Does anyone else use there heart rate monitor on there Fitbit to monitor when they have ovulated? Saw a post on here recently where someone was but can't find it now. Been reading up on it thought it would be interesting to see how many of you guys did?

I started off gentle... with a 5k race having only ever done about 3 weeks of training 6 months ago!!!
After realising how completely unfit I am and finding out that the gym literally right next door to work does lunchtime classes, I realised I had no excuses really. Thankfully, one of the classes is a nice 30 minute pilates session. Much more pleasant than the core class of hell, or the body pump which still hurts 4 days later. I go with another woman too, so we put things into our diaries and have a responsibility to each other to go (and stay the length of the class)
You can definitely beat those other ones on fitbit. I need that competitiveness to keep going.
I also went for reflexology on day 15, so I wonder if that made any difference too.

I really want to try Pilates, it looks great!

I just got that C25K app on my phone so I intend on starting it soon, whenever soon is 😂

HolyShmoly · 23/09/2017 08:39

Oh do try Pilates, it's great. It's worth going to a more expensive studio to start off with, ime, so you'll learn the basics right. Then you can go to to a normal priced one. Well that's what I ended up doing.

micropig · 23/09/2017 09:20

Thanks for the advice! I'll have a look and see if there's anywhere near me that does it!

juneybean · 24/09/2017 09:58

How are we all doing?

I'm 10dpo with bfn but resting heart rate is up. But general checking of current heart rate bobs between 59 and 80 ish. I wonder if any one who ended up pregnant experience low heart rate during the day?

BabyKangaroo90 · 24/09/2017 12:08

Here is my latest...orange circle is when AF arrived, red circle is peak day. Slightly worried that my luteal phase is too short as AF due again on the first so that's only 8 days? X

juneybean · 24/09/2017 14:14

That's a very short luteal phase! Have you tried any home remedies to extend it?

BabyKangaroo90 · 24/09/2017 15:34

Juney I don't know of any? Are there any you would recommend? Do you think I don't have much chance then with it being that short? X

juneybean · 24/09/2017 15:44

I'm not really sure to be honest, I guess it must be possible. I use evening primrose oil from day 1 until ovulation as that helps to regulate a cycle.

juneybean · 24/09/2017 15:55

Not sure whether to be excited about this rise or not. My temps have been flat since ovulation so not even sure if I did ovulated I'm 10dpo.

HolyShmoly · 24/09/2017 17:32

Oh god, that could easily go either way Juney. Are you due to test on Thursday?

HolyShmoly · 24/09/2017 17:36

Bambino, that does seem short but I don't know what to suggest! I'm sure if you google it you'll find some suggestions.

micropig · 24/09/2017 22:39

Good luck juney! Hopefully it's a good sign.

I'm still on the AF slump RHR wise. Really not expecting anything this month as I'm away for so much of it but we'll see. I'd at least like to figure out when I ovulate.

HolyShmoly · 26/09/2017 10:51

Hmm, my rhr dropped quite a bit yesterday at 6dpo but seems to be clibong again today. Possible explanation is that yesterday was the first day in a while that I wasn't in pain from exercise and this morning I've been in a flap! I'm still hopeful though...

Merrz · 26/09/2017 11:42

Wow this really works!
The lowest point is 1st day of my period then the raised HR and stays raised for almost a week ties in with high readings on opks.

Merrz · 26/09/2017 11:46

I'm guessing the dip after fertile window probably means no BFP for me this month 😔

HolyShmoly · 26/09/2017 15:12

@merrz I seem to dip at ovulation, so I wouldn't count you as out by any means. If you have a few months of data it should be easier to see what you normally do.

Merrz · 26/09/2017 16:45

Oh ok, the month before seems similar although not so sudden peak and dip. Time will tell I guess. This is a good extra check to see when you're ovulating though, definitley going to keep watching.

HolyShmoly · 26/09/2017 20:56

Here's mine so far. I've layered the months that I have data for to try and spot trends (and cause I'm a geek.) Purple is this month.
Ideally the only way is up from here, with yesterday's dip being implantation. Only 5 more sleeps till I poas (4 days early...)

Just sharing this cool feature I've discovered in fertility friend - you can plot resting HR against bbt really easy

juneybean · 27/09/2017 14:04

Got my period here!

Bsclp · 27/09/2017 15:20

:-( Fingers crossed for next cycle juneybean. I'm waiting for ovulation, which could be a while given how irregular I am....

HolyShmoly · 27/09/2017 18:39

Sorry to hear that Juney. Fingers crossed for next month. X

micropig · 28/09/2017 10:23

Sorry to hear that Juney!

My AF has just finished, so now just waiting around for ovulation lol.

BabyKangaroo90 · 28/09/2017 23:03

Sorry to hear thAt juney. Mine looks like it could go either way at the moment! So not getting my hopes up just yet 😕 🤞
