Oh Eva It's a kick in the face every time regardless of how much you think you're prepared! Flowers I'm glad I didn't upset you, sometimes just having a tiny bit of a positive to be able to look at when you want to is useful.

AF is on the way here too, I'm spotting and onto cycle 11 now, feeling really low this eve. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully with spotting arriving in the evening today I've cut short the gloom. I will be buying wine!! For now I'll make do with easter egg.

Welcome clean

cleanjean · 17/04/2017 23:38

Thanks ladies! So annoyed at myself for forgetting when AF is due this month. I think my last one must have been around the 1st but I'm not 100%. I have a 35 day cycle (usually a good thing as less periods, but right now I'm not so sure!) so I think it's due around the 5th of May. Will write it down next time.

Eva30 · 18/04/2017 07:19

Ugh pie sorry to hear she's on the way for you too. Enjoy the wine Wine I'm just about to go and tuck in to the holiday buffet breakfast and nice coffee - the diet will start again next week!Grin
clean what cycle are you on? Apps are great for tracking. There are many out there you could try. After trying a few I went with fertility friend.

cleanjean · 18/04/2017 08:18

Eva well we stopped using contraception a couple of cycles ago but weren't actively trying. I had a chat with DH yesterday though and we are both more serious about it now, so this is our first proper cycle trying.

Pyjamas81 · 18/04/2017 15:05

Hi everyone - back after a few days in the Lake District!

Ugh - sorry to hear about AF Eva - it's all getting rather tedious isn't it 🙁 Sorry to hear about imminent AF for you as well pie

Welcome clean!

We had an amazing time away - hiking, beautiful scenery, amazing food, gorgeous spa, massages a fine ale or two and just general spending time together with no pressure. We didn't dtd at all, and it was actually the best thing ever. Our lives seem to have been taken over by enforced dtd and it was nice for both of us to not even have to consider it! We dtd enough to cover ourselves before we went away, so I'm not stressing. Am about 6dpo now (judging by last positive opk I got) and as usual no symptoms. Not even remotely expecting a BFP now and just doing what we can until our appointment on the 15th to discuss IVF.

bassetmum · 18/04/2017 19:56

Hi clean!!

Sounds like an amazing holiday pjs. Fx that you have invoked sods law!!

Sorry af got you both eva and pie.

Glad you had someone to talk to loxy.

I am now in my fw and we have dtd yesterday with my OH instigating which was a bonus.

Sorry to hear AF has caught some of us Flowers

Welcome Clean sounds like you have made the best move being off birth control for a while. IF i could turn the clocks back that's exactly what i would have done instead of waiting until I wanted to conceive before i stopped the pill!

cleanjean · 19/04/2017 10:55

I just started taking "preconception & early pregnancy" multivitamins yesterday and this morning about 10 mins after taking it I was sick. I'm never sick so naturally my mind is racing, but I worked it out yesterday and my last AF was around the 1st, so I'm not due another till May 5th, and theoretically must have just ovulated the other day, so it's just the tablet, and I don't think I'll be expecting anything other than AF this month.

I'm glad I found you guys. DH & I haven't told anyone we are trying and it's nice to have someone to talk to about it.

It's feeling very real now I've started taking the multivitamins, and DH and I are both very excited. We might take a month off though after the coming AF as we have a big night out with friends next month and I don't think I could get away with not drinking without people asking, and I don't wanna lie to anyone (but not wanting to tell anyone yet), but also the night out is right after ovulation and I'd feel a bit guilty if there was a chance of conceiving... hmm decisions!

cleanjean · 19/04/2017 10:58

Kitty I had to stop the pill two or three years ago as it was making me a hormonal monster (even more than AF!), so we've just been using condoms or pulling out and thought "if it happens it happens" but it never did. To be honest we've been that "successful" with it (and it's mainly been pull out this last year) that we're not sure we can have kids, as we know so many people who get knocked up after one time without a condom!

bassetmum · 19/04/2017 11:51

Clean just a little tip I have found with the vitamins. Take them after eating!!! I tried one time to take mine without eating and ended up vomiting. Natural family planning ie pulling out can actually be very effective. I am also aware of people that can just look at there OH and get knocked up. I haven't told anyone either. I know my OH has told a colleague as they are trying too.

Great news about your hubby Basset hope this is upwards and onwards for you

cleanjean · 19/04/2017 12:20

Basset thanks for the tip! I'll make sure to eat first tomorrow. I had just thought it would be easier to remember if I did it right when I got up lol.

beautyisfoundwithin · 19/04/2017 12:40

Hi all, I've had a super busy few days, ended up having to work over the weekend/BH, plus we have 2 different sets of friends visiting atm (though not actually staying with us thankfully!), so not even had a moment to think!

Sorry to those with AF, as if AF isn't bad enough anyway, then we start TTC and it gets worse.

Yes Eva, good point about trying to pinpoint ov with opks, think I will get some ordered. Do most of you (opk users) use the smiley face ones? Can't decide if they are worth the extra money?!

