Thank you @flat, I posted over you again 🙈

MistyBxx · 27/05/2017 13:22

Omg jellybean CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Ohhh it's the best feeling in the world isn't it, I bet you were shaking 😍 what lush news to wake up to! I'd buy a clearblue digital and a few more tests to get more lines haha but that is a DEFINITE line, not even a squinter!!
Literally massive congrats chick!! 🌺🙌🏼 the tiredness and boob pain are defo right this time!! Hopefully you're the first of a few more for this thread!!👌🏼 bring on the bfps!!

As for me, dtd again last night so that's 6 times in 12 days cd11 to cd22. but not every other day, like 3/4 days in between 😳
So now I've got 8 days til Clue says AF is due and 12 days til Ovia says (a whole 4 days difference) soooo the absolute EARLIEST I'm gonna be testing is Sat 10th June. I could test the day Clue says AF is due, but I'm literally going to wait til I'm 2 days late from Ovia... then it will be definite!
I couldn't bear waiting last time, but I've chilled out since then and unless I get any absolute obvious symptoms (I should recognise more this time coz I've been pg before) I'm gonna hold off.
Oh also, I dreamt I had a baby last night 😂
Wasn't pg in my dream, didn't give birth, I just had a tiny baby boy with lots of black fuzzy hair in a dark blue baby grow 😍 and I was breastfeeding haha it was so weird, I remember looking down and he was on there drinking away 😂😂😂 I even remember squeezing the other one and seeing the milk come out LOL seriously it was so vivid!! 😂🙈

Thank you @misty!! I am about to go Tesco and so tempted to get a clear blue lol. AF is due tomorrow but ovia said to test today + Ramadan has started and I am supposed to be fasting and wanted to know as I don't wanna fast and risk anything.

I'm so scared as I feel like I tested early but at the same time I'm so happy. I'm trying to calm myself down in my mind but I'm also so excited. DH cannot stop smiling.

JellyBean89 · 27/05/2017 14:30

Awww @misty your dream sounds so nice!!! I had a dream like that last month, I was holding a baby girl and she was perfect, was devastated when I woke up with AF, this month I dreamt AF came lol

Flatwhite31 · 27/05/2017 14:34

I just know AF will show up for me in a few days and, stupidly, I'm already disappointed! The concussion doesn't help either.
Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months @jelly. It's so lovely to see a BFP on here! Smile

charl19 · 27/05/2017 18:19

Oh em gee jellybean I knew it!!!! Everything you described what what I felt like when I was pg, the full feeling and all that!! Congratulations so excited for you!! That's not even a faint line that is full on BFP!! Congrats 🎉🎉

Pibbee · 27/05/2017 20:25

Woowwwwwwwww congrats @Jelly that's amazing news!!!!!! So pleased for you!!!

What a lovely sunny day it's been. Went on a long bike ride with DP (and a fairly horrible hangover!)earlier. Last night we just stayed in, and got through a lot of booze....Not ideal in the 2ww I know, but sod it, we haven't done that for ages and even if I have managed it this month then it won't have implanted yet as Im only around 4dpo.

I was randomly reading yesterday to try to find out more about when ov happens after +ve OPK and a lot of websites were saying its around 36 hours, or 24-36 hours after. I had thought it was 12-36! Sooooo I got my nearly-positive OPK on Monday morning, and 36 hours after that is Tuesday eve, so our DTD Wednesday morning would hopefully have been in the right time frame! Although I had ov pains starting Sunday, so thought it was then (in which case I am relying on previous Wednesday's effort, and swimmers happy to hang around for a few days!).

What's anyone up to this weekend? I am just loafing about at home tonight, tidying, faffing etc. Out tomorrow with friends and doing bugger all on Monday!

Twistedsister7 · 27/05/2017 22:40

Congratulations @JellyBean89 - we told you so!! Someone was due a BFP!!

I myself am spotting with cramps so pretty sure full blown AF is on the way but this time I was at least prepared!!

I'm not in the best place as our family dog was put to sleep today. Best decision as he was in pain & diagnosed with bone cancer last week but still gutted and strange to think he's no longer here 😪😪

I'm even more determined now to get pg as we could use something to look forward too. My step-dad is gutted as it was his best friend really and I know he'd love a grandchild to bond with. Although I don't call him dad he would be granddad to any child we had.

I'm sorry to mention this, just needed to say it I guess.

Back on subject is anyone else testing soon?

MistyBxx · 28/05/2017 00:22

Oh bless you twisted I know how you feel. My cat died in 2013 (still not over it) I had her when I was 8! She was 20 and had a lovely long healthy happy life for a cat and was much loved, died peacefully in her bed but still so devastating. They are part of your family. Hugs to you chick 💔

Ah charl I remember that feeling well 😍 it's bloody lovely isn't it!! So excited for you jelly yeah I bet you're glad you tested now so you can make sure you're doing everything healthy over Ramadan. Gonna be sad to lose you off this board though, please keep in touch to let us know how you are!!

