First time TTC

Hi,

This is all very new to me so would like to make some TTC buddies :)

Let me tell you a little about myself:
Been with my SO for 2 years now and we're getting married in 31 days! I'm 26 (nearly 27) and my hubby2b is 35. We bought a house last year and feel like now is a good time to start a family!

This is my first cycle and I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up as seen that it's harder than it looks.

Any advice would be appreciated :) xxx

I caved and done another test. A cheapie and it didn't fecking work!!! No lines at all. Feck sake.

No sign of AF today but some EWCM. I've been frantically googling to see if this means AF is imminent as I don't usually get this before AF. Apparently the response is mixed for both AF and BFP! I haven't dared to test today but will wait for FMU tomorrow as I will be officially 1 day late. Wish me luck!!

Oh that's so annoying mummyG! When will you test again? If no AF then it's still not over!

I'm not doing one now until Sunday. I'm fed up lol had enough negatives to last me a lifetime 😂😂 just annoyed because I'm late and I'm never late but still getting negatives grrrr

Just ordered some first response tests to see if they work better than clear blue 😂😂 clutching at straws now. Been getting a pulling feeling on both sides today too. WTF just come already or give me my BFP!!!!

I have tough mudder on Saturday so was hoping to have had known what was going on so I can either give it my all or be cautious. Think I might do a test on Saturday morning if Af hasn't arrived

Oh mummyG how frustrating! I think Saturday morning with a FRER is a good idea.

I haven't used a FRER yet so I'm hoping it will give me a positive 😂😂Boys are in bed and I have my pjs on. @McTufty this is my response to my confusing womb.

I don't understand my womb either. I'm extremely bloated and have some mild cramps so hopefully AF is about to show her face.

DH is a doctor and thinks I'm incredibly silly to be worrying. He's probably right!

Oh that must be reassuring having a doctor as a husband. The cramping is so annoying isn't it. Gin and an Easter egg sounds amazing.

I think we will put a good film on and chill out. I'm a childminder and have a full day tomorrow so going to get an early night.

They are 4 and 3. The eldest starts school in August and the youngest starts pre school same time. There is 18 months between them. The eldest is dying for a baby sister lol

Hello! Can I join in?! All new to me, but I need to chat!

I'm 28 and my hussssband (thats new we got married in April) is 34. First time TTC, we started this month following a break because we honeymooned in mexico (zika, eek!).
Been off the pill for a year or so and using good ok' fashioned condoms because my skin was behaving badly on the pill. But I have a very short 23 day cycle, regular as clockwork, but just trying to track it to ensure we DTD (is that right?!) around the right time! Trying to stay relaxed and not be too full on! But oh boy are we ready for a baba!

Still shocked that McTufty still has easter chocolate! Was it hidden behind an old box of cornflower?! Because I can't fathom how it's survived this long...

Welcome, Fefi! DTD in indeed correct :-) that's great you're staying relaxed. And congrats on your wedding! When would AF usually arrive for you?

adriana lol!!! I wouldn't normally but I got married at the end of May and the fear of fitting into my very tight dress meant that I decided to save it for after honeymoon (and I'm only just back!)

Welcome fefi! Well done for not making my mistake and coming off the pill in advance! I am so ready for a baba too, fingers crossed for us!

mummyG what lovely - if crazy - ages! I have nephews that age who are brothers. I adore them! I hope you had a relaxing evening. Yeah DH is quite useful sometimes - not sure he knows too much about gynaecology but still probably more than I do!

Adri- AF due the 27th, I'm a bit worried about short cycles, if you google it, it's not great, something about lutel phases?! The 27th is also payday, so they'll be some cheer anyways!

Mctufty- I literally don't know why I panicked my whole life about not getting preggers until now! I was so religious with missed pills/extra protection etc, not reading up on it, it actually seems quite difficult! Also, I have been a bloody gannet post wedding, I'm officially 9 (NINE!) pound heavier, a pound on for every week. I.need.to.stop.

Also, ladies, which apps etc are you using?

@Fififoefum, welcome. I totally agree with what you said. You work just as hard to not get pregnant as you do to! I still can't get over the 24hr or so window we have per month! Make DTD count!!

@MummyG, everything is crossed that you get a positive answer this weekend to relieve your frustration.

Fingers crossed for all you weekend testers. AF still here with gusto - I'm away sailing all weekend which is not the ideal time to have to manage tampons etc :/ oh well, I'll battle through with extra gin!!

Three days late!!! No test song today. FRER is supposed to be being delivered today so will do a test on Sunday if AF hasn't arrived so I'm not worrying about doing tough mudder. How is everyone?

Thanks for all the positive vibes and baby dust! Well at the start of this thread I was having a chuckle at my husband who was like 'don't worry, we've got this in the bag, my super strong swimmers' etc etc.
Well, we've only gone and got a bfp on our first cycle! Took a cb and there it is! I can't quite believe it- I know it's only early days but I think like fifi said you spend so long trying not to get pregnant and worry that you won't when you try!

Anyway, what I wanted to say to you all was try using pre-seed conception fluid. I went on amazon as someone had mentioned it and there are sooo many good reviews about people getting bfp on their first go etc so thought I would give it a go too! It's a little pricey but it seems to have worked for us 😃.
