Does anyone else use there heart rate monitor on there Fitbit to monitor when they have ovulated? Saw a post on here recently where someone was but can't find it now. Been reading up on it thought it would be interesting to see how many of you guys did?

Hello you lot!

Feeling a lot better today, and interestingly my RHR has shot up too. No sign of AF yet so I guess I'm not out till she arrives but I'm not hopeful this month, or next month as I won't be near DH for much of it!

Any news intelligent?

I caved. It was all getting too much. But I think it's negative. ;( just did the test and not much urine and middle of day. So hoping it's wrong.
Bought a 2 pack so maybe try again Tuesday morning if no sign of af...
I was doubtful it was this month as I think I ovulated from wrong side (I have lost 1 Fallopian tube).
Anyhow. Keeping fingers crossed.

Interesting that your RHR is back up @micropig could still be possible. Fx

micropig · 17/09/2017 12:48

Intelligent hopefully it's a false negative and you get BFP on Tuesday!

intelligentPutty · 17/09/2017 16:14

I think af is on way.

intelligentPutty · 17/09/2017 19:28

Yep. The red stuff has arrived.
I am taking from this to not use the Fitbit as a guide. Never again.
Good luck to the rest of you all. I am starting to have enough of all this now.

HolyShmoly · 17/09/2017 19:55

Ah fuck.
Yeah I think I'll use it for ovulation checking, alongside telling from next month, and not pregnancy prediction.

micropig · 18/09/2017 13:33

Awch sorry to hear AF has arrived :(

No sign of mine yet, but not due till tomorrow anyway. Feeling a bit sick again today, think I'm coming down with something. I have been working 7 day weeks for months with only a few days off, so it's about time to be honest!

juneybean · 18/09/2017 13:52

Yeah I learnt a few months ago it's shite for pregnancy detection!!! Mine this month is being very weird but I'm only 4dpo....I hope as I'm fucked if I've ovulated later

intelligentPutty · 18/09/2017 18:25

Ah micro. Sounds like you really need a break.
And @juneybean yes it's a nightmare. I hope that you are 4dpo as u thought.
I'm so annoyed I let myself get so at it this month. I should know it was not tge right month as ov pain was on wrong side. But there always that little hope! ;(

X

juneybean · 18/09/2017 18:42

@intelligentPutty - I'm not sure if we spoken before but when I was first TTC I was on a thread with a woman with one fallopian tube and her other tube swooped over to catch the egg from the "wrong" ovary and she ended up conceiving xx

micropig · 18/09/2017 19:38

Juney wow that's amazing! I had no idea they could do that!

intelligentPutty · 18/09/2017 19:53

Hi @juneybean yes. We have spoken before I think. I remember that and even the nurses at the hospital told me about that when I was in hospital afterwards.
But when I research it seems like quite a small chance and so I really try not to get my hopes up when I think I'm on a month on that side.
I was so prepared to not even expect anything and the RHR this month really made me think there was that chance.
I am just in self pitying mode and I know that I have it pretty good. But I'm still not enjoying this process. I'm getting older every month.
When I thought there was a small chance this month I was suddenly starting to worry about losing it. I've lost 2 babies in the last year and a half (however early or unviable) and so now not only getting pg but staying so is worrying me.

I don't want to moan on and juneybean I really really cannot wait to see that post from you soon saying u get a BFP. I have seen you in various posts for a few months and my thoughts are with you.

This is probably not the right place for this post so I should sign off now.
Time for some chocolate!! Wine

intelligentPutty · 18/09/2017 19:54

@micropig yes I was amazed. Apparently they way we see them in all the diagrams from school is when they are laid out flat and anatomically they are really right next to each other. And the Fallopian tubes not attached to the ovaries.
Not that it seems to help!!

juneybean · 18/09/2017 21:17

Aw thank you @intelligentPutty much love to you, it's a frustrating journey!! Xx

HolyShmoly · 18/09/2017 21:52

I'm really sorry Intelligent. I feel like I was encouraging you to get excited too, so sorry about that. It's a fucking rollercoaster.
Juney, fingers crossed that you ovulated on the right day. I know it's so much more important for you to get the exact timing right.
It looks like I'm on a pre-o spike at the moment, which ties in with my expected dates - one app is showing 19th and another shows the 21st, OPKs are fairly strong and I had ewcm over the weekend.

juneybean · 18/09/2017 22:08

Hope you're shagging lots!

What do we make of my heart rate? It was usually up and down but the pay well it's been so flat? I'm wondering if the acupuncture has chilled me out...

HolyShmoly · 18/09/2017 22:23

So did yours level off just after ovulation? What was the big dip, was it your period?

Yeah, doing plenty of shagging. I've just started exercising recently and did a body pump class this afternoon. I had to text dh after to let him know he'll have to do all the work tonight as I just don't have the energy left!

juneybean · 18/09/2017 22:34

The first steep dip is my period, I'm 4 dpo so it reached 61 the day of ovulation and has stayed like that since. But looking back I usually have a bigger rise maybe up to 63. Here's last month's with the stick over last ovulation. So you can see usually is very erratic!

intelligentPutty · 18/09/2017 22:50

Hey @HolyShmoly Not at all I was getting myself at it. Don't feel bad. Glad to see it sounds like u are ov soon. Hope you are dtd lots and will be on course for next month.
@juneybean no idea what that chart means!! Hopefully that you were a little lower and so at ov time a few days ago! Have u compared it to similar cycle days in previous months?

micropig · 19/09/2017 06:21

Juney you're not alone with the long stable RHR, that's what happened to mines this month too as you can see from my chart here.

AF was due today (Day 35) as I usually have a consistent 35 day cycle, but last month it unusually didn't come till day 40 so I'm not getting my hopes up. Might buy a test today to do tomorrow if I still haven't had any of the usual signs.

juneybean · 19/09/2017 06:42

Yours looks really promising @micropig !

micropig · 19/09/2017 07:18

Juney I thought that yesterday but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Sorry for TMI but I was partially constipated since Thursday (can't speak for today yet), having never been constipated in my life before, and almost permanently nauseous since Friday (again don't know today yet) apart from when in bed.

Today I am quite sniffly so I think perhaps I am just totally run down and coming down with something.

We'll see what happens anyway. I was super broody yesterday then quite down in the evening about it. I don't want to get my hopes up too much as last months unexpected 40 day cycle was horrible. If it's 40 days again, then AF won't arrive till Monday. 40 days! I thought 35 was bad.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the long cycles before TTC but now I'm super jealous of those with nice short ones. 😂😩

BabyKangaroo90 · 19/09/2017 07:18

Interested to know what you make of this? The 8th was when AF arrived...so could the 16th be ovulation? I am yet to get a peak day and didn't get one last month either?? What are your thoughts? The 6th one down on the ovulation sticks would have been Saturday the 16th xx

micropig · 19/09/2017 07:21

Oh, and Glow now thinks I ovulated somewhere between the 2nd and the 8th, which is the two longish flat areas similar to your chart juney.

micropig · 19/09/2017 07:24

Bambino I've only been doing this one month so afraid I couldn't say. Fingers crossed for you! Do you have any previous charts to compare it with?
