Hi,

This is all very new to me so would like to make some TTC buddies :)

Let me tell you a little about myself:
Been with my SO for 2 years now and we're getting married in 31 days! I'm 26 (nearly 27) and my hubby2b is 35. We bought a house last year and feel like now is a good time to start a family!

This is my first cycle and I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up as seen that it's harder than it looks.

Any advice would be appreciated :) xxx

Done another test this morning and it was negative. Another 6 days until I can officially test. Think I could be out this month. Which means we won't be trying again until end of July when hubby comes back from work. He works away for four weeks at a time. Anyone else tested around about this time and had a positive? Xx

MissyEm · 08/06/2017 08:38

I couldn't wait either! Did one yesterday BPN, now feel deflated and wish I waited for the end of the TWW (tomorrow) or AF to turn up or not next week. Confused

MummyGofboys · 08/06/2017 09:18

@MissyEm it's so annoying isn't it. I'm just going to wait now to see if AF turns up next week. Still having cramps and tired but it could be nothing and my silly body trying to deceive me 😩😩 xx

McTufty · 08/06/2017 09:42

mummyg don't lose heart, 6 days is super early so you could still get that BFP! It could be nothing, it it could be a little baby, fingers crossed!

missyem don't worry for not waiting, the temptation is overwhelming. Hopefully you get a different result in a few days!

What pregnancy tests do people recommend? I need to buy some for next week and no idea where to start!

MissyEm · 08/06/2017 09:44

I feel your pain @MummyG! Can't stay in this mood for long, it will ruin the day :)

MummyGofboys · 08/06/2017 10:31

@MissyEm how long have you been trying? I'm not too disheartened because this is only the second cycle that we have tried. We can only trust every second cycle because of Stephens work.

@McTufty I use clear blue digital ones. They are expensive though. So not going to do another one until my period is late xx

Hi I'm a newbie and I too am looking for some ttc buddies. I'm 34 and I've been with my partner for 3 years. We've only just started ttc on 31st May and I too am already getting obsessed. I think the only thing I haven't got yet is a bbt thermometer and OPK tests. Came off pill at the end of January and AF was like clockwork till May when it was 7 days late. I'm just worried about everything really. Mostly I'm worried I've left it too late at 34 and we'll struggle to conceive Do you think the 'if it happens it happens' approach is the best way?

MummyGofboys · 08/06/2017 11:52

I think the of it happens approach is probably the best as you don't get so obsessed. It's hard not to become obsessed though 😩😩 how far along your cycle are you? 34 isn't old for trying for a baby. In fact I think that's the average age these days xx

user1496917263 · 08/06/2017 12:01

Currently on day 12. Supposed to pop the egg out on day 17 assuming I go 35 days like I usually do. However the last time it was 42 days which freaked me out a bit.

AdrianaWeatherwax · 08/06/2017 16:39

Flamingo only 2 days to go! How are you feeling?

MummyG a lot can change in 6 days! It must be frustrating trying when your husband works away and having smaller windows to BD.

Missy don't feel deflated Flowers. Have you decided if you're gonna test tomorrow or next week?

McTufty I've got cheap ones, as I've tested too early before and didn't want to waste a clearblue digi. However, I've a couple clearblue stashed away for when AF is a week overdue for that hopefully BFP.

A day or so and we can start trying again, woohoo!

FrowningFlamingo · 08/06/2017 19:17

Mostly premenstrual adriana! I've been cross, over sensitive and teary today. Unfortunately my aunt died yesterday so feeling a bit out of sorts anyway really. I'm pretty sure it's not my month this month but it was only half a cycle really, I think we were a bit late with the boinking!
McTufty I bought a pack of 20 cheapies from amazon. I've already used two Blush but I think it's the novelty of it all!
I always thought we'd use the 'if it happens it happens approach' but turns out we are embracing the every other day routine instead. I'm quite enjoying it - we were often only having sex on weekends as we both get tired from busy jobs but it's quite nice to have a prompt!

McTufty · 08/06/2017 19:21

Thank you for the test recommendations! For my first one I might splash out on a clear blue or a first response but given I'm likely to be an obsessive tester I think I had better look for more cost effective ones generally!

flamingo I am sorry about your aunt Flowers I hope you feel better soon.

I would love to do if it happens it happens but I have been broody for ages and am impatient for my BFP! It is definitely the better way to go if you're able to take that attitude, but I just am not sadly!

AdrianaWeatherwax · 08/06/2017 22:03

Oh Flamingo I am sorry to hear that Flowers
Haven't heard 'boinking' for a while Grin.

