So in the absence of our lovely founder Hippy, I've set up thread #6 to help us keep up the motivation and PMA.

Congratulations to all our grads, the rest of us may be slacking behind but we'll be there soon!

Archies just to reassure you (as I only have one tube left so have asked these questions of the doctors a lot!), your chance of getting pregnant in a month is only reduced by 20-30 per cent, as one tube can 'catch' the egg from either ovary. So on months that you ovulate on the tubeless side, there is still a good chance you can get pregnant.

Flashinthepan · 11/07/2017 13:16

Sorry about af cakes. But you sound full of determination!

ArchiesMamaBird · 11/07/2017 13:47

Cakes I'm waiting to hear off the gynaecologist, so will find out whether he wants to retest or just wait and see what happens. And so sorry AF arrived Flowers

Flash Thank you, that has definitely reassured me. I did some googling and read about how the Fallopian tubes can move around so that would explain the 'catching' I suppose. So I'm going to keep up the PMA and not stress about it for now Smile

archies glad your hsg wasn't painful. I am excited for you and have got everything crossed that this does the trick.

cakes sorry to hear af arrived for Hun. I'm trying to work on keeping my stress levels down too ... it's really hard ... it's kind of like losing weight ... the more you think about reducing the foods that are bad for you, the hungrier you get for them. And the more you try not to stress out, the more things start to stress you out ... well that's what I find anyway.

Hi flash how's things with you?

Xxx

Flashinthepan · 11/07/2017 21:32

Hi hippy. Good thanks. Last cycle just went by and AF came on time. First month I haven't tested. I've started Agnus castus this month to try and help with the luteal phase spotting. Heading into fertile week and feeling good. Bit nervous about getting to my birthday again with no baby, but have a couple of months before that. How are you?

CakesALot · 11/07/2017 22:56

Yes exactly @Hippychic18. I can't tell myself I'm relaxing and switching off but the knots and tension in my shoulders are saying something different!

Hippychic18 · 12/07/2017 07:19

flash hi five for not testing. I've got mixed feelings around testing, I try my best to hold out but it's so hard since like you and everyone else on here I can't wait to see my bfp and each month whilst ttc has seemed like an eternity and having a stock pile of pg tests including frers and ic's doesn't help. My lp can vary from 10-13 days and I'm not sure if it should be more regular so interested to know how you get on with Angus. I've been drinking raspberry Leaf tea every day up to ovulation and finding it's helping with ewcm so that's my thing at the moment. I'm in fw too .... happy humping 😜

cakes sounds like you need a bloody good massage or perhaps a spa day? I try really hard with my self talk telling myself not to stress out about 'stuff' but I'm not sure my body always listens so I have my weekly acupuncture and every 6 weeks I go for reflexology. I think I need to get back to my daily meditation too :))

ArchiesMamaBird · 19/07/2017 09:16

Happy Hump Day ladies!

I OV yesterday which was CD14 but I'm not holding out much nope this month already. Me & DH had a big argument on Saturday morning, and being my stubborn & impulsive self I decided to take DS away to Devon for the weekend to visit my Aunt Grin Came home Monday and we made up and DTD, but then I OV yesterday. So although technically we could have timed it right, I feel like we should have been DTD a bit more over my FW. I also OV on my left side which where my possible blocked tube is. Sooooooo all in all I'm feeling like we've missed our chance this month.

I've also been really slack with the RLT drinking and we haven't used Conceive Plus or anything. So I'm going to have a chilled couple of weeks now and see what happens when AF is due Grin

How's everyone else? Anyone due to test soon?

OP posts:
Hippychic18 · 19/07/2017 15:36

Happy hump day to you too archies
Sorry to hear you had a big argument with dh but pleased to hear you made up in time 😉
I'm not holding out much hope this cycle either ... I have no idea when I ovulated as I'm not using opks this month and due to dp's work commitments... we only had one crack at it this month too ... on cd 12 ... from past experience I usually ovulate on cd 15 ish so I'm thinking it may have been too early ... but dp has been taking his fertility supplements religiously so I'm hoping his Doreen's took a leisurely swim to meet Peggy ... #pma :))
I've been a bit slack on the rlt too ... and I was poorly a few days before fw so I'm wondering if that may have scuppered my chances this cycle (had a tummy bug)?!? I did use pre seed though even tho I had loads of ewcm 😂
Cd22 here ... another week to go :))
Yes how is everyone ?
Xxx

Flashinthepan · 19/07/2017 15:49

Hello ladies. I'm 7/8dpo and have had no spotting. Started Agnus castus on cd6 ish and it seems to have worked a treat! Think it was you hippy that was considering it? Only managed to dtd on CD 7 and 8 but think I OVd unexpected early on cd10 so hopefully I'm still in with a chance. Testing Sunday if no AF.

