I'm off the September Bus before it even leaves the station and thanks to my longer cycle I thought I'd start the October page.

Morning all!! Well after 7 weeks of waiting, AF has finally arrived!! I can finally attempt to start counting what I'm doing!!!

81Josie · 05/10/2017 09:48

Hi Sukiella I'm completely confused with my CBAM too. Second month using it. First month I had a high on day 8 peak 9-10 one high then back to low. AF arrived on time, but was light so I tested just in case. BFN of course!

This month I had my first high on day 12 and I'm now on day 16. All have been high but no peak. I did notice on day 13 a very faint second line so expected a peak the next day but it didn't happen. Now 3 days after I'm thinking that either ovulation didn't happen, or that it was a low surge and missed by the monitor. We are DTD every second day while it's high just in case.

I know I'm not (quite) out yet, and perhaps this cycle is different and it will come late but I kind of feel like it's just going to ask me for 20 sticks (£35 down the pan!) then stop.

I would normally get AF around the 17/18th so will wait and see

Sending baby dust to you all

Merrz · 05/10/2017 11:31

Josie and Sukiella the CBFM is also confusing me. I'm now on to my 5th Cycle using it. Last 2 cycles have just given High readings with no peaks, such a waste of £, just asking for 20 sticks. I'm thinking about going to the Dr if it does the same this cycle as that would be 3 cycles it says i haven't ovulated but just not sure i trust it 100%

Fingerscrossedandfairydust · 05/10/2017 12:01

I have had a series of problems with the clear blue monitor and think I am
Going to stop using it. I have used for 3 cycles and on the first got three highs before my peak, so far so good. But Cycle 2 went straight to peak. This month I started testing early and it went straight to peak on cd 8, only this time I was using OPKs and charting both of which indicated I was not yet fertile. So I carried on testing and after going back to low it went straight to peak on cd 12. But still negative opk. I got a positive opk on cd13 and temping confirmed ovulation was on cd14. If I had followed the digital monitor I would have thought I ovulated the previous day. So I actually think it does more harm than help! I wonder if it has meant that much I've dtd too early and hurt my chances of a bfp. Would be interested to hear what others think!

BeautifulLiar · 05/10/2017 12:33

Not feeling very pregnant right now because I haven't gone off my morning cup of tea and I always do when I'm up the duff! Time will tell I suppose...

Merrz · 05/10/2017 13:13

Fingerscrossed that's interesting to know, think i will use OPKS this cycle as well and see if they tie in with CBFM or not.

Sukiella · 05/10/2017 16:00

Girls, that's interesting about the CBFM, I'm not using that at the moment, just the advanced digital ovulation tests. I think will use the opks for a few cycles anyway, see how it goes!

Aridia · 05/10/2017 17:31

I'm feeling quite crampy today, and my legs are achy. So I'm not sure if AF is on her way :( I think I'm due Sunday but Flo says monday. Either way, I'm not feeling all that hopeful right now. And there was me thinking this would be our month :(

Aridia · 05/10/2017 19:12

So I caved and did a test. BFN of course :( I'm really struggling this month. Feeling a bit hopeless. Any tips for getting through this?

lindypops33 · 05/10/2017 22:17

Ok, so what do you think? Today is first day of AF since coming of BC 7 weeks ago. Obviously I have no idea how long my cycle is so not sure when I'm going to be most fertile and ovulate. I'm not great using OPK's. So I'm thinking just DTD as often as possible for a whole month?

Flatwhite31 · 06/10/2017 07:25

Sounds like a good idea @lindypops33. I didn't use opks to begin with, as I didn't know what they were! I had my period just over 4 weeks after coming off the pill. I conceived on cycle 4 (unfortunately it ended in MMC at 12 weeks).

81Josie · 06/10/2017 08:28

Lindypops I guess the more you can the better. I'm sorry to hear of you MC flatwhite

So do you think I have missed the bus here?

CBADM still saying high (day 6 of high) but no sign of a second line. I did get a faint line earlier in the week but now it's not there at all and I suspect that either I haven't ovulated, or the LH surge was low and it didn't show as peak.

We will continue to DTD every second day just in case until AF arrives but feeling like it isn't going to happen this month. Glad to be going away next week so I won't be symptom spotting

Think I'm going to try temperature checking next month as well as the CBADM. Can anyone recommend a good thermometer?

NimbleKnitter · 06/10/2017 08:45

@81Josie if you’ve been having sex this whole time, you won’t have missed the bus.

