Hi pillow. Yes! I had a flashy face this morning so didn't bother dtd as was knackered. Came home and did more packing then decided to test and got static smiley face! So we've dtd and are checking into hotel tomorrow night as all furniture will have gone so will dtd then too!

Obv not expecting at all for it to work on first go and given my age but won't drink until get AF!

PillowFort · 11/04/2017 22:13

Great news Pyjamas and coastal! Fingers crossed for you both. Smile

Piehunter · 13/04/2017 09:34

Quiet in here!

basset how strange! Spotting/AF likesto mess with you and be confusing... Hope it's settled down and you're not too bruised after fall!

kitty fx for a shorter cycle this time!

pj's hope tww goes fast for you

Flora glad your chat with your mum was useful, my mum conceived first time both times and therefore is quite useless about the waiting! Has heard too many stories of people getting pregnant once they relax- everyone has one don't they! In all honesty the first 3 months I was petrified and would have freaked out if I was pregnant so you'd think if would have happened then! Plus at least 2/3 months since where we've been renovating (always happens on grand designs!) or moving or going on holiday so wouldn't be ideal.. None of these have invoked sods law 😂

coastal hope the move goes well

I'm 5/6dpo and no bleeding yet so that's better than last month! Having a couple of days away next week by the sea and period should just have arrived properly the day before we leave so that's good timing!

Pyjamas81 · 13/04/2017 12:11

It is indeed quiet in here!

Got a blazing opk yesterday day after positive opk day before so we dtd last night as well - we're knackered! We're currently on our way to the Lake District for our anniversary weekend 😊

Hope AF stays away pie

beautyisfoundwithin · 13/04/2017 15:13

Hi everyone!
If it's ok, I'd like to join this thread please? I must admit I've been lurking around the conception threads for tips for a while, but couldn't pluck up the courage to actually put myself out there Blush
I'm 31 (32 next month), TTC#1 for 6 months and a complete newbie to MN and the whole cycle tracking stuff tbh!
Been taking a very relaxed approach so far, literally just came off the pill and been making an effort to DTD more often, but after 6 months with no luck I'm starting to get a little down when AF shows up (yesterday Angry), and as I've seen how much support can be found on these threads I thought I'd take the plunge and join in.
Wishing you all lots of luck!

florafoxtrot · 13/04/2017 15:44

Pie - I maintain that the whole Grand Designs effect is Kevin McCloud - the shagger.

Welcome beauty

Loxy4527 · 13/04/2017 16:34

Hey everybody, welcome beauty

Bleeding has nearly cleared up now, thank goodness. Still not sure how I want to approach this month's baby making. I imagine I'll have my enthusiasm back next week. Will probably stick to opks and using conceive plus, seeing as it's worked twice now. Keep telling myself that the signs are good - conceiving 2 out of 5 cycles. If next time isn't the one it's off to the doctors to get myself seen to though. Hope you're all well! Xxx

florafoxtrot · 13/04/2017 16:56

Really nice to hear from you Loxy and sounding so positive and well. Your plans sound good to me in honesty, think I would be doing the same thing.

Loxy4527 · 13/04/2017 17:32

Thanks flora, it's nice to be back. DH is away for a few days so I thought it was a good time to catch up with everybody :)

Piehunter · 13/04/2017 17:37

pj's enjoy the lakes, we went for a 4 day honeymoon and again last year for our anniversary, love it there!

Welcome beauty

Hi loxy nice to see you again so soon, I hope you're looking after yourself and being kind to you Flowers

PillowFort · 14/04/2017 10:43

Welcome beauty. Sorry to hear you're feeling down at the moment.

Hope you both have a good time away, Pie and Pyjamas.

Welcome back, Loxy. Be kind to yourself. Your plans sound good, glad you're feeling more positive!

April now seems to be lasting forever, AF not due until 25th/26th. What is everyone up to over the Easter weekend? Smile

bassetmum · 14/04/2017 11:23

Hi pillow.

Glad your feeling better loxy. I did that really have anymore bleeding after monday just the odd bit of spotting. So who knows whats going on I might just do a ic tomorrow morning just in case.

Enjoy your hols pjs. Good job on the dtd.

My plans for the easter weekend is get the raised beds finished and ready for planting and nursing my puppy as she is being spayed today. Hope she'll be okay

beautyisfoundwithin · 14/04/2017 15:06

Thanks for the welcomes Smile

Really sorry to hear about what you've been going through Loxy Flowers

I'm feeling better today thanks Pillow, just have to think positive I guess!

