Nhs calculator says 11th October!

Sorry about bfn. :(

HeyJupiter · 04/02/2017 10:20

MrsC sorry about BFN... really hope that if AF Is coming she hurries up so you can move on. Last month I weirdly felt better once it arrived as gave a bit of closure.

So, need a bit of advice. Today is ovulation day (got my peak yesterday as you know) and so far this week we have DTD on -4,-2,-1. I think my DH is exhausted and really don't want him to feel pressure today to DTD (he's at work all day.) Do you think that will massively harm our chances? Should have quite a lot of spermies backed up and think I have actually ovulated already (maybe overnight) as have woken up to much less EWCM.

Obviously will see how he is tonight but tomorrow morning might be earliest we can manage. Don't want to treat him like a machine the poor lovely.

HeyJupiter · 04/02/2017 10:20

Dancing hope you have a day of celebrations! which HPTs did you use?

Wiggleyfingers · 04/02/2017 10:33

Congratulations Dancing!! Our second group BFP Starso exciting! Please do stick around to let us know how it's going.

Jupiter I think you're doing the right thing by leaving him be today! If he brings it up then go for it but it sounds like you've already done everything you can and it might do more harm to your relationship than good to your chances? I know I wouldn't want to feel pressured if I was too tired. Fingers crossed for you!!

Stats:
Age: 26
Ttc number 1 in May.
Preparing/Wedding planning in the mean time.
Cycle: 6 months off Mirena
Ovulation day 16 out of 29 day cycle
Weight loss so far: 4lbs
Weight loss to go: 14lbs.

orangefolly · 04/02/2017 10:36

Just catching up.

Red and Parsnips Flowers no judgment here too - sounds like you did the right thing. I'm sure you'll both be fine.

Dancing eek - congratulations!! Grin

I'm on CD17 of my first cycle. Not really actively trying until next month, but not trying not to anymore Smile

HeyJupiter · 04/02/2017 10:37

Thanks Wiggley, I'm not going to initiate anything tonight and if he wants to then great. He has been fantastic about the whole fertile week thing and he needs some looking after too. How is your wedding planning going? :)

Wiggleyfingers · 04/02/2017 10:54

It's going well thank you, I'm just panicking that I'm running out of time to lose the weight! I'm not over weight, I have a healthy BMI but I'm chubbier than I've ever been before so really hope I have the motivation to shift it so I can feel fabulous!
Currently on the hunt for some bridesmaid dresses too. 6 months today!

buzzmoon · 04/02/2017 11:05

Omg dancing congrats!!!!! Yay! So happy for you :)

buzzmoon · 04/02/2017 11:10

wiggly so exiting! What's the date of you wedding? Have you got many bridesmaids dresses to find?

HeyJupiter · 04/02/2017 11:26

Oh enjoy bridesmaid dress hunting! I miss all those bits of wedding planning so savour it :) Am sure you will look fabulous on your day whatever your weight but totally understand need to feel the best you can. Good luck.

DancingUnicorn · 04/02/2017 12:05

Jupiter, totally agree! Should be plenty in there, so no need to force things if he's tired. It's still important that it's enjoyable on the whole I think!

Wiggley, good luck on the dress hunt! Hopefully you find exactly what you're looking for for everyone!

Hpts, I bought some one-step (I think) ones on amazon. Less than a fiver for five. Second line today was still pretty faint. Also had a cb digital with weeks display left over from a scare a year or so ago!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 04/02/2017 12:23

Just seen the news! Congrats dancing that's amazing! You must be so excited Grin

My stats recap:

Age 30
TTC #2 (Mr Squirrel's #1!)
Got married a few months ago, been together nearly 7 years
Came off cerazette on 26 December
CD5 now (just finishing first AF post pill)
Weight loss: 2kg since Christmas, another 2kg to goal weight (about 5lbs)

buzzmoon · 04/02/2017 12:33

My recap:
Age 24
TTC #1 from May (wedding in July)
Weight loss: 24lbs since September 16- 14lbs to go, but been stuck like that for about 2 weeks now :(

TheGrumpySquirrel · 04/02/2017 12:33

Oh and I suppose this is cycle 1 for TTC.. trying to decide we try try this month (I will not be able to resist the OPKs even just to see when I ovulate) or just don't avoid fertile week.. a may or June conception would be nice so I can be off work in the summer months next year but I'm getting impatient!

Re OPKs, DH said so now you've got bored of the pregnancy tests you've moved on to harder sticks.. ? He thinks he's funny.

HeyJupiter · 04/02/2017 12:34

Dancing that's great, must be amazing to see the word "pregnant" come up on the digital one. Hope you guys are having a happy morning (and getting your head around it all!)

HeyJupiter · 04/02/2017 12:39

Grumpy maybe you could just stop all contraception, not be particularly careful but also not focus too much on DTD-ing in the fertile window... then if it happens it happens. Although it will be very tempting when you see the OPK line get darker.

I can't believe how statistically difficult it is to get pregnant, seems incredible it ever works for anyone!

I'm feeling psychologically and physically in a much better place this month. Less stressed, enjoying getting to understand my cycles a bit better and back into swing of work after Xmas. What will be will be I guess (remind me of this come AF weekend!)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 04/02/2017 12:50

Jupiter that's basically what we are doing, we aren't using any contraception at all anyway, so it technically could happen! Just depends if DH wants to DTD during fertile week to make it more likely or not!

buzzmoon · 04/02/2017 12:52

Same jupiter actually enjoying temping 😂 I'm so sad! And looking forward to seeing if it does dip/change in line with ovias prediction!

Wiggleyfingers · 04/02/2017 13:08

Buzz I have four bridesmaids so not too bad. Just finding something to suits everyone and makes them feel beautiful too. How are your plans coming along?

Jupiter I completely see what you mean. I can never understand how people can "not really try but not really prevent" I would never have that much self restrain to time it right. Far too impatient and too much of a control freak to just relax and dtd.

confusedat23 · 04/02/2017 14:01

Sorry ladies I am currently looking after Nanny Confused this weekend and she takes up a lot of time! Lol... ive just skimmed over the previous posts...

Massive Congrats Dancing its so exciting to hear of a BFP!

Currently still on High Fertility today so not a clue whats going on but Mr Confused is away for the weekend and wouldnt DTD last night so only managed 2 times in what should have been FW...

Stats are:
Age: 24
TTC: no 1
Cycle no: 1 officially following a CP of a magical Pre-Cum baby!
BFP Due: supposedly Valentines Day (wouldn't that be perfect!?!?) but who knows really as OPKs have failed me this month!

Also who was it that wanted the link for the OPKs kit? It is www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00RPG8R84/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=mumsnetforum-21

DancingUnicorn · 04/02/2017 14:15

Confused, if it makes you feel better we only dtd at the very beginning and very end of expected fw as I was away, so it is possible!!

confusedat23 · 04/02/2017 14:25

You know what Dancing that makes me feel 100000x better lol i need to calm down a bit i think...

I bet you are so happy!

OP posts:
DancingUnicorn · 04/02/2017 14:28

Happy, absolutely, but also completely bricking it!!

Oysterbabe · 04/02/2017 14:44

Congratulations Dancing!! Amazing news :D I'm so happy for you.

We're just back from a 1st birthday party for one of the babies from my NCT group. I was looking at all the babies and thinking about how mine is the cutest by far and that they probably all think the same thing about theirs :)

Ttc #2, 13 month old DD

Weight lost: 8lbs since 3rd Jan.

buzzmoon · 04/02/2017 16:25
