Jam, how you feeling?? AF due date??
CD12, Got my positive opk today, only DTD last Wednesday so far so definitely need to start getting busy! Plan was to keep going for longer this month anyway, so I'm open to seeing if this approach is better, despite the fact Ovia is telling me I've missed my peak fertile day. My friend got pregnant only DTD CD14&15.

Mimilicious013 · 20/05/2017 15:16

Hie ladies
Hope you are enjoying the weekend. Really hope the new trick works out for you tee.good luck on the sexathon Wink.how is your dd doing?

jam how is the tww going? When is test date? Rooting for your bfp after the hsg test.

foot did you finally ov? Hope all is well and the boys are fine.

kiki how are you doing hun? Have you done some shopping yet or started knitting?

I really am confused because l barely had a normal period .a few days of spotting but bfns too. what day should l count as cd1Hmm.will poas 1 more time tmrw just to put my mind at ease.

Waves @kate, @durez , @mama. Hope you are all okay.

Footy1 · 20/05/2017 19:19

That's odd Mimi if you have not had a proper bleed? Would be awesome if you announce a bfp.
Are you going to do anything different next cycle (if u get another)?
No still haven't ovulated I don't think? I did have some cramps on cd14 but just not sure? I've had lots of clear cm so really am unsure?

Kiki glad u are doing well. Are u finding out the sex?

Tee hope you get going on the dtd front! Really wish I could ovulate regularly.. Sad

Kate glad the job is going well. I find a lot of kids in schools can be very disrespectful and I really do feel for the poor teachers. Ttc takes over your life doesn't it? Every thought and what if's etc..
Kate/mama I too feeling a bit sad about ttc, as I'm putting in so much effort and not even ovulating so I really don't see the point.

Jam think u are wise to start on a low dose. Hope it works for you.

physicskate · 20/05/2017 19:30

Oh mimi good luck!!

Kiki18 · 20/05/2017 21:30

Fingers crossed for you Mimi hope it's a bfp on the way! We are so lucky we have been given lots of bits already so have started a list and crossing off as we go so we can shop nearer the time!

Thanks footy - yes we found out Weds we are having a little boy! How are you with the metformin now?
Xx

Tee4me · 20/05/2017 22:23

Ah how lovely Kiki, congrats on little man!!
Footy I must admit I feel grateful for predictable cycles; earliest I've ever noted ov is CD12 and latest CD14. Having said that, it does make me feel a little more anxious about why it's not happening, given that we have always DTD in FW.
Mim really hope this means something for you! I have a DS not a DD, he is all good thanks for asking! Not long til he starts school, was so hoping to have a baby to keep me company when he goes, oh well. Hope your little people are all ok x

Russkispy · 20/05/2017 23:12

DuRezidal · 21/05/2017 00:19

Just catching up on everyone's posts.

physicskate · 21/05/2017 10:34

I have to go to visit my sister in law's two week old baby and I'm tearing up at the thought of it. It's just because it happened right after my chemical (same with best friend who is due two weeks before last chemical would have been.

8 dpo so probably a bit hormonal from pms. Not at all hopeful for this cycle... considering bc to take a break. But also want to book fertility appt for July... don't know what to do. Feel like a right cow and absolute failure at the same time...

Congrats Russ! Beautiful painting!!

Londonjam · 21/05/2017 11:18

Everything crossed for you mimi

Sorry it's getting you down footy Sad

Congrats on a boy Kiki!!

Wow russ!

Kate sorry you're feeling so low. Can you try and take a mental break? Throw yourself into another project maybe a course or home improvement? I think it's so important to have distractions from TTC and feel you are fulfilling your life in other ways

I'm 10 DPO today, not much to report, the usual sore boobs and mood swings! Feeling more zen about TTC now, I have so little control over it. What will be will be.

