i know what you mean re things returning to normal! Looking back, I was a total nightmare when I first stopped the Pill. I honestly didn't think it would be as bad as it was! I totally sympathise!

One thing I have noticed since stopping the pill is ovulation cramps! I do not recall ever having them in the past. It may just be due to the fact that I wasn't paying attention, but they are really noticeable pains so god knows! Weird.

@Pibbee I agree with @MrsMelron, send her a message so she knows you're thinking about her. You don't even have to ask her outright, just ask how she is doing so she knows you're here for her.

@MrsMelron I hope you're cycle settles down soon, it usually takes about a month from what i heard. Lol your DH sounds very sure of himself, I swear all men seem to think it happens so quickly!

Today my boobs aren't as sore but my back is killing me. Also last night I fell asleep on the sofa and today I struggled to wake up, currently forcing myself to stay awake right now. AF due in 3 days, last night I dreamt she came today...clearly TTC is driving me crazy. Also usually before AF I get grumpy (hold myself back from punching people grumpy) but today I just feel weepy. Maybe it's a new pms symptom?

@mrsjelly I seem to get weepy more than anything these days! I used to know 100% when AF was due as I would have the Day Of Fury the day before....I don't get that any more! Weird.

Hi ladies. I'm writing this from hospital! My head was getting worse & worse, so was sent to A&E. My heart then started going in a strange rhythm (I have a previous history of an arrhythmia called SVT, but have had no problems with it since having an alarming procedure 3 years ago). Long story short, I spent the night on cardiac care and am still here! They said I'll very likely get out today, so hopefully I'll be home soon. Hope you're all well! X

I'm using mumsnet as a great distraction from housework and a good excuse to sit outside in the sun with a cuppa!! Love this weather! An excuse to get my very pale legs to see the sun for once!! Couldn't imagine being 9 months pg in it though could you?!

Oooo jellybean your symptoms sound very promising! I don't know how you're waiting! I would be like test test test 😂😂 I think I just want to see more bfps now that I'm waiting until august and know I won't be getting one for a couple more months!! Got my fx for you too twisted, hopefully this is a lucky month for you both 😘 when you planning on testing?

Pibbee I agree with what the others have said! Even if you ask her, you have been friends for so long that if she is offended or anything or she says something to you it won't be big enough to affect your friendship.

Not much to report my end. We've dtd once since af🙄 not like us at all.. we did the other night for the first time in what feels like ages but now we have to make a conscious effort to put a condom on and its a pain in the bum!! Been good so far though, no matter how much I just want to see what happens!! Xx

Having to put on a condom must be so annoying, is probably forget tbh lol you're so lucky enjoying the sun! I just left the office but treated myself to a McFlurry for the bus journey lol

Have you all quit caffeine? I have cut down loads (needed to anyway tbh as was caning coffee and diet coke all day which is never a good thing!)But I still have one small coffee a day, and the occasional diet coke...

I'm home now thank god. Absolutely exhausted. No DTD for us for at least a fortnight, as it is actually dangerous to DTD when concussed! Lol! It's the last thing I want to be doing anyway!

@Pibbee, I haven't cut out caffeine, but I don't drink fizzy drinks and I only have 1 coffee a day any way.

@jelly, apologies if you've already said, but when are you going to test? Everything crossed for you! X

6dpo. Due AF on 1st June. Have been constipated, exhausted and forgetful. What is going on?! Probably imagining it. And maybe the constipation is due to vitamins although have been on those for a few weeks. I get plenty of fibre so not sure what's happened to my bowels. Sorry about TMI!

charl literally how nice is this weather? This has been my last week of phased return to work so been finishing at 2pm, and straight out the back on the lounger. Safe to say I'm a lovely shade of red/brown! Happy in this sun ☀️😍

