Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Welcome newbies!
I have no idea how 38 weeks happened. Eh??? You tell me I have to give birth?!? Grin

FuzzyOwl · 22/06/2017 22:28

Sorry to hear that Justwaitingforaline. I hope you get some answers following your blood tests. I thought conceiving was the problem with PCOS rather than miscarriages but hopefully something can be done to help you.

Elbi · 25/06/2017 10:46

Hope your test results were useful justwaiting Flowers

Twot for me now... much more rejected about it this time though which can only help.

*relaxed !! Being rejected would NOT be helpful Grin And to top it off MN printed it twice....

ScienceGeekGirl · 26/06/2017 09:44

First cycle and it's all come back to me how hard it is to find the time to actually TTC. With DH shift patterns I'll be lucky to hit fertile time more than once or twice. Gah so wish he worked normal person hours

justtheonethen · 26/06/2017 13:55

Just going to leave this here Smile

Tested early at 5dp5dt but I just knew. Fingers crossed it sticks!

Brilliant news just

KateRosanne · 26/06/2017 21:21

Hello all!

I'm BRAND NEW. Im just gonna go ahead and admit that I'm nervous and intimidated by all the lingo and camraderie but this thread caught my eye.

I'm TTC for the first time, 30 yrs old, been trying for a couple months. I'm not a fan of all the kits and charts and sorcery involved in figuring out the best exact second to bone, we've just been doing it a lot when i predict I'm ovulating based on my cycle.

Anyway hello and sorry I don't know the lingo, please don't be too hard on a newbie! 🙈

FuzzyOwl · 26/06/2017 21:29

Hi Kate.

KateRosanne · 26/06/2017 21:39

Hi Fuzzy Owl! (Sorry I don't know how to mention peeps!)

stumblymonkeyagain · 26/06/2017 21:54

Ola viroids!

I'm not really a newbie as I was on and off here last year. We tried for four or five months and then stopped as I was made redundant.

So I recognise some names @corgi88 ...a 38 week old Corgilet! Amazing!

But where is @kwick? I tracked the fred back and she hasn't posted since May Sad

Anyway we are not reeeealllly supposed to be trying as we're getting wed in December and I've already bought a lovely dress that very much won't fit a bump and about to book an amazing honeymoon for next May that would have to be cancelled.

But...we went on hols two weeks ago and ended up JS'ing with no protection so....TWOT it is!

Breasts feeling super sore. Would be the absolute law of sod if I was pregnant now with the silly timing Blush

stumblymonkeyagain · 26/06/2017 21:56

Oh and stats:

Name: stumblymonkey
Age: 34
DC: Zero, but four DCats
TTC: Five months last year with possible chemical. Not really trying at the moment but could be accidental cycle 1 Sod's law of a kitten.

stumblymonkeyagain · 26/06/2017 21:58

Hello @KateRosanne

We were all new once and we're very friendly

@justtheonethen....I think we were on the Fred together last year too if you are the same Just? Congrats on the embie and gx it's sticky!

KateRosanne · 26/06/2017 22:03

Hello @stumblymonkeyagain thanks for the welcome!

stumblymonkeyagain · 26/06/2017 22:12

Have you been TTC for long Kate?

KateRosanne · 26/06/2017 22:25

@stumblymonkeyagain we've been TTC for a couple months so it's super early days yet. We are being really chill about it and not stressing ourselves out with all the faff. I'm sure I'll be a little less chill the longer it takes! 😂
