Big hug kate. This is a long journey and ups and downs are going to happen. Tee is right it will happen but nobody knows when. There's not a lot more we can do but to just hope. Let it out if u need to..

Mimi hey how u doing? Hope u can persuade Dh for some tests etc.. my Dh is not open for that discussion. He's in shock over the puppy not alone tests and babies! Lol

Russkispy · 15/05/2017 08:44

Tee, just looking at my notes, re IUI, it was Cycle #6 and my time line was as follows:
Cd5-cd10 - was taking clostilbegyt (Clomid)
CD#8 - had HCG Fallopian tubes test (dye). Both open. Saw on monitor
Cd12- 9am ovitrelle injection
Cd13- (ovulating) 9am - DH deposited sperm for "wash" (after wash 88% motility otherwise was 75%) and I had IUI at 1pm same day. At that time I had 2 dominant follicles at 20mm, endometrium 14mm thick

Mimilicious013 · 15/05/2017 09:22

Sending you big hugs @kate.l think we can all relate to what you are going through but like you said to me before. ,our time will come. I'm sure you can witness that most of us are struggling to get pregnant on here, that it is not as straight forward as we all thought. Some people might not share the whole truth hun.l for instance would not tell everyone that it's been over 2 yrs .

Hie @foot. Your oh is my dh's brother indeed.he is a little difficult but I am sure with a few kisses and sexy numbers, l could get my way . are the boys enjoying the puppy?

Hie @tee, hope you had a good weekend. Fw is fast approaching for you. I'm still in limbo waiting for af. The spotting has stopped so a little confused now.

Have a great week everyone

Londonjam · 15/05/2017 13:49

Sorry kate, I know how you feel. I sometimes say to DH we will just have to be a great aunt and uncle :(

It's impossible to not feel despair when you have been trying and failing so long.

Mimilicious013 · 15/05/2017 15:24

BfnSad , and I just had to torture myself Angry

Londonjam · 15/05/2017 16:20

Big hug mim

DuRezidal · 15/05/2017 21:59

@physicskate at least you know that your eggs can be ovulated from the chemical.

Footy1 · 16/05/2017 12:29

Sorry mim was a bfn. It doesn't get any easier the longer you have been ttc does it! Hope you manage to sort out some tests or something. Could just be normal and just not right timing or something?

Cd15Star had few stomach cramps last night, boobs a little sensitive, a little EWCM, so let's keep fingers crossed. Can't temp at the mo as I'm up and down with the pup so throwing it all out.

Mimilicious013 · 18/05/2017 07:31

Thanks @jam and @foot

It seems like everyone has become tired of a never ending ttc journey. Am feeling really low. Had a only 1 day and bfn after bfn.

Just sending hugs all round and wishing you all my friends luck. Really hope that we will all soon see the light at the end of the tunnel Flowers.

@tee @jam @foot @kate @nim @mama, lighting a candle for you all and hoping we join the grads soon.

Tee4me · 18/05/2017 08:20

Sorry Mim, how disappointing 😔
Thanks Russ, that's really helpful. I've got my heart set on trying IUI in the Summer, but DH still not ready to discuss, so we'll see.
Jam where are you in the 2ww?? I'm looking forward to hearing how you got on this month having had that flush before ovulation!
Footy, sounds like the puppy is a good distraction, temps are hard work and stressful. I think with the way your cycles are, you're better off DTD little and often throughout and not pay too much attention to tracking.
Kate hope you're feeling better... is the new job less stressful overall than the last? I'm sensing you need more 'me time', do you get enough chances to relax? Think this is an important part of ttc.
DuRez hope your pregnancy is progressing well!
I often think about Nim and how's she's getting on after her x2 MCs!

Well CD9 here, ewcm has started, made me realise that I definitely did have less on the x2 cycles I took epo, weird!! Glad I'm only on 3 supplements now and off the aspirin!
DTD last night, planning to make sure we keep it up until at least 2 days past positive opk! Had a decent line yesterday already, so potentially an early CD12 egg. I think epo delayed ov too.
Found a new Acupuncturist and start treatments with her on Monday. She is local unlike the last guy (used to be a 3 hour round trip, so defeated the point of being a relaxing treatment). She sounds like she has more of a 'therapist' approach, and I think I need that. Last guy was very blunt, although I did conceive after x3 cycles of treatment. Have already booked in for first 3 sessions, as I want to keep up the momentum and not leave more than a week between sessions. Hope this works for me before I start the ball rolling with IUI.

Londonjam · 18/05/2017 08:49

Take care of yourself and maybe treat yourself to something nice mim I hope you feel brighter soon

Tee I'm 7 DPO and feel like all the hormones kicked in last night. Wide awake from 0430 roasting hot, so bloated and windy, spotty, mood plummeted etc!

I feel resigned to AF coming really, the HSG won't make any difference as my tubes were clear. I've just received my coq10 and pregnacare tablets and started those, plus a quarter aspirin daily.

I've also got my clomid from the oxford online pharmacy and considering trying that next cycle.

New acupuncturist sounds great! I hope they do the trick within 3 cycles like the last one.

