Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Flash, I am absolutely and totally with you re supplements. I've pretty much given up taken everything now (despite what I said above). I remember every now and then and choke down a vitamin or two but not with any regularity or commitment. I like to pretend it's because I'm so zen but really, I know it's just because I'm resigned to the fact that it's not going to happen anytime soon. Flowers for you, will be thinking of you next week.

Binky That sounds exhausting, I hope you have a nice chilled out evening.

Pyjamas, I'm really impressed by the sound of the Lister. Way more organised than CRGH but I'm just not sure it's convenient enough for us. Once you've made the decision to start, it must be such a relief for the process to move so fast.

geeup · 16/05/2017 17:36

Hi all. The long timers will hopefully remember me from the thousands of previous threads. I don't often post here now as I'm now doing IVF (start cycle 2 later this month). I just popped on to say hi and pjs if you fancy joining an IVF thread, I'm on the TTC for 18 months one, the Mar/Apr one from my first round and will probably join the May/June or June/July one once I have my treatment plan finalised. It's really helpful to join one with people cycling around the same time, especially if it's your first go to help with questions etc. Very best of luck whatever you end up doing! Hope the rest of you are ok and keeping on keeping on. Smile

Pyjamas81 · 16/05/2017 17:56

Not sure which office you're based in kath, but it's just a few stops on the district line from embankment (Sloane square) and they also have a satellite clinic in the Shard which would be convenient for the other main office. Seeing as I'm going to have to go in for monitoring nearly every other day, I wanted it to be easy to go from work!

And hello gee! Lovely to see you 😊 thanks for the thread tips, I'll definitely check them out and probably see you on the June/July one!

Kathrino · 16/05/2017 18:29

Ooh that's useful to know pyjamas, I'd mainly been thinking about the distance from home but that might work well (embankment is good at the moment but we're moving in a few months to the other place so the shard would be handy).

Gee, lovely to see you and best of luck for cycle 2.

Pyjamas81 · 16/05/2017 18:37

Yeah I did think about distance from home first kath, but then thought near work is better as I'd have to go there several times over the working week (and DH only needs to be at nurse consultation, egg collection day and transfer day, so he'll just go wherever I tell him to go!)

Londonjam · 16/05/2017 19:18

Pyjamas that's so exciting, hope all your reading helps you feel more prepped and less daunted by the prospect. I can imagine it's a lot of information to take in

Flash I know the feeling. I ran out of conception tablets (again) the other day and haven't bothered buying any replacement yet, so am currently taking nothing too! I mean it's done me no good so far 🙄

Ugh binky why do people do that??

Hope you're doing well kath
Hello gee, wishing you luck for your second IVF cycle

I'm glad it's not just me! Thanks girls.

Also, if anyone needs a laugh and hasn't seen it, watch task master. It's on season 4 on Dave now, but you can catch up on the previous ones on the UKtv play catch-up.

Kathrino · 16/05/2017 22:06

Flash, totally agree re Taskmaster. DH and I have just sat here watching tonight's episode in absolute hysterics.

I'm okay thanks Jam, hope you're not too jet lagged this week 😘

Flashinthepan · 16/05/2017 22:10

Oh us too kathrino! I love it. Great hour of escapism.

otters2017 · 16/05/2017 22:28

Great info about supplements. Where do you buy uniquinol or coq10 from?

Managed to get our consultant appointment brought forward from end July to next week - yay!! alexia will be asking about hcg trigger shot. I don't think it's something they offer here but worth asking. Thanks for the advice too. I agree progesterone is not always an accurate reflection. Will look into private scan but may save up in case we need ivf!

Will have to set my alarm to temp properly as I've just been checking whenever I wake so far. Have started using IC opks and have been checking twice a day - morning and evening. Negative so far and it's CD13 (usual cycles 28-30) really hope it turns positive soon!

MouseLove · 16/05/2017 22:32

Hey ladies!!!!

Just thought I'd finally drop in and say hey, update you and thank you for all your pm's and well wishes.

For the recap and the newbies...
TTC #1
Age 33

I had a MMC at 10 weeks back at the start of February after 3 very irregular cycles this try (have been trying on and off since 2013) and after being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism I started medication in my 7th week. I started to miscarry just after my 9th week start and the whole process was over in just a few days.

