@MouseLove yes to the openess. A few of my colleagues were aware of my previous mc, and some knew about this pregnancy, due to the full-on nature of the job. I know some people knew 'unofficially' too, after all not many people can resist a bit of workplace gossip so I've actually asked my manager to let colleagues know. I actually think it'll be easier than trying to bottle it all up.

Thankfully I haven't been on the receiving end of thoughtless comments too badly... apart from someone I'd known for almost a decade telling me I 'didn't have a baby to lose; just a collection of cells'... who I've dropped pretty quickly & not looked back. I'd like to think I'd do a mumsnet classic answer but I wouldn't be brave enough!

I'm hoping Fresas bfp will be a huge roll for everyone Flowers

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/07/2017 22:22

Me too yellow

Come on those babies! Smile

fresas, did you have a proper inkling?

I'll never trust a symptom again. Been wrong so many times! And I've had slightly different ones each time. Embracing my body and what it's trying to tell me has been very confusing....

FresasAndFrambuesas · 10/07/2017 22:24

Thanks guys, I've felt every emotion going today I think. I feel cheated of the excitement that others feel, I can't anticipate a baby out of this at the moment, because of the history.

Amy it's a big milestone going to school. I'm with you on the age gap, nor matter what happens the age gap I hag imagined has gone

MouseLove · 10/07/2017 22:27

It sounds like you're taking the right approach yellow. It's nothing to be ashamed of or hide. The more we talk about pregnancy loss the more people will understand about it. You're very brave. X

I had some nasty things said to me when we let a few friends know we had suffered a mmc, and ignored by another friend as though nothing had happened. People can be weird.

FresasAndFrambuesas · 11/07/2017 06:57

Oh goodness I only just read that back! That'll teach me to post without previewing Blush Amy it was supposed to saggy tasty I understand about the age gap, no matter what happens from here, that age gap that I imagined in my head has already gone (my dd would also be starting school in September in the UK, as it is she started already)

yellow I missed your post before, I think that approach is reasonable. Last pregnancy we told parents and a few friends early as we knew we might want the support after the previous mmc where only parents knew, but I have subsequently told anyone who asked if I was ok, or if we wanted another etc, about the ectopic. I feel like I would have coped better with the mmc if I had known another person who it had happened to before (irl), so I now just talk about it in the hope that if any of those people were to lose a baby in future at least maybe they won't feel quite so alone

BertieBotts · 11/07/2017 07:56

Saggy tasty :o damn you autocorrect!

AmyL88 · 11/07/2017 09:18

@FresasAndFrambuesas haha don't worry I knew what you had meant...Love autocorrect!!

I agree with MC needing to be discussed more. I opened up to a friend recently about my MMC and our struggle with conceiving and it turned out she had 2 MC's before falling pregnant with her oldest. It was nice being able to talk to someone who had gone through the same. I was surprised with the statistics i have to say.

Any of you ladies taken clomid before? I am on day 3 now and my god i am emotional. I cried again this morning and my DS just looked at me like..errr what are you doing?! I was ordering his pre school class photograph...!!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/07/2017 09:29

Anyone got experience with temping - should I be hopeful? Feeling very down today as cervix is lower and cm has dried up.

We're ovulating again, so let's jump our men. It's TTC after miscarriage thread 11
AnneLovesGilbert · 11/07/2017 10:55

Not a clue grumpy as this is my first cycle doing it but we have some experts around these parts so hopefully someone will help.

I was 100% sure I ovd last Tuesday as had ewcm and my usual stabbing pain and FF confirmed it. Until today, when it's now telling me I ovd on Saturday?! Not backed up by my cm symptoms at all. Do I trust temping over everything else? Have I actually been ovulating later than I thought and my luteal phase has been shorter than I think?

Sorry you're so emotional Amy I think it's definitely a thing with clomid, though I don't have any personal experience taking it. It's got to be a massive shot of hormones and that can easily send you a bit wonky. Go easy on yourself x

Flashinthepan · 11/07/2017 11:37

Grumpy I'm no expert and I've not used the app you're using but is 36.5 your coverline temp?

Flashinthepan · 11/07/2017 11:42

Also congrats Fresas!

