Hi all, and hi parney. Wow time has gone fast - 6 months already! Is a good age.. and hopefully you get lots of sleep now x

So still no af, but a bfn too. I don't know, think I'm not ovulating so going to see if I can get an appt to see gp again. Not very hopeful.
Had some pink cm again yesterday! Weird.
I'm sure it's stress the cause..

Footy1 · 06/06/2017 06:20

Sorry Tee AF got you Flowers would it be worth getting another blood test organised? To see what your progesterone levels are?

Tee4me · 06/06/2017 10:21

Footy weren't you seeing a specialist who prescribed the Clomid and Metformin? I would have thought once you're on this medication you would have regular reviews to see if it's helping? Sorry if you've already explained before, my memory gets jumbled up with everybody's stories!
Kate how did you get on changing your appointment?

I finally got through to this specialist I've been talking about, his next appointment is 6th July! Seems a long wait but not surprising after he was in a national newspaper last week, and he is the sole Consultant at the clinic and very much in demand for his specialist knowledge in reproductive immunology. She assured me once I'm 'in', there is quicker access to appointments; I've already booked my follow up on 20th July and she said I would almost certainly be sent for tests during that initial consultation. The timing actually is quite good, potentially start of cycle 20, gives me 1 more full cycle of trying naturally with acupuncture, and on the tiny off chance I did fall, I would still want to see him to discuss preventing miscarriage.

Jamon · 06/06/2017 13:23

Sorry tee, I'm on cycle 19 too. Your plan sounds good though. Looking forward to hearing about this specialist and what they have to say!

Hope it's a BFP hiding footy

physicskate · 06/06/2017 18:06

Haven't been able to get ahold of them!! Grrr!! But it looks as though they're treating me as an NHS patient... so I'm ok with that, I think ???

Cycle 13 but this makes 15 months ttc. I hate my long cycles...

DuRezidal · 07/06/2017 06:37

Just a little update as I have been missing for a while.

I am now 17 weeks pregnant and all was going well until Thursday afternoon when I fell in the field, resulting in a dislocated ankle which was also fractured in two places and an open fracture to my fibia!

I had emergency surgery on the ankle and leg on Sunday evening and was finally allowed home last night.

I am currently in morphine and hoping to reduce this after the initial two week period if all goes well.

physicskate · 07/06/2017 06:44

Holy shit that's insane!!! Take care of yourself! I can imagine this means you are a bit immobile... how long is the projected recovery??? Anything you need??

Parney · 07/06/2017 23:29

I know Kate it feels like yesterday to me too!
AF came back today which was odd. I BF exclusively until 6 months so it must have been the introduction of solids 2 weeks ago that brought the witch back!
Oh no DuRez that's terrible! Speedy recovery for you hopefully!
Hi Tee and Footy! How are your children? Counting down to summer I'd imagine! July 6th will swing round quickly Tee, sounds like it will be worth it. Fingers crossed!

Tee4me · 08/06/2017 07:36

Ouch hope you make a speedy recovery DuRez!
That's definitely a result if they treat you as NHS Kate! Might be slower moving overall but will save you a lot of cash. I've been looking at the prices for my follow up appointments and tests and it's not pretty!!
My twin has still not seen AF either Parney and has managed to exclusively BF too. My DS is great thanks, looking forward to starting school in September. He's approaching 5 and getting much more independent.

Peregrane · 08/06/2017 13:49

Hi everyone! Is this the right thread for someone TTC for a second child with a partner who doesn't actually live in the same country?

Age 36
cycle 6
TTC #2

DC1 is nearly 4 and now that he lets me sleep and feel human, the best thing in our lives. We so want another DC.

DH works in another country, so he is frequently away, which is not helping. We've managed to see each other at least once each time before ovulation, but no luck so far.

I've not managed to chart temps as DC1 sleeps in my bed and I don't want to explain to him what I'm doing (and then have him chatter about it to his grandparents etc) when he inevitably wakes up before me. I've been tracking my CM which is bringing up some really strange patterns and making me think I might be ovulating much too soon... but my cycle length has remained the same Confused

Also thinking about a fertility specialist now, DH is even older than I am, but with his cross-border work situation our healthcare arrangements are also messed up...

He has had to unexpectedly travel to see an ailing family member in a third country, and will be back for a busy 24 hours before he sets off for work... meanwhile I am on CD8 and looking at yet another month when we can probably only have sex once while (if) I am fertile :(

Tee4me · 10/06/2017 09:58

Welcome Peregrane, the thread is open to all TTC! Sounds like you have a pretty tricky situation going on; I would definitely suggest introducing more methods to determine ovulation. I use the cheap sticks from Amazon. At least then you can narrow your fertile window down to a couple of days when you really need to be DTD. My CM varies a lot each month, but the sticks generally point to CD13 ovulation. I often see EWCM in the 2ww.
Did you fall quite quickly with DC1?

