Get me a straitjacket...I can't stop testing my pee because I've lost my mind.

In a nutshell;
-Been with hubby now 10years, married for 2
-Decided to start trying for a baby
-Never been on the pill, all hail the wonders of condoms
-I ovulated on the 4th June and baby danced on both 4th and 5th
-Im taking STUPID tests every single day (cheapo amazon and SD)
-all were negative but of course I'm testing TOO EARLY
-and breathe...

I need some direction ladies. Why am I feeling so intensely crazy? I can't even wait another 5 days till period is due. Okay so I feel some weird symptoms, like a period pain type of niggling pain every night, a silly tonne of flatulence and hysteria. I just can't stop testing.

I even had a very vivid and incredibly real dream this morning that 2 lines appeared. So I tested but still a BFN.

How can I stop myself from testing every day? Has anyone else been a mad woman and done this?

Sorry pinkemi I got to day 27 flashing in my first cycle (to be fair was 45 days long) feeling your pain x

@cookie1831... 27 DAYS!! how on earth did you keep testing for that long?? I would have gone bat shite crazy by then. I'm glad I gave up at day 12.. to be honest I couldnt afford to do anymore and was getting fed up with that blasted flashing face!!

So I seem to have convinced myself that I am out this month. Getting all the same symptoms as I did last month for round about this time.. DH and I DTD last night JUST BECAUSE! And it felt so much nicer... more relaxed instead of just doing it because "i might be ovulating!"

whilst I am pretty bummed that its another wasted month.. I guess there is still that glimmer of hope until AF turns up. I guess im just trying to stop stressing over it. :)

I am now half way through my 2 week wait. (AF is due on Monday.) and so far.. I haven't had too many urges to test. (yet!) Lets hope it can continue!

@ThegrumpySquirrel forgot to ask.. where did you get your thermometer for temping from? if we aren't successful this round then I might start that too..

Hey all I am back.
Been that dull dull wait post AF but not yet fertile. App says 6 days till ov, will probably start testing tomorrow cos I just need my poas fix.

Dtd yesterday but I think 7 days might be a bit of a too long a wait for the little fellas.

Oh also I went to the dr on Thursday and got anti biotics for the uti I wasnt sure I had but perfectly explains all the 'pregnancy symptoms' I had cycle.
She also reassured me that I could keep taking my SSRI with minimal risk which was great to hear.

@Pinkemi mine is a £16 one from Amazon with a memory function. But you can get them a lot cheaper.

So tempted to test today argh I need to sit on my hands. 5dpo...

Oh pinkemi I know it was hell cost me a fortune but I am so stubborn I wanted to see a static one just to show that annoying little flashy git that I could ovulate but it didn't happen (yes I am crazy I know)
I feel I deserve a medal though I didn't test today go me

Even as I was doing it I was thinking this is such a waste.
I just found myself a bit bored and was reading this thread and the devil on my shoulder as all 'why not?'

Really this is a terrible thread for people who want to pee on less sticks. We just encourage each ither to buy cheap sticks and it's like 'welllll if everyobe else is peeing...'

I wanna test I wanna test

I have suddenly lost the urge to test! I think that Ive decided in my head that I'm definitely not preg which has made it suddenly much easier to resist.

@whyhastherumgone I have been the same for the past few days. Convinced that this isn't my month so why bother. Except I woke up this morning and for a moment thought.. "maybe I should?" I didn't because my pee finished before I could get the stick out.

I can't seem to shift this damn cold! Keep waking up in the morning with the worst sore throat in the world. It slowly gets better throughout the day but then come morning Im back to square one. Don't want to risk taking anything "just in case" but it is beginning to drive me nuts.

I have the same thing, keep waking up with the worst blocked up nose and head cold feeling. I think it's this heat, it makes the house so stuffy!

@whyhastherumgone hmm good point. I hadn't thought about the heat effecting it. Would make sense.. I think i was hoping it was a pregnancy symptom! hahaha

Hahaha @Pinkemi, it still could be! Sorry didn't mean to be a downer. When is your AF due again? Been talking to a few different posters across a few That's the -frustration- wonder of pregnancy symptoms!

I don't know what's made me just lose the urge to test - I just woke up and it didn't occur to me and then when I realised I'd already been to the loo I just sort of thought meh. I'm sure, closer to AF due date, the obsession will return

@whyhastherumgone AF is due on SUNDAY! :) So.. technically... a FRER test would get a reading.. (now i am encouraging myself to take a test! haha)

So.. after all of me going "I don't wanna test" bla bla bla.. I just tested.. and not surprisingly.. another BFN. :-( why do i do it to myself??

@Pinkemi we are one and the same - AF is due on Sunday too. If I remain pretty meh about testing, I will probably POAS Friday as it's going to be an alcohol heavy weekend, so should probably be on the safe side although part of me wants to just go away and enjoy it without knowing yet which sounds terrible!

oh we cross posted! :( @Pinkemi I don't think you should rule yourself out, it's still so so early you wouldn't necessarily get a reading even with a FRER. Try again tomorrow with FMU as testing in the afternoon is going to affect it too