As for me, I'm on cd20. Dtd 4 times in Clue FW but only once in Ovia and that ends on Saturday. But coz I lost my opks 😂😂 I never got round to testing this month so no idea if I dtd at anywhere near the right times. But I've basically done it 5 times in 11 days. Average that out and it's every other day 😂 but it was actually 2 days in a row... 3 days nothing... another 2 days in a row... another 3 days nothing... and then last night. So chances are i could have completely missed the actual ovulation 😩 just hoping the swimmers have been hanging around to catch the egg. But who knows. Bring on the 2ww 😳xxx

Hello ladies . Sorry I've been AWOL . Had another very strange AF this month which is not at all like me. Turned up on CD31 which is normal but then was really light for day 1, heavy for day 2, light for day 3 and then I was spotting for 5 days. Some days I actually thought it had finished and then just before bed I'd go to the loo and wipe and it would be a tiny bit brown. Sorry tmi!

Definitely finished now and counting down to my FW. Ramadan starts tomorrow so it'll be interesting to see how TTC is affected by my change in schedule and diet.

@jelly and @twisted- fingers crossed for you both!!

I will be testing on Sunday morning if AF shows up. Last night I woke up to wee and nauseous, that never happens to me and this morning I actually struggled to on the train as I felt so sick which made me think "hhmm maybe..." but now at work with AF cramps and I think she might be showing up. I'm honestly praying she does not. Last night DH said he had his doubts on whether she would show up or not as he noticed Im much more tired than normal and have been falling asleep everywhere.

@Misty I think sperm survives for 2-3 days so that might be ok, I might be wrong lol

@Pibbee I cut back to one cup of coffee a day but even that I don't have every day, and cut back on coke as I used to go through a small bottle a day. Now I'll have a can every now and then.

Ladies, I'm trying to put myself in the best stead for this! Lots of fresh juices and raw/organic foods but can anyone tell me what are the big no nos?! I see caffeine mentioned below and was just wondering if there are any others prior to having conceived that is

Hi @Soph I don't think caffeine is a major no-no as there's not been any definitive conclusions but it's thought that excessive amounts may impact things. In any case, i was consuming way too much and TTC is as good a reason as any to cut down!

Other than that there's the obvious ones like no smoking and not too much booze, and also eat healthy stuff, exercise, get a decent amount of sleep....Basically just try to be in good nick!

@Misty I think sperm can live up to 5 days although 3ish is average. I am relying on some having hung around since the Wednesday of last week if I ovulated on or before Monday! And, if I ovulated on Tues, I am hoping that the fact we DTD around 6am Wed morning (the following Wed)means there will have been some hanging around to catch the egg! I hope I ovulated either Sunday or Tuesday tbh but no way of knowing. I had my nearest-to-positive OPK Monday morning, which would suggest ov on Monday or Tuesday, but given that no one seems to know 100% how all this works, its anyone's guess really! So what I am saying is you should be covered....

Did a preg test yesterday, as I'm taking strong painkillers and was beginning to wonder if that was wise in the 2ww. BFN, but period not due for another 4 days. Pretty sure I'm not preg though, as I've had no symptoms apart from sore boobs which are probably symptomatic of AF. I really wish now that I'd come off the pill earlier, as I had no idea TTC would be this tricky!

I just tested with a frer AF due tomorrow. It's a bfp a little faint but it's there!!! I caoukdnt stop crying. I'm so happy. I don't know what to do with myself. I picked up the test ready to see a bfn but it wasn't! There's a line. I still can't believe my eyes and woke up dh to check.

We were TTC for 9 months about a year ago and then had to stop for health reasons, I have endometriosis and my cramps and pains were just too bad at the time, so I got the Mirena iud put in. Took i out in March and this would be my 3rd cycle off it.

@flat sorry I completely ignored your post 🙈 I am glad you're feeling a little better and I agree with you. I wish I had started sooner too. If AF isn't due for another 4 days you might not show up on a test yet, did the doctors say the painkillers are safe to take?x