DuRezidal · 21/05/2017 20:00

@physicskate what are you using to monitor your cycles?

physicskate · 21/05/2017 20:06

I was literally doing everything: cervical position and mucus, opks and bbt. This cycle just opks and everything else was stressing me out!

Jam I think I'm going to have to! Not sure what though as I live in the middle of nowhere (no classes to go to) and work takes up so much time. Tried to get into acupuncture but nearest is about an hours drive away with traffic, so don't have time for three hours of travel with appt. jam how are you keeping sane?

Never though I was type a, but maybe I am?? Hence not coping well when I have so little control...

Any new mimi?? She asks hopefully...

DuRezidal · 21/05/2017 20:11

Have you ever tried the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor? It takes out some of the guess work and reads the results so you don't have to try and interpret them.

Could be worth a go. I sold mine on eBay for not a lot of money.

physicskate · 21/05/2017 20:18

Cheapie opks have always been quite clear for me... I think I'd rather invest in fertility testing. Bbt has also always matched up well with the opks...

I'm just an ass and impatient! Not liking who this makes me. Plan: booking fertility clinic appt during half term...

DuRezidal · 21/05/2017 20:41

The Opks were clear for me but totally different in dates to the CBFM which I found really interesting. The Opks said I would ovulate say CD 12 and the CBFM would say CD14

physicskate · 21/05/2017 21:27

My dh did say we should keep going after ov, but he can't cum (sorry tmi) if the pressure's on or if we Dtd more than every other day... so I try to be very gentle about the info I give. I reckon he keeps his own calendar as he seems to have cottoned on by now...

Tee4me · 21/05/2017 21:28

That's interesting DuRez, I'm starting to wonder if I have been taking opk readings for granted... I always assume I ovulate the day after I see a peak, but perhaps it is a couple of days later? We generally stop DTD once we see the peak (through burn out/complacency).
CD13 today, got a peak opk yesterday and DTD x2... will baby dance again tonight and tomorrow.
If you can spare 20minutes for yourself today, lock yourself away, ensure no distractions and give this a listen. I'm feeling very calm/zen having just given it a go. All ready to kick of acupuncture from tomorrow.

Tee4me · 21/05/2017 23:32

Well that plan failed pretty quick... non compliant DH again. Why does he always reject me on ovulation day??! He actually couldn't give a toss... there's only so much commotion you can make, a hissy fit isn't exactly the biggest turn on so I just end up crying into my pillow 😫 I've always felt the days before ov are your most fertile, so I know there's still a chance, but I'm just gutted because that hasn't worked for us so far and I really wanted to push things back a bit. Hopefully he'll be on for tomorrow, but there's every chance that'll be a no too. So frustrating! Couldn't have been a better wife this weekend and keeping him as sweet as possible. Sorry for the rant but had to get this off my chest whilst he's snoring next to me 😤

Mimilicious013 · 22/05/2017 07:44

Massive hugs @tee.l have been in that situation ever so often so l feel your pain.why do men behave like that.fx you get him today.

Sending you hugs too @kate.lts so much harder when someone close to you has to share the news you have been hoping to share the past year.

Lovely bump @russ Smile

Sorry you are feeling down @foot , you don't need delayed ov on top of the stresses of ttcCake

Rooting for you @jam.just a few more days. Fx

No news here yet, went out of town and only just got back. Will dash to buy a test shortly. Was feeling quite sick yesterday but that could easily be wishful thinking.

Thanks @kiki, really wish the well wishes could magically turn my hpt positive 🙈

Londonjam · 22/05/2017 10:04

kate definitely get an appointment booked in. Getting investigations done / medical help is definitely helping me. Even getting my HSG done - I don't think it'll make any difference but just doing something helps break the feeling of groundhog day and makes me feel like we are getting closer. Has your OH had an SA? Does he take any supplements? I would recommend getting him on some if not. My DH takes proxeed which is expensive but has made a big difference to his count, motility and morphology.