Glad to hear you had an amazing time away Pyjamas. Sounds like just what you needed to relax and enjoy some time with your DH.

Good luck for your FW basset

cleanjean · 20/04/2017 14:43

Got mega sore boobs and 2 weeks & 1 day till AF due waaaah. Got this last month too, was sore till the day I got AF. DH doesn't know how easy he gets it with this whole baby making deal Envy

Loxy4527 · 20/04/2017 15:54

Hey everybody! Sorry to those who got AF. I bought a mooncup this month so I look forward to figuring out how to use that in a few weeks.

I had a little stumbling block on tracking ovulation testing, ended up going out with the lads at work and was drinking till 10.30 last night, whoops. totally forgot to test. Should be okay, will test when I get home but think it'll be tomorrow anyway.

Loxy4527 · 20/04/2017 19:51

phew! OPK was positive, so. Ya know. We're covered for this month now Grin Wink

clean Oh I let DH know every gory detail so I get the respect I deserve hahaha. He's very sympathetic. Hope you can find a way to make the wait go quicker for you :)

beauty I've never tried the smiley face ones, i find that the cheap amazon ones give me a pretty clear indication so i stick with them.

pjs Hey! Glad you had a good time, sounds lovely!

cleanjean · 20/04/2017 21:10

Loxy lol oh I keep DH well informed, he's probably more in tune with the stage I'm at in my cycle than I am lol, but he miraculously forgets each month that saying "you're just hormonal" or reminding me that I might be expecting AF is a huge no-no, even though he is usually correct!

The poor man tried to be cute and give me a huge hug today, and ended up having "MY BOOBS!!!!" yelled in his face lol. Still, he's got it easy.

KittyKat73 · 20/04/2017 21:49

its cd 40 ....... i can feel my hand twitching to go grab a test! because the bloatedness is totally pregnancy and not all the creme eggs iv gorged on Grin must stay true until cd 50!

clean aww thats good you havent been on the pill though means your body will be used to its own natural cycle :)

cleanjean · 21/04/2017 02:42

Kitty yeah that's true! And now I only get mood swings once a month rather than all the time like I did on the pill.

Loxy4527 · 21/04/2017 10:39

clean haha, oh DH was so disappointed when my boobs got tender last month. That was one upside to AF coming, being able to let him bear hug me again.

kitty you are doing so well, I know I won't have the strength to wait very long this month. Good luck!

cleanjean · 21/04/2017 10:59

Loxy glad its not just me!! They are still mega sore today as expected. Also had a terrible nights sleep last night as I kept waking up needing to pee despite having hardly drank any water yesterday (Whoops). Naturally this has my mind racing but I'm going to hold out till May 5th before I start getting any ideas. Well, I will try anyway!

KittyKat73 · 21/04/2017 20:00

Guess who caved today guys Blush

BFN on CD41 hmm looks like its going to be another ridiculous long cycle Angry I thought the provera would have kick started more regular normal cycles. Got my hopes up a bit as iv been feeling a bit nauseated on and off and ignoring its probally because of an unhealthy amount of easter chocolate!

feeling deflated althought i KNEW i wouldnt be pregnant no idea when i ovulated and we havent DTD much this month think its more annoyed at silly stupid cycles!

cleanjean · 21/04/2017 20:16

Kitty sorry to hear you had a BFN. And I thought my cycles were long at 35 days. Yours must be so frustrating!

Loxy4527 · 21/04/2017 20:44

Aw kitty sorry to hear that. Its so crap when you finally break and its not the answer you want. Sending hugs xxx

PillowFort · 21/04/2017 21:14

Poking my head in!

Sorry to hear about AF arriving for some of you. Fx for you all this month.

Kitty sorry about your BFN. You did really well to wait so long to test!

Glad to hear you and DH had a good time away Pyjamas. Sounds like it was the lovely break you both needed. Smile

Good news on your positive OPK Loxy! My friend uses a Mooncup and highly recommends it, but hopefully you won't have to use it any time soon.

Hello blanket! I'm sorry to hear about the work situation. My DH has similar experiences when he has time off. After coming back to a pile of unfinished work, he soon feels like he hasn't had a break at all. I hope everything is caught up for you and you're feeling more relaxed soon. Also, great username...Grin

Hi there clean! I know what you mean - DH never has to face the temptations of symptom spotting either! Envy

As for me, I'm now on CD23 of 26/27 day cycle. I've been peeing a bit more frequently, needing more sleep/earlier nights and feeling colder. Also had a few weird cramps/tuggings/pressure in my lower abdomen, but as many of you have said I'm sure it's just the extra chocolate. So much for not symptom spotting...Blush

I usually get headaches/migraines 2/3 days before AF arrives and I'm due on Tuesday/Wednesday, so we'll see what the weekend brings! Confused

I hope you all have a great weekend ahead of you.
