So in the absence of our lovely founder Hippy, I've set up thread #6 to help us keep up the motivation and PMA.

Congratulations to all our grads, the rest of us may be slacking behind but we'll be there soon!

Also ladies I have a question... I'm 2dpo today (confirmed by BBT so I'm sure I definitely OV on Saturday) but I've had quite a bit of EWCM the last 2 days. I never normally get EWCM after OV, so does anyone have any ideas?

MissMagpie · 22/05/2017 16:07

I sometimes get ewcm for a couple of days after Archies. Wouldn't read too much into it. Probably just a bit left over!

FX for you loa. PMA that it is just your BFP keeping you waiting.

ArchiesMamaBird · 22/05/2017 16:12

Thanks Magpie. I've also been drinking more RLT this cycle than I normally do so I suppose that could be contributing to it too

@ArchiesMamaBird that made me hoot!! #ohwhatanight amazing! I'm back to my glass of wine a night habit this month. Why not?? Stops that stress you're talking about @loababy!!

I get random splodges of ewcm throughout some months. Mostly around ov but I've been known to have it after. Just another random our bodies like to bat at us!

Hippychic18 · 22/05/2017 17:05

Cheers cakes ... here's to drinking your way to bfp :)))

archies I get ewcm sometimes after ovulation too.

Sorry for the back lash today guys

Think im about 6 weeks exactly today.

I spoke to midwife today at EPU. She said the most common cause of cramps lower abdo pain in early pregnancy is actually ur bowel. She said everything slows down and that's why u end up so bloated etc (which I am ad I'm sure some of you have said same) she said to keep an eye on it & up my fibre & try some peppermint tea.

Not going to lie it's fine today - but in turn is that making me freak more 😂😂😂 I cannot win.

Boobs still achey keep bloody squeezing them to make sure 😭

I haven't thought about buying anything or decorating or anything I feel like I'm jinxing myself lol!!!!

Oh mind the days folk found out at 4/5 months lol wish I was them lol

AmandaP86x · 22/05/2017 20:04

Sorry wrong thread x

notparticularlypatient · 22/05/2017 20:56

Hi you lovely lot, and sorry for my absence. I am a bit rubbish when it comes to posting, but I usually follow the thread. Have to say I haven't read back today, shying conflict as I usually do. But welcome back hippy, glad to hear you feel better. Sounds like a sound reaction to delete your mn account in protest! And the best to all the grads, will keep an eye on you, and will hopefully join you all soonSmile!

Archies I absolutely love your drunken night out story, I think it is so important to take some time-outs while ttc, just forget about it all and remember how it felt like being a normal person NOT knowing what cycle day you're on!

Loa are your cycles sometimes long, or is this one-off? Hope your bfp is showing up asap!

I am 7 or 8 dpo today (similar to hoping?), opks were positive for two days - no idea what that was all about. Have no symptoms whatsoever, and will know in a couple of days either way due to my short lp. The good news is that I ovulated on cycle day 18 or 19, and not 25 as last month. This may have been a coincidence, or it could be down to having had a couple of sessions of acupuncture this cycle. Am clearly hoping for a bfp, but if not, I have an appointment at a gynecologist to see whether he thinks there is anything I should be trying at this point. We shall see I guess.

CakesALot · 22/05/2017 21:36

Hi @notparticularlypatient! Nice to see you. Great that the acupuncture has seemingly has some effect. Everything crossed for you. How long have you been trying? Sorry, I've lost track of everyone!

Moo31 · 22/05/2017 21:40

@Archies I would love to go on a night out with you! Also I think rlt does cause more ewcm but it's also a symptom I had before bfp so fx!!

notparticularlypatient · 22/05/2017 22:28

Cakes we haven't been trying for too long, we started in September and I fell pregnant in November, only to have mc in January. The reason why my gp has referred me to a gynecologist, is that I have a cyst on my left ovary. It should not interfere with ttc or pregnancy, but they keep an eye on how it develops. I also want to ask him about options at this point due to my age. I will be 41 in a couple of months, and I find that really scary. I feel I need to throw everything I can at ttc now, and then accept that it's not happening if I'm still here a year from now. Which I, or any of us for that matter, in the name of PMA, will clearly not beSmile. Long rant, sorry. And we have a DD who is 19 months to keep us busy, plus a ds from my former relationship, so I do feel lucky no matter what happens.

Forgot to say in my previous post that I'm with you on the having a glass of wine to relax-approach. Keeps me sane!

CakesALot · 23/05/2017 07:31

Ah I see! Great that your getting the advice and support. Always nice to be able to talk to someone and for them to give you some answers. Cheers to the vino too!! Whatever keeps you going I say!