ArchiesMamaBird · 19/07/2017 15:59

Hippy & Flash Well as we always say, we're not out until AF shows, so I'm going to try and keep a bit of PMA going.

And Flash that's fab that the agnus castus has worked for you! My LP seems to have gone back up to 14 days the last few months, but I know what a worry it can be when it seems quite short

OP posts:
CakesALot · 19/07/2017 22:07

Well hello ladies!!

Sounds like some promising vibes going here despite not a lot of dtd this month. We're yet to get started, cd9 I think so we better get our act together! No ewcm yet which normally gets going by now so not sure what's going on this cycle. Plus dh is away this weekend. Typical! Will dtd either side of the weekend though.

Glad the agnus castus seems to have done some good @Flashinthepan. Fingers crossed it takes you to BFP!

I've been slack on all fronts these last couple of months. A lot of stuff going on with family/work so I had to drop the focus on TTC a bit. Maybe that'll do the trick though?!

Hippychic18 · 20/07/2017 07:22

flash I'll try anything to get my bfp so waiting in anticipation to see if this does the trick :))
archies yes we must keep the Pma going if nothing else it keeps me sane :))
cakes drat how inconvenient that dh is away this wk end but I seem to recall moo being away and dtd either side of her trip when she got her bfp ... so stay chilled and keep positive ... fx that should do it.
Xxx

ArchiesMamaBird · 20/07/2017 08:58

I honestly believe that we will get our BFP's when the time is right, so no amount of RLT/OPK's/BBT taking will change things. And I have to say that I am so much more chilled this cycle after not doing all of the above Smile

OP posts:
Hippychic18 · 20/07/2017 09:12

Here here archies I wholeheartedly agree with you. I've dropped opks as they were stressing me out and I have to say it's made me much more chilled :))
After all the crazy things that I've tried over the last 6+ months I can't help wondering whether focusing on it so much and trying to control it has pushed it a little further away each time ....
in another note - I'm kind of thinking that despite the fact the limited dtd action this cycle ... surely we must have it covered between us ... some more bfps on this thread are well overdue :)))

MissMagpie · 20/07/2017 16:40

Hi ladies.
So I have purposefully been AWOL because I have not wanted to jinx myself again....
Basically my AF was due two weeks ago today. Nothing. But massive sore boobs. Tested with three different types of tests the following day - two faint positives, one CB digi positive.
As I had had the two early MCs the cycles before. I was basically shit scared it would happen again! So did a really bad job of chilling out and waiting over the weekend. Nothing happened. Did another digi test on the Tuesday and it was postitive again.
Went to Dr, basically cos I was so scared. She said wait a week, try to relax, stay positive.
The week came and went with lots of cramps and feeling knackered.
Did another digi test - still positive and had moved up a week. Went back to Dr. He said I am 6 weeks and I have booked a midwife appt for when I come back off hols in middle of August.

I am still feeling fairly nervous and I have had lots of 'wet' feelings down there when I panic I am losing it, but so far, so good. I am trying not to think about it and rest up. Everything is in nature's hands.

I am going to tell my parents this weekend before we go away. No nausea yet, just feeling tired and my boobs are like lead.

I hardly dare speak of it or write this for fear it will make it all go wrong, which is ridiculous. Hoping I calm down soon!!

CakesALot · 20/07/2017 17:15

Oooooo @MissMagpie!! That's such exciting news! Totally understand your nerves though but it's all sounding very positive. Wet feelings are normal, I had that through my whole pregnancy (nice!). Really sounds like this is the one. Everything crossed for you lovely and I'm so thrilled for you!! Xxx

Dollydaydream2829 · 20/07/2017 18:24

Hi ladies!

