Coming off Cerazette to TTC

Hi,

I took my last pill on Thursday 17th August and since coming off I've had loads of pregnancy symptoms. Feeling tired, bloated, feeling sick, backache, stomach cramps, mood swings, sensitive to smells etc.

Whenever I've missed a pill before I've had a bleed straight away, even when I was ill on holiday I had a bleed (apparently due to pill not being absorbed properly). So far I've not had any bleeding at all since properly coming off the pill. Surely it's way too early to have pregnancy symptoms!

Hi, hope you don’t mind me jumping in on this one. I was on Cerelle for about 2 years (I’m 32 ttc #2) I stopped the pill in sept and my bleed came 28 days later, then my period 26 days later so seems I may be going back to my regular periods, but I have no CM (cervical mucus) so I’m worried I may not be ovulating. Has anyone else found this too? Or conceived with no CM?

My cm was pretty random and even this months after 3 months off the pill it was weird! I had EWCM last Thursday and positive OPK on the Saturday and barely had any CM then.. I’d suggest doing OPKs 😊 I did them from CD7 x

Thanks, good you had some though. I basically have none. I’m really hoping I am ovulating, just hard to know when. The Flo app says i’ll Ovulate on Sunday so going to dtd tonight and Sunday, although poor other half has man flu so might have to give him a double espresso beforehand :)

I think they recommend DTD every 2 days so maybe try to do till the end of next week, then next month start using OPKs 😀 what cycle day are you on?

I’m on cycle day 12. I actually feel very bloated and a bit heavy in my uterus so wondering if I may have already ovulated (fingers crossed a BFP will be coming my way).

The fact you're showing you're ovulating is a great sign! I didn't see that on my ovulation tests for 11 months after coming off the pill! The month it showed, I conceived, and my gorgeous son is 3 months old now good luck ladies! It's horrible when that dreaded period comes when you're trying.

I ovulated on CD17 which wa skate and going to do a hpt test on Monday (9dpo) which is 3 days before AF is due. For some reason I’m not feeling hopeful even though we BD’d at the right times and I’ve had symptoms!

fingers crossed you! I’ve just done an ovulation test (these ones say test between 10am-8pm with 4 hours worth of wee) but it’s negative. Really was hoping it would be positive as I thought maybe I’d ovulate Sunday (CD 14), but no. Maybe I’ll ovulate late or just not at all this month :(

My test went from really negative one evening to very very positive the next day so keep testing 😊

Day 33 of coming off Cerelle and still no sign of AF.
Took a test on Saturday morning and a BFN.
So so impatient.

It took me so long to make the decision to come off the pill (waiting for financial circumstances to be right) and now we're ready it's like... watching paint dry!

I was literally exactly the same as you! I hated waiting. I’ve now had 2 periods since coming off and I’m due again this Thursday. I did a test this morning and thought I could see a line but I think I’m imagining it... your period will come soon for you hang in there 😊😊

Fingers crossed for you AmyLeigh, have you been having any symptoms? I’m 3dpo but not sure if I’m just imaging slight symptoms (terrible back ache, restless sleeping, dreaming more, crampy, heartburn which I never get, stuffy nose). Anyone else on the 2week wait?

I think I’ve had every symptom going lol!! I have had cramps from ovulation and still getting them now. Weird cm, backache, dizziness, nausea, stuffy nose, headaches, frequent urination... (could be in my head as I really want to be pregnant). I will soon find out if AF wants to turn up as she is due tomorrow! I feel like she is coming though :(

Amyleigh i had a little play with your test pic, inverted the colours and i can see something... a tiny hint...Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me...? Fx fx fx for you

Can you afford to try a first response one? I find they are really good this early on..

That’s great! How do you mean by weird CM, as in the amount, colour etc? I really felt I was coming on with my first pregnancy but tested mid morning of my AF day when it didn’t arrive and got a positive so hopefully you’ll get your BFP. Let us know.

HoneyCake - thanks! I thought I could see something faint but thought I was losing the plot! I have a first response but I’ll wait to do that one until Fri if AF doesn’t turn up :)

Kit - my cm has been creamy/watery and quite a lot of it (I keep thinking AF has arrived and when I go to the loo nothing is there).. yesterday I had a load of yellow cm when I wiped?! I’ve not got an infection either so not that.. I’m going to retest tomorrow morning with a cheap test. I’m still cramping so it does feel like af is coming but who knows!! :)

I’ve had a little creamy/watery CM too, I can feel it so am going to loo to wipe, did you have this in the early dpo? I also had jelly like CM last week, it was very like my mucus plug when I was Preggo the first time.

From what I have noted it has been creamy right from ovulation!

I keep wondering what the yellow cm I had was! I googled it (stupidly) and a lot of people said they had it before they found out they were pregnant, then a few said that they got it before af! Hmm!!
