Its definitely been the most successful fw with dtd on cd 7, 9, 12 and 13. Hopefully going to try tonight (cd15) as well as ive had some ovary pain but its a bit warm so we will see.

Baguette good plan on the rest of the month sex.

When doesnt the weekend disappear flora?? Fx your bloods come back saying you've ovulated!! And fx for the sa!!

I have so much respect for people who work nightshifts kitty. Haha its good you've got booked in for the wax. I've never had one it kinda scares me!!!

Loxy4527 · 23/05/2017 16:46

Hey ladies. Hope you're all well! Still popping in now and again, not much to report this month as I'm sitting this one out. Had my blood tests done today - that was a lot of vials. Get my results next week.

It's not been too bad, was a bit annoyed when I noticed that I was ovulating over the weekend, seems a waste but I know it's for the best and that I can and will get pregnant again. Hopefully if there is anything the doc can recommend I'll be able to implement it for next month Smile

beautyisfoundwithin · 23/05/2017 19:44

Thanks flora, I hope I get a +ive soon too! I think maybe I'll start temping next month if I've still had no luck with the OPKs. Glad to hear you're feeling positive after your bloods. Fingers crossed for the results.

I bet your DH will be happy about the wax Kitty! You'll be able to stop fending off his advances!

Well done on the FW activity basset! I've never had a wax either, I stick to self grooming. I'm way too embarrassed to have anyone fiddling around down there! Smear tests are horrifying enough for me to endure - and here I am TTC 😂 Better get used to people poking around in my nether regions if this all goes to plan!

Nice to hear from you Loxy. Hope the break does you good and fingers crossed for your results next week.

JeNeBaguetteRien · 23/05/2017 22:10

Waves at Flora hope you relaxed after your busy week. Have fingers crossed for your results and also for Loxy.

The bikini wax I had before I got married was like a contortionist session! It was like a workout the positions she got me into. Good luck Kitty. I think the hot wax that dries is best, not the ones that they use cotton strips for.

Go Basset that is some great action.

I think Beauty once you get BFP you won't mind so much someone looking at your foof but they do still need to be respectful and take your worries into account.

I've had 8 days of spotting now, getting fed up because it is AF but she's just taking so long to properly start. Hoping to get HSG booked in once cycle starts.

Have a good week all.

JeNeBaguetteRien · 25/05/2017 07:34

Well AF did arrive yesterday so I start my Clomid today for 5 days.

I have hidden some threads where people are asking if it's a BFP when they weren't even trying or it's their first month as I found them too depressing.

At DH's suggestion I think I'm going to skip the Clearblue monitor this month and just DTD a lot. Fingers crossed!

KittyKat73 · 25/05/2017 13:18

I feel like usually we are all rallied round me for AF to appear when my cycles are extra long ..... now its for my wax!! haha! Grin thanks guys! ill keep yous up to date Blush to be fair I have been working alot of weekends so me and DH havent had any time to DTD so he hasnt been at risk of a wee hairy attack! but i finish this sat morning so who knows what will happen!

Baguette glad AF has arrived for you! Yeah i know what you mean about seeing those threads I know this will sound so judgemental and selfish and probally wrong but when I see them i think .... you have no idea how lucky you guys are my plan was to get knocked up ASAP last june now it will be a year in a few days. FX for you both this month espcially with the Clomid on board.

Beauty I have heard people say they find temping alot more accurate so hopefully it goes well for you! :)

Loxy good to hear from you hope your results are good and Drs come up with a plan for you.

basset oh thats sounds like a really successful fw, dont think there is much else you could have done keep up the good work haha!, aww thanks I dont find it too bad as long as I have managed to get a good sleep during the day. Waxing is a horrible thought before you get it done but for holidays etc its soooo much easier a few rips of wax and im sorted!

Flora soo true! for this holiday im getting waxed, nails, toenails, hair dyed, hair cut probally put a fake tan on blah blah blah and hubby is just going to get a hair cut...... ill be a plucked painted chicken by the end! Hope your bloods come back with good results :)

JeNeBaguetteRien · 27/05/2017 17:42

Wow Kitty you'll be like a new you! I am going to do my nails today, haven't had them done for a while as I've been doing a lot of DIY.

CD4 here, managed to DTD before important football started today, trying to make time for it outside fertile window and keep some level of romance alive.

No major bank holiday plans here but might go for a walk tomorrow just an excuse for a pub lunch or even for a swim, I could do with some exercise!

BBS83 · 27/05/2017 19:06

Hi all, mind if I join again have not been on in months, we took a break from actively trying as the stress was making us both total grumps.

So just a quick summary....33yrs, trying to conceive number 1, cycle lost track but well into the 20s been trying of nearly 2 years.

AF is currently 2 days late but not wanting to test and be dissapointed as normally average around 32 days but had a 51 and 45 thrown in there.

Hope everyone is well.

JeNeBaguetteRien · 27/05/2017 21:34

Hi BBS hope the break has helped a bit, it can get all-consuming when TTC.
Hoping for you that AF doesn't show.

Have you got any plans for the bank holiday?

BBS83 · 27/05/2017 22:03

My Partners sister is coming to visit from Monday for a week so just sorting my house out and odds and ends. How about you JeNeBaguette?

The break did help. I really think stress plays a huge role in ttc.