Hippychic18 · 23/05/2017 08:44

Morning ladies :))
patient my opks stayed positive for two days last cycle but I only used one opk this month as I'm desperately trying to take the chilled route to bfp now :)). I would take x2 positive opks as a good sign in that you've caught your peak fertility at the very start. Most opks state that once the surge is detected you've got 24-36 hours to dtd, so I would assume that you got 36 hours from the first positive opk and just under 24 hours from the second. That's just my opinion anyway :))
Well as you all witnessed I had a very stressful day yesterday and came under fire a bit for my post suggesting two threads ... on reflection perhaps I should have phrased it a little bit better, but as you've probably noticed I haven't been myself recently. I am finding the ttc journey a bit tough at the moment as last month hit me quite hard and zapped my Pma thus why I've been a bit quiet. I am finding it hard with dp not being fully on board and without going into too much detail, the reason why I have not talked to him directly is because he has a very stressful job and very limited self esteem... which doesn't help when we make love because he can't always finish which puts more stress on him and me. Having listened intently to others on here and in light of knowing my dp very well, I'm 100% confident that the ttc pressure would be too much. I also know that dp wants children and he wants them with me. He intends to propose to me next month (I've chosen the ring and he's asked my dad) and he often puts his hand on my belly and says he can't wait to put a baby in there.
I would also like to clarify that I do not sprinkle the supplements in his food - due to previous health issues dp has had an appointment with my naturopath and she has recommended that he take a series of supplements and I've included natural fertility supplements that she has prescribed for him which he takes freely off his own back.
In the meantime I went to the doctors yesterday and I have an appointment on Friday to get my blood tested as I'm 38, and I do worry about age.

One final note - I have posted in the grads thread this morning to apologise again if I offended anyone as it honestly wasn't my intention and have openly said that Pma grads are welcome back on here to say hi even if they don't want to speak with me directly. I don't particularly like conflict either believe it or not, but I just felt it was time for two threads.
I would also like to say thank you to the ladies on here for their kinds words that they sent me yesterday... these messages of support were very much appreciated.

Xxx

MissMagpie · 23/05/2017 13:33

I am sure everyone understands at least to some extent what you are experiencing Hippy. People won't hold it against you. I think everything can be put in perspective today of all days.

Really hope this is your month Patient. Sending positive thoughts your way.

I am 5dpo now and have really tender breasts. Which is weird as it is way too early for symptoms. Wonder what my hormones are playing at.

AmandaP86x · 23/05/2017 16:43

He unwillingly takes them you said but now he's taking them freely 😳 can't keep up!

AmandaP86x · 23/05/2017 17:15

I'm really sorry but I have honestly had enough.

@Hippychic18 your behaviour over the past couple of days has been shocking. The only comment I have made towards you was a question - a simple question as to how someone can be given tablets without consent - I never once accused you of that I just simply asked.

Now in turn I have had repeated private messages from you with snide comments such as "they where right about you" "your nasty and unsupportive" "your in the wrong thread it's for PMA only"

So following on from my question you have made me feel like everyone on this thread from the past couple of months is against me for some reason, iv actually went back and read all my posts to see if I have came across unsupportive and actually got myself completely worked up about this.

I am sorry that your finding the TTC journey this difficult that you have to behave in this manner but I am 6 weeks pregnant and currently very anxious and the last thing iv needed these past few days is the hassle from you all because I asked you a simple question - I repeat I ASKED I did not accuse.

You've now came on today and completely turned this around comments like "under fire" as if your the innocent one. You've also completely contridicted what you said yesterday about the supplements. I feel like your just here to cause drama for reasons unbeknown to me.

I am now actually going to unfollow this thread which I didn't want to do as loads of the girls on here have gave me loads of amazing support and banter. I'm sorry but I cannot be associated in a thread where a grown women is behaving in this manner.

Hope to see the rest of you over on the grads soon.

Take care x

Hippychic18 · 23/05/2017 17:50

Thanks for your comment magpie that people understand where I'm coming from, obviously some understand more than others. And due to my poorly crafted post some did take offence where none was intended. I understand now why there are separate topic threads for different circumstances and why a one size fits all thread isn't ideal.

I did receive some very supportive messages yesterday from both grads and ttc'ers but at the same time I did feel under fire for speaking up and suggesting two threads even though I've been reassured by many that i did a good thing.

I set up the Pma thread with the intention of members being kind, supportive and not judgemental of others and i stand by that.

I did not write that original post with the intention of causing any drama and would very much like to draw a line under it. as the situation today in Manchester has unfolded I really don't think this is important.

xxx

AmandaP86x · 23/05/2017 17:53

@Hippychic18 unbelievable!

Hippychic18 · 23/05/2017 18:00

amanda just drop it will you!! Focus on your pregnancy, this is not important! I did take your comments personally yesterday and yes I was very hurt by it. I do not wish to be judged on here by you or anyone. The thread is about everyone, not just you and me. Now please leave it.

AmandaP86x · 23/05/2017 18:14

@Hippychic18 what comments????

MissMagpie · 23/05/2017 18:47

Ok I think we need to draw a line in the sand and stop this argument. I am not quite sure I understand how it escalated or how it can be resolved but this is definitely not what any thread on here is for.

Can we get back to the TTC chat?
Who is still on here for that?
Me, Patient, Cakes, loa... who else?

CakesALot · 23/05/2017 19:25

TTC chat would be most welcome! Although I don't have much to say on that matter at the moment being at the dull stage of in between af and ov. We did dtd yesterday though, just for fun! Imagine that!

Hippychic18 · 23/05/2017 19:25

Well said magpie.
I'm here but keeping quiet now for a day or two xxx

CakesALot · 23/05/2017 19:30

Just scrolled back and hopefully @ArchiesMamaBird, @hopingforabfp and @sarahboro1 are lurking somewhere!