Well I've been out with my nephews today (8 and 11) I adore them both so much but god they're hard work. Cinema (expensive, sweets, popcorn, fidgeting!) then walk around the park by the river and they were climbing trees and throwing stones and being lads and getting covered in mud, then McDonald's and omg the state of the back seat of my car 😂🙈 they were nonstop, I was glad to drop them off hahaha. Can't do that when they're your own!! 😂😂😂

Also girlies, this tip popped up on my Ovia today. This is always a source of confusion on here, like is the positive the same as ovulation etc?! So the way I see it is... when you get the "peak" reading or a positive opk, that signals the LH surge... not the actual release of the egg! So that would mean the egg will be released 12-24 hours AFTER the positive... and then the egg itself lasts 12-24-36 hours (not sure which one!) so really, if you don't manage to dtd on the day you get a positive, you potentially have at least 24 hours or at most 60 hours to catch the egg with some swimmers (which themselves can last up to 5 days lol) sorry if you all know this already lol but I've seen it asked and I've never known the answer definitively before 😂

This is the tip x

Yeah @misty the positive definitely doesn't mean the egg has been released. However, I have read various things which say the egg is released up to 36 hours after the positive, not 24. Seems that there is a lack of clarity on that point!

It's so sunny here today! Rare for it to actually be sunny on a bank hol, it usually rains! Grin

Flatwhite31 · 28/05/2017 09:56

I've read online that the 'ideal' window for DTD is two days prior to ovulation. So many different points of view out there! At the end of the day, it's all a bit of a luck game, and unfortunately the odds (well, from what I've read anyway) of falling pregnant are 25%! I've a sneaking suspicion I'll be seeing AF soon, booooo. In a way though, I'm so focused on trying to recover from my head injury (still got a bloody headache, am getting so fed up now) the thought of AF appearing now isn't bothering me as much as I thought it would.

Flatwhite31 · 28/05/2017 09:57

@jelly, meant to say, please stick around and say hi now and then! You're so lovely! How are you feeling today? Have you done any more tests? Smile

JellyBean89 · 28/05/2017 10:00

@Twisted I am so sorry about your family dog babe! We have a family cat at my mums and I honestly don't know how I'd feel when she passes.
@misty I didn't even think to leave this board tbh Blush I went on a few and posted on there but they're all so daunting and big. I spent yesterday evening with my younger siblings (10, 9, and 5) and I couldn't wait to come home to peace and quiet, definitely can't leave like that when they're yours lool.

When I went to get my iud out the doctor talked me through some TTC points and I'm pretty sure he said 48 hours or he might have said 48-36hours.

Twistedsister7 · 28/05/2017 10:30

Thanks @MistyBxx & @JellyBean89 - he really was part of the family. My step-dad is heartbroken.

How are you feeling @JellyBean89 - has it sunk in yet?

JellyBean89 · 28/05/2017 16:10

@Twisted I am ok, just tired and extremely weak, we went food shopping and by the end I felt like my legs couldn't carry me anymore. I did 2 tests yesterday and today no AF but it still feels like a daydream. Got some clearblue digitals so I can see it in writing lol

Flatwhite31 · 28/05/2017 16:46

Pretty sure AF is on her way. Having my usual carb and sugar cravings! Blush

Flatwhite31 · 28/05/2017 16:49

Ahhh so exciting @jelly! Hope you're home now putting your feet up.

Pibbee · 28/05/2017 19:09

Hi all

So sorry to hear about your dog @Twisted. We had various cats when I was growing up and it's so devastating when they get old and the inevitable happens....I've got a little cat but he's only 3 so hopefully lots and lots of years left...

So exciting @Jelly! If/when I get a BFP i am gonna spend that whole day weeing on sticks! Haha!

I have felt really tired all day but I am putting that down to my super-late Fri night rather than anything more exciting! I have had about 5 hours' worth of naps today! It's what bank hols are for....Now on my way out to meet friends, omg it was absolutely PISSING it down earlier but that seems to have subsided thank god.

Sorry about impending AF @flatwhite. How's the head now?

I was messaging my friend earlier who had IVF recently....And she didn't mention it! So that either means it didn't work out, or it did but she's keeping it quiet for now. I really want to know, but she obviously doesn't want to talk about it....

JellyBean89 · 28/05/2017 23:51

@Pibbee it's so hard not to keep peeing on sticks! I did 2 yesterday and a digital today just so I could see it in words lol. 5 hours worth of naps sound like a lot, how much sleep did you have the night before?

@flat how's your head doing?

JellyBean89 · 28/05/2017 23:51

I really hope it worked out for your friend @pibbee x

Flatwhite31 · 29/05/2017 10:51

Hi everyone, I'm finally a bit better today. Feeling a bit down about TTC instead. Period due Wed, BFN yesterday, so pretty sure I'm out. No preg symptoms at all anyway apart from sore boobs. I'm conscious of the fact I'm 31 as well, and my very short periods (2 days long) make me worry that my fertility isn't great. Maybe I'm worrying over nothing, but you know when you just have a gut feeling that something isn't right? Sad

cannonball8726 · 29/05/2017 11:56

Hey flatwhite, I'm just the same. 31 and short periods too (2-3 days). Also no pregnancy symptoms at moment. I'm trying to be positive about things - it will happen at some point, and if not, then we will have to deal with that. Focusing my energies on positive things and feeling much better for it :) hope you feel better. Enjoy the sunshine!

SophSoph92 · 29/05/2017 12:28

My periods have been about 2-3 days and very heavy since I came off the pill in March. I'm hoping they will chill out...
Does anyone else find shift work SO HARD when TTC??? Just watching the days until ovulation tick down on my app and knowing i be lucky to even see my other half for 5 mins whilst we're both awake! This month-other half is on a night tonight and due to ovulate, I can't jump on the poor guy as soon as he walks through the door!?! Can I???! Stressful!