Just a few days later I was given the heartbreaking news that my docs said I was not to TTC until my levels were normal. And they were really realistic and said it could take up to 12 months for them to get the medication stable. So... while I'm not actively TTC I wanted to drop in and let you know where I am.

I'm ok, well as ok as I can be. I'm still kicking with the PMA and I am staying hopeful that my June 1st appointment (was meant to be in bloody April) will bring good news. But I'm dreading reaching my due date today if I'm honest and I have utterly hopeless moments. BUT I'm not feeling negative about the whole situation. I can't. I have to keep positive and hope that it will happen. If nothing more it's made the relationship with DH even stronger and even if I never become a Mum, I have him and he's been perfect.

I'm currently CD18 of my 4th cycle post MMC and thankfully unlike before the MMC I've been REGULAR!!!! 29, 26, 29 days so far, which is much better than my 50, 21 and BFP.

So ladies, sorry I've been MIA, I'm probably not going to be back full time until I get the green light but I wanted to drop in, see how everyone is, congratulation the BFP and send hugs for those going through crap times. There is light at the end of the tunnel and it will be all worth it in the end.

And to leave you with my (semi) famous saying. Remember today is one day closer to holding your precious babies. Xxx

harrietm87 · 16/05/2017 22:35

Hi mouse!!!! So good to hear from you. You've been so patient. And that is really excellent news about your cycles. Hopefully your next appointment will bring you good news! Do come back to us properly soon.

Kathrino · 16/05/2017 22:48

Lovely to hear from you Mouse, always so inspired by your attitude and positivity. I hope your appointment in June brings you some good news but it definitely seems like a positive sign that your cycles are so regular.

Otters, I just buy mine from Holland & Barrett but you can prob get it cheaper online.

Pyjamas81 · 16/05/2017 22:58

Hello mouse!!! So lovely to see you again and good to hear your cycles are more normal - definitely a big step. We're all here when you're ready ☺️

Binkybunny13 · 16/05/2017 23:08

Mouse! I echo the others- so nice to hear from you, and great news about your cycles settling a bit. Your positivity is inspiring and think your famous phrase is just what we need. Hope you're back with us very soon (temporarily of course until we are all on our grads thread 😉)
Take care x

Londonjam · 17/05/2017 07:52

Mouse!!! Great to see you. You are doing so well with the wait, and that's great news about your cycles and that things are so good with your DH. I hope you are back here with us very soon xxx

Never heard of this task master? Got the place to myself tonight so lining this one up!

Does anyone actually HS in the TWW? I was contemplating it yesterday and then just couldn't be bothered Blush

Pyjamas81 · 17/05/2017 08:12

Nah jam - can't be bothered!! Literally the furthest thing from our minds!

HepKestrel · 17/05/2017 08:42

hello mouse !
lovely to hear from you.

sk1pper · 17/05/2017 08:59

Omg Mouse - so so good to hear from you. I'm glad you're still on this battle with us. Xxx

Flashinthepan · 17/05/2017 09:36

Mouse great to hear from you, sounds like you are coping amazingly well. FX the June appointment brings good news.

Jam I don't because of the bleeding, but I would like to. Can't say that I definitely would, but I'd like to have the option!

Flashinthepan · 17/05/2017 15:12

Also, Jam you definitely need to watch it. There are 3 full series on UKTV play at the moment, plus the episodes from the current season so far.

Flashinthepan · 17/05/2017 16:21

Has anyone read the "His Little Shirt" thread. If you haven't, you need to. But do it alone. In private. Because I started reading it at work and had to bite a tissue and run into the loo because I was laughing too much.

Londonjam · 17/05/2017 16:45

Which board flash?

AlexiaB · 17/05/2017 16:45

OMG Mouse ❤️ Yay soo happy to see you on here again! Glad you're doing as well as can be expected and that you and DH are closer than ever. I knew you were an amazing couple anyway but it's great to hear. Great news about your cycle length too! Will keep my fx for June. Come back as soon as you're ready, we've missed you! Xxx

Flash!!! I'm only on page 3 and I've almost peed my pants. Dawn Doctor 😂😂😂 Tattoos? Ratios? Wtf is she on?