Good luck with your puppy today basset, hope she recovers quickly.

My DH is working all weekend, so while the sun is shining I'll be busying myself in the garden.

PillowFort · 14/04/2017 15:57

Glad to hear you're feeling better today, beauty. Would it be worth trying something new this month, such as some form of tracking, to give yourself something positive to focus on? Smile

basset I hope you know more soon, the spotting must be so frustrating. Also I'm sure your puppy will be absolutely fine and then you can spoil her afterwards! Grin

Hope you both have a good weekend in the garden. We're sorting ours out in a couple of weeks - it needs completely gutting. It'll be a big job but I'm looking forward to eventually being able to garden as a hobby rather than as a chore.

beautyisfoundwithin · 14/04/2017 17:40

Yes I was thinking the same thing Pillow, partly why I joined the thread.
Last month we decided to get a little bit more serious about it, but decided to hold off on OPKs. Cycles seem to be 32/33 days - that seems long? But then again I really am new to all of this! We planned to DTD every other day from CD7 to CD22 in a bid to cover whenever ovulation happened. We did manage to stick to it but obviously no success. This plan just came from things I'd read online so would welcome any advice especially if I've got it totally wrong!

I feel your pain on the garden front, ours was the same when we moved in. Good luck with it!

PillowFort · 14/04/2017 19:06

I'm new to TTC myself, so I'm afraid I don't have much experience to offer at the moment! Sorry beauty Blush

DH and I are also trying to keep it relaxed since this is our first month TTC. I'm 26/27 day cycles, but I'm sure I'll be inexplicably late this month just because I'm on the lookout!

It doesn't sound like you've gotten it wrong at all. Reading around, I found DTD every other day was suggested a lot - especially if you're not tracking ovulation and trying to cover most of the month. The last thing you want to do is burn yourself out!

Although 32/33 days may feel long, it's good news that your cycles are regular! Should make it easier on you if you decide to start tracking. What sort of things are you looking at starting this month? Smile

And thank you! Lots of work ahead but I'm sure it will be worth it. Hope you've had a good day out in the sunshine.

Eva30 · 15/04/2017 07:16

Hey all
basset ouch that fall sounds nadty, glad you're OK. Has the bleeding stopped? What CD are you on?
PJs happy anniversary and have a great time in the lakes, I love it there.
Welcome beauty and pillow. Beauty, sounds like you're taking a good approach with the CD 7 to 22 plan but even if you just do opks for a few months it'll help to really pinpoint ov. But then knowing ov day can add pressure to DTD - catch 22, depends on you and DH.
loxy I'm so sorry. Perhaps go and see the Dr as didnt the same thing happen last month? They could run some bloods to check hormones are OK. Its nice to see you back after a few days break.

I'm on cd28, AF due Tues. Remember when I was an addicted poas-er?! Back in the days when I was full of hope. I don't even bother anymore. DH has stopped his antibiotics and has next sperm analysis booked in for 25th Apr with results a week later. Then we'll find out if the sperm agglutination was due to infection or the sperm antibodies (which requires sperm washing to separate sperm, then IUI or IVF). Who knew the swimmers were such complicated little things.

Piehunter · 15/04/2017 09:24

Naughty sperm Eva well, DH not you... I imagine you're feeling quite mixed up, finding a reason takes the hope but at least with it being a sperm issue definitively rather than unexplained fertility you know, and you'll get the assisted conception sooner than if you'd spent the next year doing tests on the NHS. Not trying to make light of it, obviously it's still a huge kick but there is hope Flowers hope that's not insensitive.

6/7dpo, still no bleeding yet. Good uterus!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 15/04/2017 10:51

Hello all, hope PJs and Pie enjoy their hols away and everyone else enjoys a few days off work with some chocolate eggs.

CD24 and the spotting is starting already. It's not implantation (much as I wish it were), this is my usual pattern. Plus I got a BFN on a FRER this morning. DH is gutted. Wants to cancel plans to see friends later. Even our dedicated 3am shagging hasn't helped. Maybe he's just exhausted at the thought of keeping up with all the DTD.

We have fertility consultation in a month's time and I was fantasising about getting a BFP and ringing to cancel but hey ho. I think a bit like Eva I don't get my hopes up too much, only POAS today to rule it out as I have acupuncture later. I feel a bit numb right now, I think it's self-preservation.

Off to Boots now to buy more fertility lube. And a lipstick 💄 to cheer me up for 5 minutes!

