Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Hi Viroids! Mind if I join in?

Name: MrsW
Age: 40
DC: 0 ttc for around 16 months BFP end of Oct '16 but ended in MC at 9 weeks gutted Back to actively TTC now

Not 100% on the lingo as brand spanking new, but I'll try!

Just into TWOT for this month...so trying not to think too much about it, but failing miserably.

coribeth · 27/06/2017 22:23

stumblymonkeyagain · 28/06/2017 20:08

Well we weren't supposed to be trying at all, so we'll go back to not trying again as about to book an amazing honeymoon and I'd be beyond peeved to miss it. So I'm sort of a one month comeback queen to the JS board if AF comes.

I'm not due to see AF until next Weds but my boobs have been aching like mofo's for three or four days now Confused

coribeth · 28/06/2017 22:01

oooh where is the honeymoon to stumbly?
Well completed (after four attempts) our first set of adoption forms what a ball ache its starting to make ttc for five years look like a walk in the park! Ah well keep telling myself it'll be worth it in the end
Had completely shit day today rang df at lunch was so fed up and when I got home he took me out for a Lovely meal to cheer me up what a star feeling much better (and very full!) Now!! Grin

justtheonethen · 29/06/2017 02:59

cori . So how far in the process are you? What happens next?

justtheonethen · 29/06/2017 03:00

Where is @kwick?

FuzzyOwl · 29/06/2017 11:47

Hi @MrsW76

Come back @Kwick

For the first time I am feeling really sad about my mc today. Possibly because I now have a negative test and it makes it more real in my mind. Or maybe it is just the change in my hormones. I don't know but I am determined to conceive again in the next couple of months. No idea when ovulation is due as this is a WTF cycle and I am just getting over thrush following the miscarriage so not really feeling in the shagging mood.

justtheonethen · 29/06/2017 12:10

fuzzy Sad. Be kind to yourself lovely. Life is rotten Flowers

FuzzyOwl · 29/06/2017 17:58

Thanks just I'll be ok. Just having a woe is me day.

Squidge123456 · 29/06/2017 20:21

Hi viroids,

I've been loitering for a bit so thought I should be brave and join the party.

Name: Squidge
Age: 39
DC is 3
TTC no2 since Feb. MC at 6 weeks in March.
Feeling like age isn't on my side and after my MC it might not happen, woe is me and all that!

Squidge123456 · 29/06/2017 20:23

Feeling your pain fuzzy.

FuzzyOwl · 29/06/2017 20:38

Hi Squidge and thank you. I'm only a few months younger so understand your concerns. Pretty sure it will happen for us; we just need to keep going.

Squidge123456 · 29/06/2017 20:58

Thanks Fuzzy. Big gx!

MrsW76 · 29/06/2017 21:26

Hi Fuzzy, I know what you mean. It's been 6 months since my MC but I still dwell on it at times. Mostly I don't but some days, I just need to 'feel it'.

And it took a few months for things to settle down. I had some months following the MC were I thought I was pregnant again, but had neg tests (5 tests on one cycle where I was at 31 days - AF came the next day - it was a relief tbh as I was driving myself crazy) but it was just my body settling back down again. I'm now back to regular 28-29 days. So it can take time, but it will settle.

We decided to have a break for a bit after the MC and are only really getting back into 'actively' TTC.

I know it's hard to not feel desperate but take the time to be kind to yourself.

Hugs

MrsW76 · 29/06/2017 21:29

Hi Squidge

I'm 40 ... 41 in October. I worry about my age too...but there are lots of older mums out there, from all walks of life, so it's certainly possible!!

I don't know if I'll get pregnant again since my MC in December, but I'll keep trying!

Squidge123456 · 29/06/2017 22:40

Big gx to you too Mrs.

I know I should be grateful that I even have one wonderful DC. It's strange because at the time the MC didn't hit me that hard but as time goes on I'm feeling sadder and sadder about it.

Oh well let's just keep JS'ing and hope for the best! You are right about older mums, I certainly know a few!

justtheonethen · 02/07/2017 05:28

Newbies! Hurrah!

Well it's OTD today and I'm more pregnant than I was Monday Smile. Phew!
Can't actually believe that after 3 years I'm finally pregnant!

Let's get this shaggathon on the road! We are breaking out the buzzy friends, lubeing up our fanjo's and prepping the men! Let's make a baby the old fashioned way! It's only f**king JS'ing 63!
NovaArt3mis · 02/07/2017 05:31

"More pregnant" I love it. So pleased for you just

FuzzyOwl · 02/07/2017 19:22

Thanks Mrs and gx for you.

Oh just that is lovely to see! Other than excitement and disbelief, how are you feeling?

justtheonethen · 02/07/2017 19:28

Fucking dreadful Sad. Really hope I feel better soon. Shouldn't moan though Smile

coribeth · 02/07/2017 19:38

I'm so so pleased for you just xx
We are just at the start of the adoption journey really although we had our first home visit in April I am not a patient person and its killing me cos everything seems to take an eternity finding myself on the phone to sw more and more trying to speed things along! Just keep telling myself it'll be worth the wait! Smile

justtheonethen · 02/07/2017 19:41

Absolutely cori, it has to take a while I guess, you're being given such a gift so it has to be right. I would be dying with impatience too though!
