Yum - I promise not to be too graphic about the preseed But I hope you are right that I don't need to use it. Won't be testing til a week late though

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 21:53

OK - it is real hocus pocus - but you know me - research anything!
Basically it refers to a theory you are most fertile when the moon is in the same stage as the day you were born there are loads of stages but 4 main ones - New moon, waxing moon, full moon and waning moon) It seems that there are 2 theories:
One is that you have another/ second possible fertile time during the month when the moon is in the right phase regardless of ov time. (?)
The other is that if your moon phase syncs up with OV then you are doubly fertile. The moon phases run in exact 28 day cycles - so if your cycle is perfect 28 days it is possible every month sort of IYSWIM

To find out te phase on your bday go here and select Phases of the Moon then Dates of Primary Phases of the Moon and pop in your year to see the daye range that includes your bday.
The you can go here and see what the moon is up to for the next few months.

But as I said I went back through all my cycles and I was perfectly synced last year and it didnt help then!! but it is interesting?!

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 21:57

LOL yum03 - I know I seem to have posting diarrhoea tonight

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:03

Maybe you weren't in the right place mentally last year - you need to look to the future moon thingies... Ooooh I am really interested, must go see.

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:05

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:09

I don't get it. sob.

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 22:11

Sorry Ready - on the first site click Data services first.

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:12

I have typed in my year, got a list of numbers, and now I am lost sob.

fettleandminifettle · 28/03/2007 22:13

Ok girls pretty spooky - Moon entered full moon phase later on the day I was born - this pg was conceived just as moon was entering full moon phase!!! [spooky emoticon]!!!

Don't have a chance to check my other 3 pg, but worth giving it a go, Ready!!

xxx

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 22:13

Then click on phase of the moon Dates of primary phases of the moon - then at the top put in your year and click get data.

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:14

Oh bloody hell. How stoopid am I that I can't work this out. at myself.

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:15

Yep... got the data, just haven't a scooby as to how to interpret it. D for Dunce.

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 22:17

Ok - so look to find the nearest date before your birthday and see which column it is in - new, first quarter (waxing), full, last quarter (waning) and then go to the other site and check out where the moon is for the next few months. Does that help - make sense (it took me hours last night - dont worry!!)

fettleandminifettle · 28/03/2007 22:18

Don't think it matched for DD, but can't actually remember when conceived her, but definitely matched up for this pg!! Are you a bit of a white witch seaside??

Night-night

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 22:18

Wow - fettle - that is weird!! (twilight zone music!!) Maybe it isnt hocus pocus!!

yum03creameggs · 28/03/2007 22:21

OK my brain is aching just reading about what you are supposed to do with this moon thingy, I think I should just go to bed for a sleep and see if my brain wakes up in the morning... night night all.

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 22:21

nighty night fettle
(LOL at white witch - maybe I could try a career change )

Ready - any joy? - which phase were you born under - if you want to divulge your bday (it has just passed hasnt it?) I could look for you

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:22

ok, so the nearest date before my birthdate was the 4th feb, and it was in the first quarter, waxing....

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 22:23

Night yum03 (sounds like the Waltons in here!)

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:23

I was born 10feb in the year 79 (ssssh)

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:24

Night sleepy heads!! I can't go til I have worked this thing out!! Now what S??

seaside72 · 28/03/2007 22:29

OK - so waxing moon/first quarter was around 25 March 2007- just gone and you oved just before that I think - so not bad timing I would say?

Actually if you just use the first website and look at the dates for 2007 you can see it also - but the other website is prettier and you can actualy see the phases (black moon is new moon) And I realised last night that I have the moon phases in my diary also which was quite helpful!

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:31

Ok... I am really showing myself up here, but how do I see from the pretty charts where I should be looking??
And I ov'd on the 19th? Is that close enough?
Thanks for this seaside - I bet you wish you hadn't mentioned it now

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 28/03/2007 22:34

I love that it is spot on for fettle - How exciting
