Oh Basset, hope they can get it to a normal level fairly quickly. Will miss hearing from you! Take care of yourself 💐

Just waiting for AF to arrive. Spotting, cramps and massive boobs here (surefire signs, every time). Looks like Clomid round 2 in the next few days.

bassetmum · 19/06/2017 22:34

Baguette im still going to float around but can't guarantee how active I will be as weve been told no ttc. Sorry af is on her way

Hey Ladies!

Im back from my holidays dehydrated, sunburnt and fat Grin the way it should be. Wee update from me then im going to look back through posts i have missed!

soo with my irratic cycles ( last one 59days post provera bleed) i decided to start using my CB ovulation sticks on CD27. started getting flashing smiles on CD30 and peaked on CD33! couldnt believe my luck I thought it could be a few weeks of negatives. only issue is we didnt DTD as much as i would have liked due to the heat! ( which ill be honest i did go in a huff about i felt like i bloody count days, pee on sticks daily, go to GPs, take provera, get bloods taken etc all the other half needs to do is have sex!! ) but we did manage cd27, 31, 33 and 35.

I really am trying to not get my hopes up too much but this is the first month that i have known when iv ovulated and that i have had sex around that time. every little bit of nausea or weird stomach feeling im like THIS IS IT!! then need to give myself a reality check. being optimistic but realistic but still have all my fingers and toes crossed.

So I think AF should be due about monday. trying to convince myself if she doesnt show her face by then to wait another week before testing but no idea if ill be able to hold out that long.

Going to have a wee look through past posts now and see what everyone else has been up to Smile

KittyKat73 · 21/06/2017 11:55

Basset aww no im so sorry to hear that. I really hope they get your levels back up to a happy level quickly and you can continue your TTC journey. are they putting that down as the reason for not being able to concieve as yet?

Baguette I hope AF stays away! I know what you mean about POAS im about 10 days post ov. and want to test straight away. theres no tests in the house so i cant cave in!
oh loxy what wonderful news!! I know you must be feeling so shocked. im soo happy for you after everything you have been through. i know you were saying you were trying not to get pregnant but it was absolutely meant to be Smile I will be thinking on you and that everything goes smoothly.
Pie I am so sorry to hear your news. I cant imagine what you are going through right now. you are definately making the right choice you need to put yourself first! and look after yourself. who knows what the future holds but right now your happiness and well being is no. 1 priority. Ill be thinking on you and hope a happier outcome is on the horizon for you
Alice Welcome! I have only just started using CB ovulation sticks but I am a terrible example as i have irratic cycles that are different lengths and sometimes AF just disappears for months with no reason!
Beauty I hope this month AF stays away from you!

bassetmum · 21/06/2017 13:00

I think kitty. Its one major issue affecting our ttc. They did test my rubella immunity too but forgot to ask for that result. Fx for you!! Your holiday sounds fab.

JeNeBaguetteRien · 21/06/2017 21:02

Welcome back Kitty and high five for the timing of ovulation! Are you a relaxing by the pool holidaymaker or an up at dawn to see the place type?

Basset hope the medication works well, it should make you feel better in general as well as prepare you for TTC when the levels are all good.

Still spotting here, AF likes to take her bloody time (get it?) but is definitely coming.
Glad I didn't waste my £1 test on Sunday!

Planning to go to the seaside on Saturday and have an ice cream. And then pub later with a friend I haven't seen in ages. I had imagined sneaking alcohol free beers or G&Ts with no G so at least I don't have to do that!

Basset hope the rubella test comes back fine!

Baguette oh im a pool/beach bunny all day then eat and drink all night holiday gal lol. ( never drunk though!) Ah hope AF behaves herself for you! is it definately AF if its still been spotting for a few days could it be implantation? ooh that sounds like a lovely Saturday hope you have lots of fun!

alicealice123 · 22/06/2017 12:02

Well, it looks like I wasn't on this thread for very long - I got my BFP last night. Did another two this morning (including a Clear Blue) and yep looks like I'm definitely pregnant :O

Massively in shock - I recognise how hard it can be to fall pregnant and really thought it'd take far longer. Obviously reading these threads on here makes me feel blessed that we were able to conceive so quickly (although early days yet!)... still gobsmacked though!

Fingers crossed for everybody else - hope you get your BFP's soon! x

JeNeBaguetteRien · 22/06/2017 18:02

Congratulations Alice, hope all goes well for you.

KittyKat73 · 23/06/2017 11:07

Congratulations Alice thats wonderful news how quick it was all for you!

feel like im getting kinda AF symptoms, bit of crampy pains on/off and headachey so i have a feeling she may be on her way. i know im not out until shes here but its calmed me down a bit about POAS

beautyisfoundwithin · 24/06/2017 15:30

Hi all, hope everyone is well. I've not had any respite from work still which is why I haven't managed to show my face for a while.

Sorry to hear you have to take a break from TTC basset, but hopefully this diagnosis will prove helpful for you with regards to feeling better in yourself and successfully conceiving when the right time comes.

Hope you're enjoying the seaside and your G&Ts Baguette, sounds like a great way to spend your weekend.

Glad you had a lovely holiday Kitty. It sounds like you gave it a good chance this month too. Hopefully your symptoms won't be AF, and the relaxed holiday vibes will have done the trick!

Congratulations on the BFP alice! Best of luck for your pregnancy.

I have absolutely no hope for this cycle. So much work meant time flew by and somehow before I knew it FW had come and gone and we didn't HS at the right time at all. It also didn't help that DH and I had a huge row during FW and weren't even speaking, let alone DTD. Feeling annoyed now that we wasted an opportunity but I guess these things happen and there's nothing I can do to change it now! So barring a miracle, I will just have to focus on the next cycle.

bassetmum · 25/06/2017 20:53

Congratulations alice!! Hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Kitty and baguette time by a pool or beach sounds fine. Hope that af didn't arrive kitty.

