Does anyone else use there heart rate monitor on there Fitbit to monitor when they have ovulated? Saw a post on here recently where someone was but can't find it now. Been reading up on it thought it would be interesting to see how many of you guys did?

Anybody still here?

HolyShmoly · 01/09/2017 17:14

I am Geri. Has yours continued rising?

gerriberry · 01/09/2017 17:17

Hi HolyShmoly, yes it's gone up again today by 1 more. I'm 7dpo now! (Ovulation was 25th Aug!) Convinced I'm a bit nauseaus today and yesterday but I could be imaging that (wishful thinking!!)

Hey! Here is my chart - staying high but zigzagging between 67 and 68 and definitely pregnant. FX for you x

AlexsMum89 · 01/09/2017 17:45

Forgot the actual chart haha

Thanks Alex. Fingers crossed. Really hoping that I'm not building myself up for a fall but it's never gone like this after ovulation before and I am still getting creamy CM xx

gerriberry · 03/09/2017 07:32

RHR took at dip by 1 yesterday but then shot by up by 2 again today so currently at 71bpm. (This is definitely the highest it's ever been!) POAS this morning and got BFN but still not due AF until Friday so another 5 days and I'm always regular!!

HolyShmoly · 04/09/2017 14:26

Fx Gerri.

gerriberry · 05/09/2017 07:03

Thanks @Holysmoley, got a BFN this morning at 11dpo but my rhr is still sitting at 69bpm (3 higher than pre ovulation) so I don't know what's going on with it!!!

HolyShmoly · 05/09/2017 08:43

Are you going to test every morning or hold off until Friday?

juneybean · 05/09/2017 09:06

My rhr always goes up following ovulation in line with my temperature going up. It can go from 58 to 63 some months. But then starts to got back down towards AF coming

gerriberry · 05/09/2017 11:11

Hold off until Friday now @HomySmoly!!

@Juneybean. This is the first month mine has done this!! Back in may it went up for about 2 days but then dropped again!!

gerriberry · 07/09/2017 06:50

Update. Temperature started dropping two days ago and AF has arrived this morning so Fitbit theory didn't work for me 😢

HolyShmoly · 07/09/2017 20:05

Ah I'm sorry @Gerriberry

I wonder if it's just useful if you're late af and poas gives negative? Otherwise it just seems to give some false hope!

I'm still adding mine to a chart to keep an eye on ovulation as much as anything.

Bsclp · 10/09/2017 06:14

Hi,

I'm 10dpo and my HR is 73bpm, the highest it's ever been since January. Keeping my fingers crossed but I got a FRER BFN this morning :-(

HolyShmoly · 10/09/2017 12:57

When is AF due Bsclp?

Bsclp · 10/09/2017 14:12

Not until next Saturday - usually starts 15dpo...

HolyShmoly · 10/09/2017 14:16

It's looking good but I wouldn't pin my hopes on it too much yet as quite a few of us have had our bpm rise and then crash a couple days before AF. I don't mean to piss on your chips, but just want to be realistic so you don't get too excited and then get a horrible surprise.

Bsclp · 10/09/2017 14:20

Nah that's good thanks - was starting to get my hopes up way too much. I'm trying to be realistic with the BFN FRER it's unlikely. G'agghhh only on my second month ttc and had enough of the 2ww already!

Fitbit actually adjusted my resting HR to 74 later in the morning which is weird too!

Bsclp · 12/09/2017 06:59

12dpo and heart rate still rising and a temp spike this morning.

But I got a bfn on a FRER this morning so think I'm out this month, I guess I'm getting a cold or something?

I wouldn't count yourself out just yet. Try testing again on Thursday?

Hello. I got a Fitbit Charge2 last month and am TTC so very glad to find this thread. We have been having unprotected sex for months with no luck (not often DTD around ovulation according to Glow though). This month we chatted about it and decided to start aiming to DTD loads when Glow says I'm ovulating, but we only decided that on the last expected day of ovulation so now I have a week before AF due to wait till the month we officially start actively TTC.

Anyway will be interesting to see how my heart rate is affected by my cycle. I am loving all the things the Fitbit does (just wish I had more people on it for competition lol). I can't see an obvious trend yet but I only got it last month so we will see what happens.

Will see if these pics work... first is last month, second this month and third is what Glow has to say on the matter.

Well realistically I'm going to test again, but my hopes are realistic that it's unlikely at this point :-)

Micro pig - I haven't heard of glow does it use CM observations or anything to predict your ovulation date? If it's just basing your ovulation date on your cycle dates it may not be that accurate.

I'm a bit of a compulsive data tracker so I've been taking my bbt, OPKs and CM observations on the fertility friend app.

The app then pinpoints ovulation based on the data entered. Attached my fertility friend screen shot so you can see how it works. Might not be your thing - I have to track though as my cycle is all over the place.

I think using Fitbit to confirm O is still a bit of a guessing game so it might we worth looking at if you've had no look in a few cycles :-) x

Can you tell I'm supposed to be doing housework then going to work? Lol. Here is a consolidated graph of the two months of Fitbit and the data from Glow (which I've been using for a few months so fairly accurate on AF, no idea about ovulation times).

Pink is AF, blue is predicted ovulation. The day that Glow predicted me being most fertile is one of the 68bpm days and as you can see it seems to be higher today than it was even at the start of the predicted ovulation time.

I suppose I won't know what's normal for me for s few months.

Bsclp thanks for the info. Good luck with the test. You never know!

DH doesn't want to make TTC stressful so doesn't want to do anything other than DTD lots around a possible ovulation window. He's going to think I'm making it stressful by looking at heart rate haha, but it's so interesting.

Glow can predict using various things like CM and BBT but I haven't used those yet, so I realise it's not hugely accurate. We will see after a few months if we want to try any other techniques.
