Hi,

This is all very new to me so would like to make some TTC buddies :)

Let me tell you a little about myself:
Been with my SO for 2 years now and we're getting married in 31 days! I'm 26 (nearly 27) and my hubby2b is 35. We bought a house last year and feel like now is a good time to start a family!

This is my first cycle and I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up as seen that it's harder than it looks.

Any advice would be appreciated :) xxx

I'd like to join you :) DH and I are both 27, last month was our first month of trying. After 4 BFNs and countless symptoms, AF showed up this weekend, a week later than I was anticipating (think my cycle is 35-40 days now!) so on second cycle now. This month I'm going to start using OPKs so I can get a better idea of what's going on.

We got married last autumn and this time last year I was loving the planning but super stressed about the money side, so I know what you're going through. By the time it gets to the day it'll all be worth it though!

Mrstobe90 · 06/06/2017 11:39

McTufty unfortunately family have already helped financially so can't ask for any more. I'll make it work somehow :) And DH keeps saying he can't wait til the day after the wedding when it's all bloody done with ahaha

Triska Welcome :) Congratulations on your wedding! Sorry AF has turned up but maybe this cycle will be the one.

What is everyone's symptoms today?
Mine are - boobs are even bigger but less sore. They really don't even come close to fitting in my bra, sharp stabbing pain in lower left abdomen and (sorry tmi) but lots of watery CM.
After reading up on CM throughout your cycle, I learned that after ovulation you sort of 'dry up' but if you're pregnant, you get more. Lets hope it's the latter :)

@Mrstobe90 fingers crossed guy can sort it out. You won't be caring when you in your dress and heading to he venue. They are some good symptoms. I still have cramping and a little nauseous but that's it. I was stupid and done a test yesterday which of course was negative. I'm not due to test for 8 days.

Welcome @Triskaidekaphilia sorry ad arrived. Fingers crossed for this cycle

Mrstobe90 · 06/06/2017 14:34

MummyG Most tests can test 4-5 days early max so don't let the neg test get you down! I'm not due to poas for 10 days but took one today just to check before we go away tomorrow as wouldn't want to drink if I had a positive.
nausea sounds promising! I so hope this is our month

Hi ladies, if you don't mind I'm joining late too. Me (29) and DH (29) have been together six years and we've only been trying for a week. Been DTD like crazy but I still have 14 days before aunt flo is due.

How's everyone feeling about their wait? I know it's probably not likely that's we'll get a bfp first time but I'm hoping we're the exception!

How long has everyone got until they test? I've promised DH that I won't test until 30 June by then it should be well after my period is due.

Thanks for letting me join in.Smile

MummyGofboys · 06/06/2017 15:29

Hi @Clickypenguin02 I conceived in the first cycle with both my boys so you could be the same. 8 days until I can test.

@Mrstobe90 it was silly to test lol I just really wanted too even though I knew it would be negative at this point lol. oh I hope so. We would be due February eeek. Fingers crossed for us all.

AdrianaWeatherwax · 06/06/2017 17:16

mrstobe wedding are stupidly stressful no matter what way you do them, it's madness. but it'll aaaaaall come together and you'll have a wonderful day :-)

Good luck to everyone waiting to test! And if you've tested early good luck for the next one :-)

Yes Magpie I totally have thought about it; in a logistical sense. Only 2 single toilets for a whole floor of women. So not only if it often occupied for ages it's right next door to my manager's office - you can hear people having a wee never mind throwing their guts up.

AdrianaWeatherwax · 06/06/2017 17:18

So many typos. yawns

MissyEm · 06/06/2017 18:00

Is it Friday yet?! Not sure I can hold out until then. Cramps are less frequent now......not sure how to read into that. I am trying not to work myself up but I am!

Any advice from ladies who have been through the TTC Journey before?

MummyGofboys · 06/06/2017 18:10

@MissyEm I have been through it twice and can't remember having anything until about 6 weeks but that may have been because I didn't pay attention just went with the flow. This time I'm paying such close attention to everything that I may be overthinking things this time round xx

MissyEm · 06/06/2017 18:15

MummyGofboys, 6 weeks, ok, wow I am really impatient then as a 2 week wait is driving me scatty!