Glad to see all the PMA is still alive and kicking!! Only a matter of time before the BFPs rear their head! Especially with all the stress free attitudes you've adopted! I wish I'd spent less time stressing when TTC although easier said than done!

Cautious congrats magpie - so pleased for you and even more pleased that things seem to be progressing as they should! I'll keep everything crossed for you! If you have a local early pregnancy unit, some of them are nice enough to offer a reassurance scan going by your history!
Remember you're more than welcome to join the Grads Thread too when you're ready! Same goes for the rest of you as well!

I miss you all and I'm sure I can count for others on saying they do too.

notparticularlypatient · 20/07/2017 22:47

Massive congratulations magpie! Sounds like this is it for you, although I fully understand that you feel a bit cautious about it all. I really hope all goes well for you, and it most likely will!

To the rest of you relaxed ladies I just have to say that I am impressed. I can't imagine my life without opks anymore, my FW varies by about a week, so I feel I have to make sure I know when I ov (how depressing is that...). Argh, it really is a bit stressful. Hope the relaxed approach works for you soon and that it rubs of a bit on the rest of us...

Flash I am so pleased to hear that the agnus castus has worked for you and prevented the spotting. I am really considering it for future cycles to see if it can help my short lp. Can I ask where you ordered yours from?

I have had another long cycle after two perfectly normal ones. At least it ended up with an epic amount of dtd (due to being on holiday while waiting for the egg), although I am aware that it probably won't help much. We had fun though, so that's something!

Hippychic18 · 21/07/2017 05:07

Massive cautious congratulations magpie.

dolly hi. Trust all is going well I bet your super excited now .... big hug.

Hi patient I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were :)) glad to hear you had a lovely holiday and lots of dtd .... fx it's done the trick for you.

Xxx

Moo31 · 21/07/2017 14:35

Hi ladies, I have just caught up on the last week or so of the thread - lovely to see the positivity is back and then some :) glad you are all doing well! Same as @Dolly said - we miss you all :) hopefully see some of you over on the grads thread soon! :) To those who have had relaxed cycles - sometimes that is just the trick. All it takes is one little Doreen! Fx this is your cycle ladies. Big hugs to you all! xo

Magpie - congratulations!! :D Delighted for you! Understandable that you would be nervous but everything sounds positive. If it helps reassure you I had those "wet" feelings for the first trimester. When you are ready, and only if you want to, hop on over to the grads thread!

ArchiesMamaBird · 22/07/2017 11:11

Hi Moo & Dolly, so lovely to hear from you both Smile

Magpie I just knew it! Congratulations, I am over the moon for you. I think it's totally normal for you to be worried but you've made it to 6 weeks so I'm sure the next 34 will go nice and smoothly Smile

And hey Patient, how annoying that you had a long cycle. Our bodies know how to test us sometimes don't they!

OP posts:
Flashinthepan · 22/07/2017 13:45

magpie congrats. Lovely news.

Patient I ordered from Amazon, you need to search for e-supplements on there. They are 1000mg. My mum has been taking and ordering from there for a long time. Spotting only started on 9dpo this time and LP is only 11. Spotting has been starting on day of ov, and it says to give it at least 2-3 months so I'm very pleased so far. Hope it helps for you.

AF for me tomorrow. Spotting has picked up a bit today. But we only dtd twice in fertile week. I seem to alternate between OVing on cd10 one month and cd13 the next. Makes it a bit hard to hit the window.

ArchiesMamaBird · 23/07/2017 09:59

You never know Flash, you're not out until she's here Smile but if she does show up, then hopefully you'll smash it next month now that the Angus castus has kicked in Smile

5dpo over here and I'm having such bad PMS symptoms 😩 so annoying because I've hardly had any the last few months thanks to acupuncture. But I had the most horrendous cramping and backache yesterday, I was adamant that AF was starting even though I have another 9 days to go yet 🙈

OP posts:
Flashinthepan · 23/07/2017 10:15

So yesterday spotting was 2 or 3 small.clots, never had that before. Today, 12 dpo, af due, breasts still hurt and no sign of af. BFN yesterday. Should I test again tomorrow or just wait it out?
