October Bus - More treats than tricks please!

I'm off the September Bus before it even leaves the station and thanks to my longer cycle I thought I'd start the October page.

I have no idea! This is the thing. I came off BC nearly 3 weeks ago. So basically been DTD ever since. I have had withdrawal bleed so just playing a waiting game. I had pains in my left side last week and I think I may have ovulated. Perhaps! I did an OPK on Sunday and it was pretty dark then it's been lighter the last 2 days. I am basically trying to work out what's going on with OPKs and just how I'm feeling really. It's not ideal.

@holy - there are some useful & reassuring answers on the thread I posted :)

I'm not officially here as having two periods in September apparently! But wanted to say I've booked some acupuncture for Saturday! Eek!

Juney are you going to that place in Jesmond or somewhere else? Please let me know how it goes!
A guy at work has just told me his wife is pregnant and my sister has just had a beautiful baby boy so I'm feeling extra broody. Really hoping that this is our month!

Joining this bus as highly unlikely I'll get a BFP this month. Came off pill start of August and presuming a 28 day cycle but who knows what my body is doing

CD 27 today and tested BFN. Been having PMS feelings since last Saturday which is early for me but I'm assuming the pill is screwing things up. Also been feeling nausea since Saturday but have read this can be PMS.

So holding out for AF to arrive in the next couple of days!

The lady that I go to for massages (on the odd occasion where I get them) has suggested reflexology which would be great, if I wasn't one week into one of those footner foot peel things! I don't think it would be fair to go to her with scabby feet so I might have to save that till next time!

I keep reading conflicting things on this. Should I be using FMU with my clear blue digital ovulation tests? I've done 4 days with them following the pack instructions and had 1 low and 3 high days.
Just get the feeling I'm not doing this right

I'm fully new to all this. 31 and TTC #1. Just had my implant taken out yesterday. Dr said my cycle should start in 3-4 days and to start taking folic acid right away. Also vitamin D when the nights start drawing in. Quite nervous, but excited!

@Aph413 I'm no expert but I read you're not meant to use FMU on opks because it can pick up results from the day before.
I test about lunch time to start with and once I start getting faint lines I test at lunch and then when I get home at about 6pm to see if I can catch the surge (this is why I use internet cheapies not clear blue!)

I chose clear blue for this round to try get the hand of it. I can only think to keep following the same routine with them and see if I get a peak. Still only cycle 1 so no idea what I'm doing

AF just appeared 3 days late after driving me insane pay few days!

Welcome all.
I can't help with OPKs as I only tried them last month and couldn't get the hang of them at all.
Week 1 of almost exclusively warm/hot food and drink, no sweets and plenty of liquid. I also spent Monday running around like a blue arsed fly, went to a pilates class on Wednesday and will be doing a 5k tomorrow, so upping my exercise levels fairly significantly too.
I'm also booked in for some reflexology next week. FX any of this actually works!
I've another week before I hit the fertile period so a bit more time to work on it.

I've completely cut out sugary drinks from my diet now we're ttc. In theory this weekend is my fertile window so fingers crossed, my sister is a trained massage therapist and she did study reflexology. Might have to go see if she wants to practise on me.

Last time I conceived straight way and had no clue about ovulation. I've realised how lucky I was last time so trying to keep my hopes lower now.

I know this is a bit odd but I always thought I would have a baby in May. Sounds strange I know. But now august Is out that won't happen. I'm trying to let fantasy land go and stick with reality.
