A couple of days ago, on CD24 I got brown spotting which of course got me excited, thinking about that fabled implantation bleed that I'd never even heard of until I started coming on here a year ago.

CD25 and it was pink spotting.
Then this morning...full blown AF!!

So angry, my cycles are usually 28-30 days and I only spot the day before.
Last month was cycle was 31 days so I don't know why it's 25 this month?!

Also I've started temping again over the last week

So I've been temping for the last 7 days or so, and got a temperature drop yesterday which I wasn't expecting...this in a way helped me "accept" that AF was arriving, even though I was super annoyed.

I'm confused now.
Is it your luteal phase that generally stays the same length (give or take a day) each month?

This means I must have ovulated super early this cycle e.g. CD11 or something?

I've always seemed to get positive OPKs/CB opks around CD14/15/16 and we last conceived after having sex once on CD14 (this was March last year!)

elk I'm also 5dpo and cd19. So I'm with you going potty. Although now feel totally legit in wanting to test on cd22 like lime!!!

I agree grumpy 2ww wait is worse in many ways than af.

Gah I was looking forward to using the one FRER in the bathroom cupboard- I thought I'd be testing around CD28 which is this Friday.

My cycles have been at least 28 days over the last few months and I have got my hopes up every single time.

Not quite sure what to do next- I've now got "Taking charge of your fertility" which I got off Amazon. I've now started temping again after doing it between September and November last year before getting fed up.

From what I've read of the fertility book- the whole temping thing really does make sense and you get a real sign that ovulation has indeed actually happened. As opposed to endless OPKs which can show an ovulation surge, but you may not even ovulate!

Anyhow, just got an Amazon order of OPKs & pregnancy tests.
Just need to keep going with it all.
Depressing.

And hoping I'll be able to have a baby before I hit 40 next summer...I was 37 the last time I was pregnant, that was last spring!

Maybe I'll go wild and buy some more ubiquinol?!

turquiose I'm no expert and don't temp. I only rely on opk. However according to my basic charts on FF it seems my lp is 14 days. But I seem to normally ov on day 13 but as late as 16 as well.

Turquoise, your cycles sound like mine. I have a 25 day cycle and I either ovulate on day 11 or 16 and have a short luteal phase. I've not figured out which yet. Temping is great if you can get a good consistent line.

Just did an ic and it's very visible. That's with evening wee. Yikes! I'm so so so scared of twins again.

Dh is currently binge eating crisps and feeling very anxious. I feel a teeny bit crampy. And just incredibly scared.

Turquoise yes luteal phase should stay the same. But you can have a 1-2 day temperature drop during luteal but before AF. Sometimes it's a sign of implantation, especially if it happens somewhere around 7-10dpo, so don't lose hope yet!

IME I usually get AF before I get the temp drop for AF.

I always used to have a 25 day cycle and seemed to ovulate around day 11-13. Recently it seems to have got a bit longer - ov around 13 and then 27 or 28 days. Not sure why. I feel pregnant with ds on a cycle where i think I ovulated around day 12. I think my mc was day 13. I did have a short one last month that was day 9 .

Ive found tempimg, checking cm abd opks have helpes me see my 'pattern'. I get cm after I ovulate too apparently.

lime I'm so pleased for you! I'm with you on feeling scared though. No major symptoms yet and it worries me. Daren't even glimpse at the pg boards.

Bit late to the party but congratulations, Lime! That's absolutely great news!

I'm beginning to think opks aren't for me. Have been really stressed this month with all the stupid flashing smiley faces but no peak and then early AF. TBF it's probably more work related than anything else but I'm sure none of it helps. I was going to start temping but might just revert to dtd every other day - if I can work up the energy (isn't it exhausting all this ttc?!) X

@BertieBotts last cycle I was temping and it didn't drop before AF, not even the day of AF. After that I stopped as I was too annoyed! Then this cycle I thought what's the point of temping as if that happens I'm none the wiser anyway and I'll just get my hopes up! I'm not worried about using it for confirming ovulation as I'm pretty sure i don't have issues there.

Interestingly though, I failed to get a Peak on cb or a positive OPK at all the first cycle post pill and the first cycle post mc. So maybe I didn't ovulate those months. The cycle I conceived I ovulated on CD15, as I have this cycle. Other months it's been cd18/19. But I've finally figured out my LP is definitely 13 days so that's good! At least I know when af is due

I've been off googling short luteal phase, never heard of it before.

I'm just feeling confused as my cycle has never been as short as 25 days before- well, since July last year at least.

Before then, I was either on the combined pill (started aged 19) or pregnant so I've truly never known what my "real" periods & cycles are like.

If it's not too painfully dull, here are my recorded cycle days since last September.

Started TTC since last July but thought it would happen quickly so didn't bother looking at my cycles too closely until a few months in.

Plus I had loads of irregular bleeding post-MMC

Line or my imagination? 12dpo. Period due today. Internet cheapy. Thought had spotting yesterday, but was just a little bit of colour to a creamy CM not my normal spotting.