The bus might not let you on, but that’s because the bus is a bell-end.

You’ve done all you can x

Merrz · 06/10/2017 09:04

@Aridia it's difficult isn't it, you might still be in with a chance if AF hasn't showed up yet. If the bitch has try to think of it as new cycle, new change and try to focus on something different to do/try this time, i know that's easier said than done but thinking like that helped me move on from feeling so down when my last AF showed up.

@Josie I can definitely see a 2nd line on the 9th test from the bottom? Do you test 1st thing in the morning? I do because sure the CBAFM said to but i have read somewhere LH surge starts mid-late morning?! I'm thinking of testing in the afternoon next cycle, see if that picks up LH better

81Josie · 06/10/2017 09:18

Yes, first thing as that's what the instructions say.

I'm glad that you can see that line, as that was Monday morning and we DTD Monday night so who knows. Interesting idea to test later, I'm just worried that I drink too much water (have to have 2 litres a day or I get a headache) so I pee a lot! Thought about getting some cheap OKPs and testing twice but trying not to get too obsessed- even though I'm getting that way and this is only cycle 3!!

Currently googling BBT thermometers 😏

BlueeSpottyTiger · 06/10/2017 09:24

Josie i agree with Nimbler if you dtd every other day you would not have possibly missed the bus 😁 xx

I'm 8 or 9dpo i usually go with the shorter time. I've had bfps at 9dpo in the past with my dd and my most recent mc so i know its possible and I've got a faint line on a frer today! The only reason i did a frer is because i could see something on a ic. Picture isn't the best.
This is my immediate cycle after mc which was a mmc at 12+5 on the 8th/Sep. I had a scan 8days after it occured and confirmed everything had passed and i had a negative pregnancy test 9 days after. So if it is positive it's definatley a new pregnancy. Scary but exciting!

81Josie · 06/10/2017 09:39

That's wonderful news bluespottytiger- I'm sorry to hear of your MC. Thanks for the kind words both you and nimble.

We have only been DTD every second day while on high, though I have told the DH that next month we are DTD every other day that AF isn't here. He says he is exhausted just thinking about it. I told him that if we are lucky enough to have a child he will be dreaming of these days 😂

Merrz · 06/10/2017 10:14

@Josie I'd say you're still in with a good chance. I did think that too, i drink a lot through the day so might be diluted a bit. I'm about to start FW so think i might try some cheapie opks and test with them later in the day, will let you know how i get on.
BBT thermometer is tempting me too, i would just feel a bit better if i was certain i was actually ovulating. This is cycle 4 of actively trying for me so don't want to try everything just yet but it's hard not too.

81Josie · 06/10/2017 10:17

Merz looks like we are in a similar space, this is cycle 3 for me, about to go into cycle 4. I know logically that is no time at all, but I'm already worried something is wrong. Hope cycle 4 is lucky for you

BlueeSpottyTiger · 06/10/2017 10:28

This is the picture. Like i said I'm only about 8/9dpo. Extremely faint Line appeared within a min and is still there. And guessing af is due wednesday based on lp, But unsure because of the mc.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 06/10/2017 10:33

Another picture of it.. sorry for bombarding.

October Bus - More treats than tricks please!
Sukiella · 06/10/2017 11:53

@Josie and @bluespottytiger, still in with a chance for sure, if faint lines appearing now that is a very good sign. On my first I tested very early, and got bfn, then at around 11dpo got an extremely faint line, then finally got bfp at 16dpo. Am going to try and resist the urge to test this time, although it's extremely hard!!

@Aridia, I agree with Merrz, still possible even after bfn. This TWW business can be such a rollercoaster. Yday morning I was convinced I had nausea when I woke up, but that's impossible, I was only around 2-3 dpo!

NimbleKnitter · 06/10/2017 12:06

@81Josie the reason the CB monitor tests first morning urine is for the dual hormone testing - it picks up the estrogen, which is what gives you your high days (and what causes fertile cervical fluid)

It may not catch the peak each time, but as long as you have sex as often as possible during the high, you should be fine

Sukiella · 06/10/2017 12:23

@NimbleKnitter, yes - that's right - I've been looking into the CB monitor and opks a bit more, also it's possible that you won't catch your high days, but will go straight to peak - this happens when the rise in estrogen and the LH surge happen simultaneously.

81Josie · 06/10/2017 12:32

Ah thanks both