Flashinthepan · 11/07/2017 11:44

Anne re temping, my understanding is that some people have a slower temp rise/slightly slower bodily response to progesterone, so it's important to take all your symptoms together. I get a temp dip the day I ovulate, but not everyone gets that. Having said that, if possible it might be worth DTD a couple of days after when you normally ovulate to line up more with your temp readings, just in case.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/07/2017 11:47

I don't know, Ovia just made up that line!

AnneLovesGilbert · 11/07/2017 12:12

Thank you flash, that's useful. Feel like I'm flying blind.... And you're right, just keeping shagging and if it's going to happen it's going to happen!

Flashinthepan · 11/07/2017 12:22

If it is your coverline, you need to have 3 days of sustained temps above that line to confirm ovulation, which so far there isn't. But, I'm not sure how good the algorithm for temps is on Ovia so it might have got your coverline wrong.

If you plan to keep temping, I would recommend downloading Fertility Friend, it looks old and clunky but the chart feature is very good and makes it much easier to read.

AnneLovesGilbert · 11/07/2017 12:24

Grumpy, I've been using FF but just stuck my temps in Ovia and I have a line at 36.5 as well, so unless we're very alike seems more likely it's a default line not a personal average/coverline.

Based on temps, Ovia has be ovulating on Friday.

Lime19 · 11/07/2017 12:34

Congrats on the bfp! Some good news at last.

I'm STILL waiting for my first period since the operation. I have no feeling that it's coming. I don't feel any of my usual pre af symptoms. Im getting really worried about it and it's starting to take over my life. It's nearly 7 weeks now. What if it doesn't come back? Maybe I have ashermans? Where your womb gets scarred shut following an erpc. I'm really struggling with it all today. I'm so fed up.

Oh and my other fear is this. So I was expecting twins and they both died. No one knows why but let's say it was a genetic thing. So the fact I released two eggs is a worry in itself. Maybe luck or maybe my ovaries are getting tired and old. So they both had genetic issues? That's awfully unlucky right?

What if the eggs that are left are all crap? They all have genetic issues.

I have a perfect son already, maybe I should stop here. Maybe he was just luck.

I'm sure it's just fear talking here. I do want to give him a sibling but I'm just so scared it's not going to happen. Or something will go wrong again.

yellow that's a lovely thing to do - the candle is a sweet memory. Hope you're ok and you got the cream cake, you totally deserve it.

fresas so great! we really needed good news too. Hope the line gets stronger for you tomorrow!

I'm on cd22 at the moment, i was away at the weekend and so couldn't pee on an ic. I haven't had a strong positive at all this cycle, but i guess i could have missed it as i didn't test fri, sat or sunday.... According to Ovia my period is due next friday. Although that makes me a longer cycle when i used to be more a 28-30 day girl. To be honest I'd be happy to see my period earlier as at least I feel I'd be more like normal. Anyway who knows if I even ovulated this month. at least we managed to dtd cd12 and 17 so fingers crossed I'm in with a small chance. Sorry for the ramble everyone!

NoCatsHere · 11/07/2017 13:09

lime I'm so sorry you are feeling so shit. I know 7 weeks feels like a really long time but does your EPU feel worried at all? Is it possible you're pregnant? Please maybe stop googling stuff, I'm sure you have had bad luck and no way have you any of those things. Squeeze that gorgeous boy of yours tight and I'm sure you will be able to give him a sibling.

yellowfrontdoor · 11/07/2017 13:37

Lime when I hadn't had a period after almost 8 weeks, it was because I was pregnant again, no symptoms whatsoever.
It's hard because I don't want to get your hopes up & if you're anything like me you'll get poas crazy.
Just floating a theory. Flowers

Lime19 · 11/07/2017 14:06

Deffo not pregnant. Ive not had sex since March!

Hello,

So sorry I've been off thread. I needed some time out after my chemical.

I'm glad we have a bfp! (Sorry if I've missed more!) I do hope all are well.

Lime, I would perhaps question it, or phone mc association.

Can I ask - do you get a lh surge near af? I have an almost positive opk at 9dpo. I'd very much doubt we are pregnant. But we weren't hugely careful. However we decided to have a month off. I have sore breasts and keep feeling dizzy, but can attribute all to other things! I hope it's not af as then I'll have a v short luteal phase.

Smurf123 · 11/07/2017 17:15

What does a positive ovulation test look like? This was after 2 mins it said read between 3-8 mins.. Only a cheap sainsbury test
