10 dpo. Think I'm not gonna test. Not feeling like it's going to be positive as no sore boobs, which I had during the chemicals... not too sad about that. Weight watchers is great! It's giving me something else to obsess over.

Foot I think the idea of getting cycles back on track on the break from clomid is good. Never ever go back onto hormonal contraception!!

Footy1 · 21/04/2017 08:00

Kate are you getting weighed each week with Weight Watchers. I found by weighing my clients each week they were more inclined to be good coming up to weigh in day. Helps keeps the unwanted lbs at bay.
Good luck on it, it's a good healthy plan to follow.

Londonjam · 21/04/2017 08:08

Hi girls hope you're all doing well

Tee great news on your results, really hope not long until your sticky BFP now. How's your twin getting on with LO?

Footy that's great you've got more of a plan and help from your GP. It must be a nightmare being irregular, do you think you could forget about your cycle and just have sex every other day or so?

My appointment went fine, our results are all normal / good. We're on the waiting list for IVF which starts in October. They've referred me for an HSG too so I'll book that when AF comes.

If we can't wait until October we will look into paying for a cycle. I can't see us conceiving naturally, even though on paper it should be happening.

The consultant said the average healthy couple having well timed sex has a 6-7 % chance of conceiving each cycle. So low!!!

Londonjam · 21/04/2017 08:09

Fx Kate, hope AF stays away

physicskate · 21/04/2017 08:15

I'd hear it was more like 20% (from prof lord Robert winston)! That is even more discouraging.

I'm calling myself out this month. Bbt dropped. 11 dpo, but negative ic yesterday. I just really think it's not going to happen. Thinking of booking in for some private tests/ ultrasound. I feel pretty let down by the NHS as I have honestly been ttc over a year (and I know lots of people stretch the truth) and I've never made it past 4w3d!

Very unhappy thinking I started ttc at 32 and I'm unlikely to see a baby before I'm 35 at this rate... apparently my grandmother had a hell of a time getting pregnant and then keeping babies. She only had one in the end!

physicskate · 21/04/2017 08:17

Oh and foot I'm not going to meetings but bought a set of their recommended scales to weigh myself weekly. Very concerned about lunches from my school! I dread to think how many points they are!!!

Londonjam · 21/04/2017 11:50

kate I thought it was 20-25% too, but the consultant I saw said 85 out of 100 couples will get pregnant in a year - so 85%. 85% split into 12 months is 7% per month. Prof Winston must work it out another way!

I started at 32 too kate and now I know I won't have a baby before I'm 34. Unless I conceive this cycle and it comes early! But very unlikely. It's a really shit feeling.

If I were you I would see another doctor, say you've been trying over a year and you want to be referred.

physicskate · 21/04/2017 12:05

Ah! Here is where statistics come in! Sorry if this is really boring, but the scientist in me cannot resist!

So if 20% or people get pregnant each month, after the first month that leaves:
80%. Then 20% or remaining people leaves:
64%. Then 20% of remaining people leaves:
51.2%, it's a simple logarithmic decay... my bread and butter!
So 8 months would look like:
80%
64%
51%
41%
33%
27%
22%
18%

Of course this does not include people who re-enter the system (after miscarriage/cp etc... which is an alarmingly high percent! This system does also not include the proportion of people ttc who are eventually proven infertile. I think there is definitely a diminishing rate of return in this regression.

God I am such a saddo geek...

Footy1 · 21/04/2017 18:33

Lol kate.. that is some thinking!! There's no way on earth I would sit there and work all that out. Haha - probably why you are a teacher and I'm not.
If it helps distract u, maybe you should study something! Haha
I agree with Jam u should try register to a different surgery. You might be lucky and get a good gp.

Jam what do you do to distract you? I really am hoping you conceive this cycle so you don't need to go down the ivf road.

physicskate · 21/04/2017 18:52

Oh I just did it in my head! I've thought it all out previously... months ago in a bath...

Sorry if I've just revealed myself to be a bigger nerd than you all thought!!!

I am doing a couple online (free) MOOC courses - obviously about nerdy stuff!! I promise I don't fit all the stereotypes of a nerdy physics teacher!!

DuRezidal · 22/04/2017 07:33

Wow @physicskate

physicskate · 22/04/2017 10:28

Temp dropped to coverline. 12 dpo. Cd 37!!! Think I might try to give up tracking...

DuRezidal · 22/04/2017 21:32

What does it mean if the temp drops? Sorry I have no ideas about bbt...

physicskate · 22/04/2017 21:59

When?? Is it before ov? Or before af? Or during luteal?

