he gets home at 11 for some very half-arsed and business-like nookie. Sigh. The reality of ttc right there.

Loobylou, any chance of setting your morning up nicely instead of staying awake?

I tried to give OPKs another go this month. I think I'm due to ovulate tomorrow so I used cheapies for the last few days. The one on Saturday afternoon had a really teeny skinny line that was as dark as the control, the rest are paler but thicker. Do I take the skinnymalink line as positive? Or just keep going?

Oh and Pablo, I don't really get on with OPKs, but I would count 14 days back from when you're due AF and start using OPKs around 5 days before then. Your standard ovulation date would be around 14 days before AF, but that can be very different, depending on the woman.

BFP due 17th oct apparently but AF just came early for me this cycle so god knows.

How long does the pill take to get out of your system? I used to be really heavy, v painful, general deathbed awfulness. When on the pill they were pretty light and like clockwork. I stopped the pill in April and they continued to be light and at the same time until now when it feels like it's returned with a vengeance. Could it have taken a few months to get out my system?

AF started today after a tedious 49 day cycle.
No idea when BFP due yet.

Blood tests & swabs this week.
Awaiting ultrasound.

@holy, last night he fell asleep on top of me before..ahem, you know what...and this morning he was too sleepy before I had to leave for work. Major ovulation day fail! 🙄 Oh well, we got one in on Friday and again on Sunday so there's still some hope for this month!

Right I'm now in the tww. I'm actually quite glad to have a break from all the sex tbh. Not that it's a chore but Work is always so hectic in September and I've been so tired every night.

Dh is quite happy to have a bit of a break too

I think I'm ovulating in the next few days, dp goes on nights and I'm on days so we will be like ships in the night! Not sure how that's going to work!

Officially in tww now. I think I'm 2dpo as had a positive opk on sat, managed to DTD that night but couldn't manage the next day. Hopefully that was enough as I think last nights DTD would have been too late. I hate the wait! Good luck to everyone really hope we see lots of BFP's soon!

Does anyone chart? Any ideas what's happening here? I can't work out if I ovulated and my temps aren't as high as they should be or if I haven't ovulated yet? Unfortunately I didn't start opks straight away; I didn't expect it to be so quick. Also we've had a stressful week or two so not sure if that's delayed things and sent them a bit haywire...

Should have said, lots of ewcm on the green highlighted days then little or no cm since...

@Emz01 I think we're about in the same place. I had a peak on my opk on Saturday morning. Didn't manage to dtd though but did manage Friday morning and Sunday morning (and last night for good measure!) not sure but I think I'm also 2dpo today.

Af has just arrived so bfp due 21 oct. I am quite frankly outraged that first cycle of happening I did not just become pregnant no issues (tongue in cheek... mostly)!

@meow1989 I felt the same in cycle 1. My actual thought was "wtf womb?!"
Cycle 2 I was very "meh" about it all.

This time with hardcore peeing on opks and getting dh more involved and shagging a lot more I've already convinced myself that I've done enough this month so I'll probably be properly gutted when AF turns up in a couple of weeks time.

It's just not right is it? I'm like: you have one job! (Absolutely no offence meant to anyone who has been trying for a while, I know things take time and I am for the most part joking).

What do people think about spa treatments whilst ttc? I have a weekend coming up and I think fertile window will start the Monday following the Saturday I'm away (hope that makes sense) so I'm hoping you'll all say it's fine to have a drinkie and soak in the hot tub as I won't even have ovulated and I'm being ridiculous to worry 😅

Used opks last month but goong to try temping this time too.

Thanks. So (very new at this!) does EWCM mean that it's a good time to DTD? Hoping so as that's what I had this weekend and we DTD three times, but it's dried up now. I use Clue which is pretty accurate in predicting AF so hopefully it's also good for ovulation. It's only our first cycle so not sure I want to get into OPKs and temping just yet.
