Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Great news Nova.

Welcome tea.

I suppose I am in the TWOT although this is also a WTF cycle, so who knows?!

BroodyMary · 15/07/2017 21:03

Hello Viroids! Newbie to MN, thankful of finding this thread. All the other ones are a bit scary so far! Yes to all the good old fashioned shagging! Smile

teaandshortbread · 16/07/2017 22:55

LG93 · 17/07/2017 21:27

8/9 dpo and I'm getting twitchy wanting to poas as hubby working late and I'm bored Blush someone please remind me it's too early!!

FuzzyOwl · 17/07/2017 22:27

Depends what type of test you have in, LG93, as a FRER might not be too early to use...

LG93 · 18/07/2017 07:46

They're just cheap ones so I doubt they'd pick anything up yet. Feel calmer today... it doesn't help that I'm still waiting for results from my last uni exam so there's so much unknown and anxiety!! Will focus on exam results this week and the weekend will be here before I know it!

BlueSky1980 · 18/07/2017 18:24

I'm right with you LG93!..I'm approx 8/9 dpo today & am soooo impatient!

justtheonethen · 18/07/2017 18:38

Er......hooyahs all round! Don't waste the money! Wait until you're due/late.

LG93 · 18/07/2017 19:11

I've seen sense today and will wait Grin

justtheonethen · 18/07/2017 19:13
Halo
one2three4five · 19/07/2017 00:19

Ah shit, I'm out Angry Fuck you AF, FUCK YOU.

Two days before expected though, so that's nice at least, I hadn't even started symptom spotting yet!

MonaTheMoaner · 19/07/2017 00:39

Checking in.

Age: 28
DC's 9 & 6

Just came off Nexplanon Monday morning. Waiting (impatiently) for DH to get back from a work trip so I can shag him and get this show on the road. No idea if/when I'm ovulating as I haven't had a proper period in 6 years. I'm a bit wank with all this TTC stuff.

choochooo · 19/07/2017 08:30

Hi everyone! Hi newbies!

Hooyah to the early testers!

Not good here - have had a bit of a rubbish week. Broke down at work on boss and then on GP. Been referred for counselling. I'm at the hospital just now having more blood tests to start the RMC investigation.

Referral came through yesterday for RMC and it's end of September which is much earlier than expected so I'm relieved. I'm going to mums tomorrow for a rest because GP has signed me off.

It just feels like everyone is fucking pregnant. Nursery run - all the mums are pregnant, Facebook announcements coming out of my ears, etc. I just don't want to see them. I need to not see them for a bit. If just reminds me of how unlucky I am and how unfair this process is.

Anyway. So we are not shagging yet as we are taking a cycle off. It's nice to not worry about it. I'm still temping so I can watch what my cycle is doing as I need to check it's settling down and be able to tell them my ovulation date and cycle length.

It'll be first month this year I'll not be pregnant!

Hope you're all ok.

choochooo · 19/07/2017 08:32

One boo to the bitch witch!

Fuzzy how are you?

Elbi have you poas yet?

FuzzyOwl · 19/07/2017 08:41

Glad you are getting counselling choo. Hope some time with your mum helps and a simple and easy to rectify reason for the miscarriages is found.

Elbi · 19/07/2017 10:44

Hello newbies!

Choo counselling sounds like a good plan. I've been seeing a therapist all through the medical journey it's taken me to get to the point of TTC and she has been invaluable.

Elbi · 19/07/2017 10:47

And yes I did poas and am (currently at least) officially upduffed Smile If this one sticks maybe I'll call it Costa...

Am halfway between joy and fear! I know I'm high risk for mc so trying not to get too invested this early.

stumblymonkeyagain · 19/07/2017 11:24

Congrats Elbi, all gx crossed that you have a very sticky bean...the stickiest of beans...

FuzzyOwl · 19/07/2017 11:30

Congratulations Elbi. Gx.

MonaTheMoaner · 19/07/2017 12:11

I'm so sorry you're going through this choo. It feels like everyone and their dog is pregnant right now and I can't imagine how hard that is to watch.

LG93 · 19/07/2017 12:26

I'm really sorry you're having a hard time @choochooo, hopefully the counselling helps you.

Huge congrats @Elbi , gx for you that it's a sticky one!

Hello to all the other newbies. Xx

Welcome newbies Smile

Glad to hear you've got some time off and have been referred for counselling choo, and that's good news about the September appointment.

Sorry the witch got you one

Fantastic news elbi, I'm not remotely surprised! Head over to the grads thread and say hi, quite a few in the first trimester there.

I did wonder @MonaTheMoaner. You should be able to click on it and report to MN so they can remove it. Smile