Keeping busy / distracted / calm - do you go running or swimming or anything? Maybe a couch to 5k? Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube is brilliant for beginners and you can do it at home. The app Headspace is great for daily mindfulness - again highly recommended. In terms of something creative - how about a knitting project, or painting or something?

I know all we want is a baby but whilst we have this shit wait for it I think its so important to try and keep our minds and body as healthy as possible.

tee so sorry your OH was so rubbish :( it breaks my heart a bit to hear you so upset. Doing it on ovulation day isn't essential though - a lady on the TTC1 thread got her BFP last week and she had sex once about 4-5 days before O!

I'm 11 DPO today and feeling a bit less zen - I feel quite desperate to be pregnant today! No notable symptoms though and need to mentally prepare for AF or will be a mess.

Mimilicious013 · 22/05/2017 11:25

Hie jam , have everything crossed for you.

I got a clear bfn , and I am officially off ttc .rooting for you all lovely ladies .you have been so supportive and I just want to thank you for always being there and knowing what to say.

Lots of love
Mimi
Xxx

Londonjam · 22/05/2017 13:58

So sorry mimi :( I really wish you all the best, and hope that you don't disappear from here altogether xx

My zen has deserted me today. Why can't I get pregnant? Feel very sad today.

Footy1 · 22/05/2017 14:29

Hi ladies, feeling shattered and mentally drained. Dh playing up again here so dtd is off the cards. Totally rubbish..
He can't even help me out with a puppy not alone a baby! Still don't think I've ovulated. Rubbish. Sorry u feel down everyone. Must be a down day for us all. Sorry to see u off ttc Mimi. Keep in touch my friend x

Tee4me · 24/05/2017 18:39

Oh dear, the lows of TTC have hit us all this week; isn't any wonder considering how long we've all been struggling, it's a miracle we are all still sane(ish)!
What else can we do? There is no other answer but to keep persevering and have hope that our time will come.
Had my acupuncture appointment on Monday. She was lovely, had a much more therapeutic approach in comparison to the guy I saw last year. She will introduce cupping and massage manipulation into my treatments too; I won't say no! The initial consultation and treatment was over 90minutes, so felt really good to dedicate all that time to the cause.

CD16 here. DH was back on board Monday night, so this month looks like this:
CD9 DTDx1
CD12 DTDx2 (peak opk)
CD13 ovulation(?) no DTD
CD14 DTDx1
Much less than usual this month, but it wasn't like the 'more' approach had been doing us any favours? Maybe there is something in the myth that you can DTD too much. Who knows. Will try again tonight and maybe Friday, as we have rarely DTD this far into the cycle, so I'm interested to see if we've been missing a trick. Always been adamant OD is CD13, but maybe that's when ovulation begins and actually doesn't complete til much later? My twin only DTD on CD18 with her DS.
I don't know about you guys, but it certainly gives me hope to try something different.
Jam so hoping it's your month, my God you deserve it. I feel the same as you, zen & chilled one day, nervous wreck the next. We are only human. Don't you usually have pms symptoms by now?
Russ what a lovely bump!!
Footy sorry DH is being an arse, talk about insult to injury. Hope he's just having a couple of off days and will start to behave himself soon.
Mimi you have been a wonderful support to us all, hope you keep in touch from time to time, wishing you all the best and lots of hugs to you x

Londonjam · 24/05/2017 21:35

How's the puppy doing footy?

Glad the acupuncture went well tee I hope it helps. Your dates look perfect I really hope sperm and egg meet up for you xx

Kate how are you?

Having a hard week over here. The last few days of the cycle are the absolute worst for me, I ought to take a vow of silence and head for the hills I'm not fit for public!

The combination of hormones and waiting for my period to arrive is just a killer. I read into symptoms still even though I've had them all before and it's always PMS. Getting my hopes up is so tempting, my heart lifts, everything feels different. Then I remind myself my period will most likely come and I'm back down to earth and the sadness settles around me. It really feels like it will never happen Sad