Im sorry this month has been difficult beauty. Hopefully a month "off" will be good for all.

Well I am seven days into my meds and I feel so much better already. The zombie like tiredness i was feeling has gone. My heart rate isnt quite as manic. Hopefully the change in only a week will be a good thing to tell the consultant tomorrow.

Hey ladies you wont believe it ......

I GOT A BFP!!!

after 12 months of TTC Irratic Cycles, AF disappearing for 3 months, taking provera and no sniff of one a bloody holiday to greece has knocked me up!

Im going to admit after my dont test until AF is due speech I caved and got a test on friday to just "get it out my system" as i didnt feel quite right and there was a faint line ran out and bought a CB digital and there it was winking at me pregnant 1 -2 weeks! I have been working this weekend so waited for today when AF was due to retest and line has gotten alot darker. I honestly cant believe it I was psyching myself up on friday for now its going to be negative but dont worry your not out yet etc....... [ shock] wow!

Basset thats brill that your feeling so much better already! I really hope your bloods have improved by the time you have your appointment

Beauty sorry to hear your having a rough month, as bassett said maybe the month off will do you and your partner good. so frustrating for you though I know it can be stressful for the other halfs but at times I go through a we are the ones doing all this effort and planning etc they should be able to play along and DTD when needed with us!

bassetmum · 26/06/2017 21:56

Congratulations kitty. I have everything crossed for a sticky bean!!!

Consultant agreed with gp. Hes upped my anti thyroid meds and Ive got some beta blockers for the next couple of weeks. He doesn't think radioiodine or surgery is anything i need to worry about. So hopefully the tablets can get it sorted and I stabilise soon so I can start ttc again. Most things Ive read say it could be 12-18 months before its sorted Sad

OP posts:
alicealice123 · 27/06/2017 06:45

Thanks everyone and CONGRATS Kitty! I hope this string of BFP continues :)

beautyisfoundwithin · 27/06/2017 12:25

Congratulations Kitty!!! That's great news! So the holiday did the trick despite the heat 😊

Hope your tablets sort things out basset and hopefully it won't be that long for you before TTC again.

Eva30 · 27/06/2017 14:13

kitty huuuuuge congratulations!! Absolutely wonderful news.it feels surreal when you wait so long for it doesn't it! All the very best, take it easy.

Unfortunately I am back here - I had a miscarriage Sad I'm off work sick until next week and have so many things going round in my head. Part of me never wants to try again in case it happens again, and part of me wants to try straight away because I want it so much. I'm hoping as time goes by, the former will gradually go.

I hope you're all well and will have a proper read and catch up tonight.

KittyKat73 · 27/06/2017 15:11

thank you everyone! I know its still very early days so just taking it easy definitely not sunk in yet! bought 3 other pregnancy tests Blush so i can keep testing every so often just to make sure.

Basset thats great that they think medication will be enough to get your blood levels within a happy range. I really hope it doesn't take that long for you. Everyone is different and they probably have to say 12- 18 as the maximum.

Eva oh I am soo sorry to hear this Flowers take as long as you need to be off work and dont be rushing back its alot for you to go through physically and mentally and you need time to rest and process it all. I can completely understand why you feel so torn as it will all be so raw for you. Be kind to yourself, you will know when your ready to try again take it one day at a time.

Blissfulignorance · 28/06/2017 15:03

Hello ladies, would you mind if I joined in again too?

Like you @Eva30 I've also suffered a miscarriage. It's all very raw for me at the moment and I have much the same feelings as you.

Massive congratulations to @KittyKat73 I hope everything goes smoothly for you! It really is the best feeling until you start getting nauseated! Best of luck to you.

Eva30 · 28/06/2017 15:25

Thank you kitty - I hope you have a happy & healthy 9 months Smile

Oh @blissfulignorance I'm so sorry too Flowers its heartbreaking isn't it, we wait so long and life can be so cruel. I went for a scan and baby had stopped growing at 5/6 weeks. Just an empty sac. Had the procedure to take it out on Friday under local an aesthetic, just horrid. Must focus on moving forward now. Big hugs to you, I know its hard and emotions are all over the place Flowers

Congrats Alice also

basset wow you've got it tough, but good that they've found it and working on it now? Will they do repeat tests to see how you're reacting to the meds?

How's everyone else?

Blissfulignorance · 28/06/2017 16:17

Thanks @Eva30 I had some spotting at 7 weeks, went for a scan and everything was fine, saw a heartbeat measuring well no concerns. Then the day after I miscarried, I didn't know it at the time I thought it was a big clot (TMI) and more bleeding. Then all my symptoms started to disappear and I had it confirmed today with another scan. Fortunately everything seems to have cleared naturally so no need for a follow up.

It's one of the most emotionally painful things ive ever experienced. Hopefully as the days go by it'll get easier.

I'll catch up on the thread a little later.

beautyisfoundwithin · 28/06/2017 20:29

Oh Eva and Bliss, I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through. I can't imagine how you're both feeling, wishing you all the best as you recover and all the luck in the world as you continue your TTC journey Flowers

bassetmum · 29/06/2017 08:07

I am so sorry eva & bliss. Take the time to look after yourselves.

I will have more tests. Got to to for a blood test in about 2-3 weeks to see how my levels are doing. But if you want to see a big impact the pills are already having and I'm not even been taken them a fortnight yet look at my heart rate graph from my fitbit!!! I started taken my tablets on the 19th. I do feel so much better already too which is a bonus.