Hope someone here gets a BFP soon!

blanketfort · 15/04/2017 18:54

Hello all, sorry for my impromptu hiatus.

After the exams and the stress of returning to work to find none of my work had been covered for a whole fortnight it all got a bit much and I needed a break. I literally hid in my blanket fort every night after work for like 4-5 days wanting to cry. It just all got a bit on top of me. But I'm feeling much better now and more positive. Plus I've missed you lot and this thread!

I'm sorry to hear about all the AFs, and Loxy I'm so sorry, but your strength is shining through.

After last months unexpected bleeding and clotting I decided to use opk's to try and track but never got my static smiley 🙄

AF is due tomorrow and I can already feel the hags niggles starting. Looks like it's onto the next cycle for us.

KittyKat73 · 16/04/2017 17:46

Hey everyone!

its CD36 for me Angry think its going to be another 40ish cycle for me! every so often im tempted to POAS but staying true and waiting until CD50. Does anyone else get weird intense lower abdominal cramp pains? doesnt happen all the time but happened maybe 3 times over 2 days for me on wed/thurs was thinking maybe its late ovulation? but thought its a bit dramatic to be something so tiny happening inside me. wondering if its AF on her way but nothing yet. twice i have felt nauseated but internally shouted at myself to behave stop symptom spotting and wait until CD50!

Blanket thats rubbish! you would think someone would have taken over for you while you were off. Hope it gets less stressful for you.
Jene maybe sods law will take over before your appointment, hope you get a pretty lipstick Smile
Pie hope AF stays away for you!
eva hope your appointment goes well and you both get some good news!
Basset aww hope your wee puppy is recovering well after getting spayed. Hope your not too sore from the fall! I Was fine thanks apart from dented pride and bloody cat food everywhere! ( was carrying it at the time)
Loxy hope your keeping well!

Welcome Pillow and Beauty Smile

Happy Easter everyone! Easter Smile trying to not drown in creme eggs but they are too good!

Loxy4527 · 16/04/2017 20:58

Still here! Not much going on especially as DH has been away all weekend, looking forward to him coming home tomorrow :)

eva You're right, it did happen the same last month but for now I'm going to put it down to pure bad luck. It's quite difficult for me to get time off for doctors appointments at work, even more so when I can't say what it's for. For now I figure I'm healthy, I've had no pain and as long as I ovulate as normal again there's no reason to think that it won't happen soon. Of course if it happens the same way for a third time I will make an appointment straight away. :)

Blanket Sorry to hear you've had a rubbish time, sending hugs your way!

I managed to have a good chat with my oldest friend a couple days ago and let her know what was going on so I'll have someone I can tell in the future what's going on. Felt good to finally be honest with someone, I hate lying to people.

Anyway, Happy Easter to you all! Wine

JeNeBaguetteRien · 17/04/2017 09:48

Oh Blanket that sounds very stressful, hope things are easing (in work at least).

Hope that AF stays away Pie.

Loxy sorry for what you've been through. It's positive that you've been able to talk to your friend. Don't worry about the general "lying to people" though if you don't want to tell lots of people, it's just "not sharing your medical history".
But yes with friends it is hard. I turned down a girly group holiday as I'd hoped to be PG by then. Now it's imminent, I'm not, but I'm glad I didn't tell them as I don't want them to feel sorry for me, but more than that I don't want to be asked how it's going and if I'm pregnant yet. I could handle it from a close friend, but not from 8 of them!

Anyway, determined to enjoy the bank holiday, heading out somewhere with DH where we'll probably be surrounded by newborns. Need to stop with the negative thoughts!
Good luck all!

cleanjean · 17/04/2017 11:32

Hello!

27
Cycle #1*
CD - I've forgotten, argh! Definitely ovulated this week though and I have a five week cycle.

*DH & I are not using prevention and just "waiting to see what happens" which is all fair enough for him but I have to prepare my body on the off chance, and so have had to start tracking my periods otherwise towards the end of my cycle I don't know if I'm late or just forgot when AF is due - it's so frustrating!

Eva30 · 17/04/2017 22:27

Hi clean
pie no definitely not insensitive, in fact I really appreciate you finding a positive when I was struggling to! But you're right, at least we have an answer and should miss out a lot of the waiting time now.
loxy yeah, obvs hope it is to never happen to you again. But if it turns out you do need appointments it might be worth switching to a doctor's with more flexible appointment, evenings and weekings etc.

AF arrived today AngryAngry