Jamon · 10/06/2017 10:28

Checking in to see how you're doing girls. I think I'm 1 DPO. DH has been a complete pain in the arse but we've had sex daily so it's been worth hassling him.

Tee4me · 10/06/2017 10:53

Well done Jam! It's so horrible when you have to hassle them for DTD isn't it?! Like walking on egg shells, don't want to be blatant but know you really need to nail it! When my DH switches off he's gone, there's nothing I can do to hassle him into it, it just makes him pull away more, so it's good that your DH delivered at least!! I'm trying to be more relaxed and just DTD regularly over the next 2 weeks (CD6 today).
This is your first with Clomid right? Did it change when you think you ovulated or anything? Really hope that made a difference for you!
I've been doing a bit of Tai Chi this month (youtube) and trying to take time each day to concentrate on breathing. Also plan to sit out in the sun when I can x

physicskate · 10/06/2017 22:45

Welcome peregrane! That sounds a bit frustrating what with the international travel element! I've got nothing so dramatic and it still isn't working for me!

When I hassle DH too much he can't finish... but he gives it a good go!! (sorry if tmi).

I'm in fw. CD 16. So probably due ov in a few days... seriously bored with it all now. It's not funny. I'm not amused. But I'm more annoyed than sad these days.

physicskate · 11/06/2017 10:22

jamI'm starting to get why you spend less time in conception (you mentioned it a few months ago). I just joined the july bus. I feel it's going to be a mistake. They haven't been trying long and I know it's going to kill me when everyone else gets a bfp and not me...

But I don't really fit on infertility. I'm not infertile...? I've had (I think) two cp. And it's been 15 months, not years! I do have some perspective on this... Don't really belong anywhere but here!

physicskate · 12/06/2017 19:00

cd 18 - meant to get my positive opk... and it's negative. Pity party continues...

Sad to see this thread dying a death...

Tee4me · 12/06/2017 19:41

I know Kate I was thinking the same! I started the thread in March last year, and we've seen plenty of bfps and success stories since, but for those of us left it seems the momentum and energy is at an all time low, hardly surprising!!
I just don't have the enthusiasm for other new threads, just feel like I'm repeating myself.
Had my 4th acupuncture session today and I really feel it could be helping me. I'm starting to really relax in the sessions.
I will still be coming back here look out for updates and still up for chatting for anyone else who will still be hanging around.
When you say negative opk, is that no line at all, or just faint?? Do you test around 2pm (apparently the optimum time to catch the peak)?

physicskate · 12/06/2017 19:48

Faint.. same as the last two days. Tested at 6pm as no way could I test while at work!! I normally have positives for about 24 hours... so always catch it on the way up or down.

I'm thinking about acupuncture over the summer. Need to get in shape now that weigh it is a bit better (I've lost a stone in the last two months!).

I too can't face new thread...

Jamon · 12/06/2017 20:05

Hi girls I'm still here xx

Glad acupuncture is helping tee it makes me think I should do it again, it is so relaxing. You wouldn't think needles could be so relaxing?!!

Kate hope you get your positive soon and that your oh is on board with plenty of DTD

I've downloaded an app called Grateful and am planning to note down a few things each day I am grateful for. I don't want to let infertility make me totally bitter and resentful old cow 🐮

Tee4me · 12/06/2017 20:14

Go for it girls with the acupuncture if budget allows. I did fall in Autumn last year after a couple of cycles doing it (I just regret giving up in pregnancy - won't make that mistake again). This lady is even better than the last guy, she has such a lovely approach and is really working to improve my overall wellbeing. She also recommended Tai Chi for exercise, which I have really enjoyed (just using YouTube). Jam I love the idea of acknowledging all the things we should be grateful for; I have so much to be thankful for, must stop moping!!

physicskate · 12/06/2017 20:38

I'd only be able to do acupuncture during school holidays... so not sure if that is worth it? In terms of - will that provide any benefit?? The lady near me seems good (she's a former midwife) but is pretty picky about her hours!

Tee4me · 12/06/2017 20:54

Hmmm yeah my lady recommended once a week for the first x6 sessions. Wonder if you could find someone who could offer a regular weekend slot 🤔

Russkispy · 13/06/2017 09:31

Here I am with my little Babi Sasha! She was born on Friday morning and weighed 3.6kg and 56cm long! I had a planned CS so it all went very well, very surreal and emotional! My recovery is going well and I'm whizzing through the night feeds without any issues. Quite enjoy it!

Hope you're doing well and I'll carry on rooting for you!