Welp, that's another baby born today on the fringes of my social circle. ( baby-making obsessing increases )

MummyGofboys · 08/06/2017 22:46

@AdrianaWeatherwax yeah it is really annoying. I just so hope it's this month. Getting lots of twinges and lots of cm. not sure if that's a sign.

@FrowningFlamingo I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope you are ok.

Iv just had two alcoholic drinks with friends because I'm trying not to get my hopes up and be normal 😂😂 plus mum offered to have the boys for the night so I couldn't turn it down.

FrowningFlamingo · 08/06/2017 22:52

Thanks all, I'm ok. It wasn't unexpected but still sad, obviously.
I'm not sure I've heard boinking for a while either but it popped into my head and felt appropriate Grin

Mrstobe90 · 09/06/2017 07:44

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt! I hope you're ok xx

I'm away until Monday so sorry if I don't post much! Internet is really poor here xx

Hey ladies. Anyone else very nauseous? I feel so sick and it comes in waves where my mouth actually waters and lots of burping. Could be a sickness bug coming but it's been over four days now. 5 days until I can officially test. Iv done two tests that were negative but they were pretty early. How are you all coping on the wait?

McTufty · 09/06/2017 16:27

Hi mummyG

Sorry you're not well, but hopefully it's a good sign for a BFP!

I feel dreadful. Really bad PMS like cramps, and would you call it nausea? Don't know. Stomach hurts and keep needing to put head between my knees but not actually felt like going to be sick. However my fiancé had an icky tummy this morning possibly from something he ate so sadly I expect it's just either AF/pill withdrawal symptoms, and the nausea being the same bug. AF not actually here though so I'm not out yet!

I am also very belchy, hey maybe that's our signature pregnancy symptom!

MummyGofboys · 09/06/2017 16:31

Oh @McTufty I hope so. Would be so exciting wouldn't it. When can you test again? I really do feel rough. Not been sick but waves of nausea bleugh. Fingers crossed. I want to do another test 😂😂 a bit mental aren't I

McTufty · 09/06/2017 17:04

Well I was just walking out to go for a posh dinner with DH, and have had to come back because the cramping was so bad I was bent double and unsteady on my feet - this has basically never happened before but the cramping is higher up in my mid abdomen so sadly doubt it's pregnancy related! However, doesn't mean I'm not pregnant, I'm just annoyed as I was all dolled up and looking forward to tonight Angry

It's not mental to want to test again, it's totally normal! And if you can spare the cash, no actual harm in doing so frequently!

I'm not sure as it's my first month off pill so no idea when AF would come, but I'm home from honeymoon Monday afternoon and might test Tuesday morning as that's 27 days since my last pill.

MummyGofboys · 09/06/2017 17:39

@McTufty that's crap!!! Those sound like good signs. Must be annoying if you don't know where you are though. It will be 4 days tomorrow so think I will do one in the morning

FrowningFlamingo · 09/06/2017 19:18

It's so frustrating the the symptoms are so non specific isn't it!!
I feel pretty normal today. Not very premenstrual despite AF due tomorrow. But not a lot else either!
My trousers are def feeling too snug but that could be AF and cake in equal measure...
I will be testing tomorrow unless AF arrives as it's due then and also I am meeting my lovely uni friends all day so would like a glass of wine!

MummyGofboys · 09/06/2017 19:21

@FrowningFlamingo it's so frustrating. You have no idea if it's pre menstrual symptoms or early pregnancy or a bug😂😂

MissyEm · 10/06/2017 00:35

Thank God it's the weekend!
@MummyG it has not been long at all, 6 weeks since I stopped my POP. Not too saw if my AF was actually AF or withdrawal bleed. According to the Ovia app AF is due next week. I had idea this journey would be so emotionally draining this early on.

@ Adriana, I haven't had the courage to test again. Ovia said to test today but I may wait and see what happens next week.

I wish everyone good luck as there are a few tests happening next week!! Exciting Grin

AdrianaWeatherwax · 10/06/2017 08:54

Sounds like you're having a rough time, McTufty! Not fine.

Yes Missy, TF it's the weekend! Mon-Fri were s**t (can you swear on these boards?). I would leave it at least a couple more days before testing if it won't stress you too much. It does get emotionally draining Sad.

This months plan is to try and shag as much as possible and not stress too much.

Have started using the clearblue OPK as they are a novelty and I am temping, but will shag on, regardless of any negatives.