Catra · 28/05/2017 10:41

I received some overwhelming news yesterday - a BFP after 5 months of TTC for the first time! I'm 38 and DH and I were preparing ourselves to go to the drs for tests if it didn't work this time - I think I'd resigned myself that it wouldn't happen given my age, so I got the shock of my life when I saw the test result, taken on the day AF was due.

Right now I'm stunned, elated and feeling incredibly fortunate. It's so hard not to tell anyone IRL besides DH so I just had to share it here before I exploded!

FairyAnn · 28/05/2017 17:59

Whoo hoo! Congrats Catra

bassetmum · 29/05/2017 20:29

Congratulations catra.

Nice to hear from you loxy. Hope everythings going okay.

Haha beauty I am fine with smears so thats good.

So sorry af arrived baguette. Sounds good to ditch the monitor for a bit.

That pampering sounds fantastic kitty.

Welcome back bb. Have you tried testing??

Well im one week into this tww. So far Ive had weird cramping, awful farts (again!! Really not a good luteal phase symptom), on and off nausea which can no way be preggers related as im only on cd 22. Been a good bank holiday for me. Had a family wedding and got some stuff done in the garden.

What have everyone else got up too??

OP posts:
JeNeBaguetteRien · 29/05/2017 23:34

Congratulations Catra.

Hope you got the house sorted BBS... and that she's a good visitor to have.

DH and I ended up getting quite tipsy last night, all good fun, and had a takeaway and film day today. Probably could have done with doing some things around the house but hey ho.

I do love a wedding Basset, hope you enjoyed catching up with your family. Are things okay with your sister?

I'm off to bed for work tomorrow, feeling relaxed and have finished my Clomid for this cycle so will see what happens.

Blissfulignorance · 30/05/2017 07:34

Well ladies, what a morning! Got my BFP! I genuinely thought this month was wasted but thought I'd use an ic because my boobs were still a tad sore and my temp was still raised on cd29 ?10dpo.

Some of the new additions to the thread might not know me, I stopped posting as much in an effort to 'relax'.

Anyway thanks for the lovely kind words from everyone along the way. What an experience! Fx this is a stick bean!

First time TTC - thread 6
Blissfulignorance · 30/05/2017 07:35

Ps Eva if you're still lurking how many weeks are you now? Hope everything is going well!

bassetmum · 30/05/2017 11:11

Congratulations bliss!! Thats a strong line. Fx for a sticky bean!!

Baguette she's struggling with bad morning sickness at the moment. I did tell her we were ttc now so thats helped.

OP posts:
Loxy4527 · 30/05/2017 11:35

Hey guys, wow! Congrats to Catra and Bliss!

Not much going on here. Made a bit of a poor judgement call - a close friend asked me about how it was going TTC at the weekend so I opened up about the MCs, kept it together fine. Then she broke down and I ended up comforting her for about two hours. Hmm Shame really, reinforces why I've been keeping this private. Now I can tell she's going to be getting upset for me the longer this goes on for.

BBS83 · 30/05/2017 13:17

Morning all,

Basset I have not tested yet but still no sign of AF so think I will test in the morning.

jeNeBaguette house sorted eventually she is not a bad guessed so that's good 😊

bliss Congradulations 🍾

pandarific · 30/05/2017 13:50

Congratulations on the bfps catra and bliss!

Eva30 · 30/05/2017 14:14

blissful congratulations!!!! Eeek I'm so happy for you! Bloomin fabulous. What will your due date be? I'm on the Jan 18 due date thread now but its so fast moving I struggle to keep up haha!

I'm 6+1 now, I have an early scan next Sunday when I'll be a day short of 8 weeks and should be able to hear a heartbeat. It felt surreal still until yesterday when the sickness kicked in. Honestly felt like I was imagining being pregnant, so never lose hope ladies!!

You will all get there in the end Smilexxx

pandarific · 30/05/2017 14:35

Bit gutted, just took a clear blue digital and a random Hungarian test after (I think) ovulating on 21st, and I thought had felt implantation cramps on 27th, but both were negative. Sad

Don't know why I'm surprised, I've got pcos and it's our first time ttc, I suppose I was just hoping for a honeymoon baby.

Blissfulignorance · 30/05/2017 18:45

Thanks for the congrats guys!

Eva according to my ovia app my due date (can't believe I'm typing this!) will be 6th Feb so that makes me 4 weeks on the dot. Really am surprised how dark my line is for so early?!

Pand maybe wait a few more days, trust me I know how hard it is! Also maybe plan something nice if you don't get the result you want. We made an effort to go out for a dinner when I felt down. It helped.

Good luck bb

JeNeBaguetteRien · 30/05/2017 19:18

Congratulations Bliss that is a heck of a line! Maybe you've got a BOGOF offer ;-)

Waves at Eva! Hi there, take it easy with the sickness.

Loxy sorry you ended up comforting your friend. DH and I haven't told anyone, thought there are 2 couples we are close to who have had IVF that I think he'd probably confide in, but of each couple one is a complete blabbermouth! (both now have kids, one had twins with IVF but they were younger than me so it's not really giving me extra hope).

I have a good friend who lives abroad and had IVF, if anyone we might speak to her as there will be no crossover with other friendship groups. I'm just not willing/able to talk about it as a topic of casual conversation... Yes they told us when they had IVF and texted on day of egg collection, transfer, pee on stick day etc. But that's just not me!

Work was a killer today after the bank holiday, just finished. Going home to have a glass of wine 🍷!

Catra · 30/05/2017 19:56

Congratulations Bliss!

Thank you so much for all the good wishes. It's still not sunk in!