Footy1 · 22/04/2017 22:51

Hi Durez, how you feeling?

Mama? Nim ? Mimi ?You still with us?

Kate - you are not out yet.. hang in there. Any cramps?

Hope everyone ok, been a busy day!
Still nothing my end..

Footy1 · 22/04/2017 22:53

Kate I don't think you are a nerd! Wink
I was quite impressed actually. I'm a very laid back person so can't imagine being in the bath calculating things. I just fall asleep and get lost in the bubbles Smile

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 23/04/2017 09:11

Hi Ladies, yes still here foot , how have you been? I need a break from thinking about ttc as have an essay to write. However it is now cd 13 and we have been dtd most days. I suspect I will ovulate cd 17ish so it's just std everyday for a week now. I feel pretty confident last month was a chemical so I won't be doing any testing until at due date which is 10th may.

How is everyone else getting on?

Russkispy · 24/04/2017 13:50

Hi ladies, Just got back from my 32 weeks scan. Babi is 4lb 10 now!! And we saw her clear and face to us and she's got my mouth, my lips!! Seen so clear!! One more scan to go at 36 weeks and on 1/06 I'll get my date for CS. Omg! It's all happening!! And still very unreal. Hospital and Babi's bag are ready, to make it even more real.

Thinking of you all and hopefully soon you'll get your own BFP. 🤗🤗🤗

Tee4me · 25/04/2017 09:41

Hi everybody,
Sorry I've been MIA, lots to catch up on!
Russ great to hear from you, can't believe you're so close now!
I'm 1 or 2dpo. Had a lovely weekend break with hubby, plenty of DTD, but I'm a bit annoyed with myself today... took epo yesterday and today out of habit, just dawned on me I should have stopped OD at the latest as it's not good after ovulation. Urgh, I'm sure it's completely insignificant, I think it can just be problematic during implantation, which wouldn't be for a few days yet (on the off chance we happened to be successful this month). Why do we beat ourselves up about stupid things! I don't drink or even have caffeine anymore, but am already telling myself I've ruined my chances this month because of this, completely irrational!!
Jam bless you for asking after my twin's LO, he was here yesterday and getting more adorable by the day. My twin is coping really well. You in your final week of the wait?!
Footy any sign of ov??

DuRezidal · 25/04/2017 17:41

@Footy1 I'm feeling ok, not really had anything so just carrying on as normal at the moment.

I have finally got a scan date of next Tuesday but will only be 11 weeks at this point which I did explain to the scanning unit but they didn't seem too concerned.

DuRezidal · 25/04/2017 17:42

Well 11w 6d

physicskate · 25/04/2017 18:22

And so the sun sets on cd 39 and dawns on cd1... back to square one. Cycle 12... month 14 starts May 1....

Tee4me · 25/04/2017 18:57

Great your scan is so soon DuRez, I'm dreaming of reaching that milestone. Enjoy every moment!
Kate sorry to hear this. Hoping May is your month. When I had my MCs, the AFs that followed were more of a disappointment than ever; so many people tell you you'll be more fertile in those following months. Having said that, my friend who miscarried in January has just told me she's 10 weeks pregnant. She had 1 AF in between. She is the same friend who took 3 months to conceive her DD and 14 months for DS. There's no rhyme or reason. I'm feeling very hopeful it will happen for us soon x

Footy1 · 25/04/2017 20:48

Oh no kate, sorry to hear this. Had everything crossed for you. Really hope it will happen soon. Hope you are alright, I'm sure u are very disappointed. Flowers

Hey Tee, glad to hear you had a good weekend break. Great timing of ovulation too! I'm sure the EPO will be fine.
No ovulation for me I'm afraid!! Quite annoyed so day 2 of AF pills ... onwards and upwards! Have my chin up and determined I will manage an ovulation next cycle. Taking buckets (feels like) of the vitamin pills now---- even set timers and alarms to alert me.
Back running, salads and all the good stuff! I will get there...Hmm

Russ aww pleased all going well. You are so close! 4lb a good weight for 32 weeks. Start packing and write a birth plan. Always helpful.

Durez glad all is well and no unwanted side effects from pregnancy. Don't think it will matter being just shy of 12 weeks. With my first it was around then and still fine.

Mama, good idea to take a break thinking too much about ttc, esp if you are busy and have essays. What do u study?

Londonjam · 25/04/2017 21:03

Tee I'm sure that won't make any difference hon

Sorry Kate that sucks 😔

No news from me, I'm 7 DPO and feel the same as always. Looking into private prescription and monitoring on clomid. Not sure if will do it but gathering info.