Kate hope you're doing okay

Kiki18 · 18/05/2017 08:55

Hey all,

Sorry to see the struggles of ttc are making some of you feel low I really do feel for you it can be such a long and tedious journey - have been keeping an eye out on the thread and still rooting for you all from afar.
Acupuncture sounds great my sister in law had that through her IVF treats and swears by it so fingers crossed Tee.
Sending my best wishes to all of you - have my fingers crossed tightly for you xx

Tee4me · 18/05/2017 09:35

Oh Jam have you self prescribed Clomid or did the specialist suggest this?? I'm interested because my sister knows someone who struggled for 2 years ttc, x2 failed IUI, but then Clomid on its own along with acupuncture worked for her (NB. she conceived twins!) ! We had a lengthy discussion as to whether I should purchase online and try a cycle! Footy I think you've explained in the past but can't remember what the 'cons' were with Clomid? Can't take it for too long right? I ovulate regularly which is another reason I dismissed it, but hear it can still help...

Tee4me · 18/05/2017 09:36

Thanks Kiki, hope you are well! How's bump? How many weeks are you now?

Londonjam · 18/05/2017 09:49

I did self prescribe.

A lady on the TTC1 thread had it prescribed by her consultant recently. The consultant said they had been trialling it again and had some impressive success rates - and so were prescribing it again, against NICE guidelines, as it was actually saving the NHS money not having to dish out IVF to these couples. NICE at the moment do not recommend clomid for women who regulate regularly - hence why both consultants I saw would not prescribe it.

Pros - promotes ovulation, can make you release more than one egg so there is more than one target for sperm to shoot at, and anecdotally I've read it can improve the quality of the eggs released

Cons - it can thin the lining of your womb. I think that's why they don't let you take it for very long. Also can lead to multiple eggs fertilised which can be dangerous

Londonjam · 18/05/2017 09:50

On the womb lining thing - if you are prescribed it, they monitor you on it, so you get a scan around day 12 I think?

I'm going to look into booking a private scan to check that my lining is okay.

Londonjam · 18/05/2017 09:51

Ah - and there are side effects!

This website is quite helpful

getpregnantfaq.com/clomid/

Tee4me · 18/05/2017 10:33

Interesting Jam! What mg did you go for? 50mg?

Footy1 · 18/05/2017 11:29

Tee/jam -I was prescribed it by the gynaecologist at hosp and they only scanned before the first cycle but they did take blood on cd21 which showed I did ovulate on it. Depends on your area and if you are entitled to a monitored cycle or not. I'm not eligible as already have children.

Lots of people do self prescribe and it's fine, but think you need to only have 6 months before a break. Pomegranate juice is good to thicken lining.

Only side effects I get is few night sweats and a bit grumpy the days I take it. (You only take it day 2-6) so not too bad. I take 100mg but only cos I don't always ovulate. Def start on 50mg as you girls ovulate already. See how you react to it.

Footy1 · 18/05/2017 11:31

Sorry mim you feel so low. Does Dh know how u feel? Hope he giving u support x

Good to know the grads are doing well! Keep us posted. Is beagles still around? She ok?

Londonjam · 18/05/2017 11:54

I would definitely start with 25mg and won't be taking it for more than 3 cycles. I feel really wary of self prescribing - these are powerful drugs and really should be taken under the supervision of professionals. I feel like they've given me no choice but to self prescribe however, as they are flatly refusing to prescribe it. It's a shame that advice differs so much between NHS trusts.

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 18/05/2017 15:50

Hi ladies,
Not been on here a while. Feeling abit fed up of ttc and feeling disheartened and not sure I can be bothered to keep going with it.

On cycle 4 this time around plus last year's try for 5 or so months.

Sending lots of baby dust to you all xx

physicskate · 18/05/2017 20:22

5 dpo. Hi all. Tee - what is 'me time'?? I don't understand that at all. It seems like you might have a plan! Very exciting that you all seem to be trying new things! I did try to book acupuncture, but there are very few providers round me and no one did weekends or anytime after 6.... so that was a bust. At least until mid-July when we break up for few weeks.

My job is going well. So much less stress, but the kids are not as pleasant (actually some of them are shockingly unpleasant), but we can't have it all! I don't feel quite as attached to everything as I did to my old school... so that's a good thing!

Kind of in denial about ttc at the moment. Don't even have time to ring the fertility clinic until half term... but we soldier on. I'm not even hopeful that this month has worked. I think I've just about given up... not sure how I'm feeling about ttc it's so shit.

Massive hugs to you all.

Kiki18 · 19/05/2017 07:24

Ladies if it's any help I was prescribed clomid for PCOS and they advised no more than 6 cycles due to risks with womb lining. I had to take it between cycle days 2-6 and they started me off on 50mg when it didn't make me ovulate that cycle 100mg the next one and again I didn't ovulate so went to 150mg which I think is the highest dose.

I had scans each cycle around day 12-14 just to check ovulation rather than womb lining and once they established I was ovulating on it just left us to it - they did warn that when they scanned of there were several eggs they might advise not to dtd because of risks of multiples!

Like footy my only side effects that bothered me really was the night sweats - so hopefully if you are already ovulating and take a small dose it might help just be careful xx

Thanks Tee I'm very well we are at 20 weeks now xx

Londonjam · 19/05/2017 11:12

Thanks kiki hope you are doing well xx