I am such a planner and a list maker plus my job means everything is forward thinking, so I just need to know GrinConfused

FrowningFlamingo · 06/06/2017 18:44

Symptom free today. Very hungry and eating lots of bad food but that's not entirely out of the usual Blush
I'm very worried about work, magpie I'm due to start a new role in august and work for a very small business so me going off will have quite a negative impact. I'm feeling very guilty about taking the role and it very nearly put me off TTC. But then what if I turn t down and struggle to TTC or it doesn't happen for us in the end. Very worried about hiding early pregnancy symptoms though - I'd ideally like to be established a bit in the new role before letting on.

WithCheesePlease · 06/06/2017 18:49

Hello, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding OP. Very exciting!
I'm 36, started TTC#1 almost a year ago. It finally worked in Feb, but then miscarried 6 weeks later.
AF arrived today with a vengeance! (2nd one since mc), and I think once the b*tch is gone, we're going to start again...
Good luck everyone Smile

@frowningflamingo, I have bene outing it off for a couple of years due to work, I wanted to wait for a promotion. I got my promotion in Nov, then I thought well I should be in the role for a year. Something will always come up.....it's a tough one.

@withcheeseplease, sorry to read about the mc, fx for you this time round.

FrowningFlamingo · 06/06/2017 19:08

That's pretty much what DH and I decided too - there will never be a perfect time so we are just going to have to get one with it!
I then get annoyed with myself for feeling guilty about work. Then get annoyed with myself for getting annoyed. Can't win really Grin

Mrstobe90 · 06/06/2017 19:33

Welcome Newbies!

Penguin Hope the TWW doesn't drive you mental! I think the majority of us here are in it?

withcheese So sorry to hear about your MC! I hope this cycle brings your BFP!

I work with all girls and half of them are pregnant and all the others but one have children so there'd be no hiding it lol
Manager is a machine. Works 7 days a week for about 14 - 16 hours a day and she's got a 5 month old and is pregnant. No idea how she does it but somehow does.

@MissyEm I found out both times the day my period was due as just knew for some reason but didn't have symptoms.

@Magpie24 try and not worry about work. It all seems to fit into place once it actually happens.

@WithCheesePlease hey 😊😊 Sorry to hear about your loss. Fingers crossed this cycle brings a positive xx

AdrianaWeatherwax · 06/06/2017 21:38

Sorry to hear about your MC cheese, fingers crossed for you this time. Flowers

Your manager sounds awesome, mrstobe! With all those woman you work with you know you'll get plenty of support :-)

Ah, flamingo, don't feel guilty. You'll have the rest of your life to work for them! :-) I am relishing in the thought of going off on maternity, finally the lazy bs I work with will have to take their fingers out their arses. //bitter

MummyGofboys · 06/06/2017 22:08

Still get lots of cramping. Not sure what this is and still a bit nauseous too. This wait is awful xx

FrowningFlamingo · 07/06/2017 08:27

Haha that's true adriana! Unfortunately (for this scenario anyway!) everyone I work with is lovely. It would be easier if they were all lazy gits be honest!!
Just done a test as I'm meeting friends this afternoon and would like a glass of wine! BFN but it's too early so I'm not too disappointed.

AdrianaWeatherwax · 07/06/2017 10:38

How many days now until your 'official' test dates, MummyG and Flamingo? Not long to wait now, Missy!

That's great that your collegues are lovely, Flamingo :-) if you got your BFP you'd still have many months (if all is well) before you'd be off on mat anyway :-)

MummyGofboys · 07/06/2017 13:02

@AdrianaWeatherwax mine is a week today. Feeling very nauseous today. I'm waiting to come down with a vomiting bug but no sickness yet. Hopefully a positive sign. How about you? Xx

Mrstobe90 · 07/06/2017 13:24

Ok, a girl which I haven't seen or spoken to in a year and a half (who I barely know anyway) has just sent me this!!! Omg I hope it's a sign!

She sounds nuts Grin but hopefully she's right!!
That's true adriana. And I know they'll be really pleased for me. Though secretly a little bit cross probably!! AF is due on Saturday but my cycles have been getting longer each time since having my implant out. Last one was 27 days and before contraception I was always 28. But that was many years ago. So I won't get too excited straight away if there's no sign. No symptoms today. I'm kind of hoping next month is our month tbh, but I wouldn't be sad if it's sooner!
