Oh red so sorry to hear what you've been through. I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine, maybe pop to your gp if you are really worrying.

confused in the same, I have to be left alone to go to sleep hehe

Went for my smear today, and the nurse was so lovely. She said maybe the next time I see you will be in baby clinic! I was like 😏 How exciting! She also said don't wait for 1 year if things don't happen, we could go in earlier so that's reassuring

buzzmoon · 03/02/2017 11:22

Well done on weight loss too!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/02/2017 11:31

Red no worries, glad you feel you can share Smile

I am CD4 now, exciting! AF is almost done!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/02/2017 11:33

I'm going through work hell right now.. if me and DH salaries were the other way round I would quit today! And I am very career driven so that is saying something Angry

buzzmoon · 03/02/2017 11:36

Oh no grumpy! What's wrong??

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/02/2017 11:40

Can't say as it's too outing but I'm being blamed for senior mgmt mistakes and it's all a bit depressing. Corporate politics at its best! But they have me in golden handcuffs with a DD in private school who loves her school

HeyJupiter · 03/02/2017 12:18

Seven just asked our team psychiatrist about SSRI use and male infertility (in a general sense). Apparently there is some limited research to say that it can impact on sperm motility but that it is minimal and completely reversible if your DH did stop taking them. However the impact on his mental health may also impact on fertility so worth bearing that in mind if he did stop them. I work with loads of men on antidepressants who have lots of healthy children.

confused so glad DH on board! Don't worry about your peak, you probably just missed it (or will come today/tomorrow) just keep DTD-ing

Red I'm so sorry you've been through so much. The whole TTC journey must be so emotive. Am sure there is no lasting damage physically and was clearly the right decision for you at the time Flowers

Just got peak OPK at work! Am CD11 so will ovulate most likely CD12 - I knew it would be early this month. Have had 5 days of EWCM and DTD yesterday and two days before that. Definitely will be on it tonight and tomorrow :)

HeyJupiter · 03/02/2017 12:19

Grumpy same this end! So sorry you're having a rubbish work day. I'd quit immediately too if financially an option..

Oysterbabe · 03/02/2017 12:29

Sorry to hear about the shitty days at work Flowers I know how that feels and it really sucks.

Exciting about the peak OPK Jupiter. Sounds like you'll have plenty of sperm waiting already but the more the better :)

I'm not looking forward to all the sex that comes with ttc. I'm so tired that once a week is enough for me atm! I took my last mini pill yesterday. No idea when ovulation might happen, it took about 30 days to get a period last time so it could happen in a couple of weeks.

Mummyme87 · 03/02/2017 12:33

I don't want to quit work as wouldn't want to be a SAHM, however wish I could reduce my hours. Just not financially feasible at the moment after buying a new house last year, looking to buy a new car, a baby soon hopefully, a year of mat leave and a wedding to plan! I will reduce my hours slightly after another baby but not massively.

I bought CB OPK 😤 Didn't want to this month, but it was on offer!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/02/2017 12:57

Mummy I would not want to be a SAHM either, I'd go spare! It would be nice to have the option though... I think I will reduce my hours after baby though, hope DH and I can both go 4 days

If anyone's at home and didn't see the live show, on itv+1 at 2pm on loose women they are talking about the stress of TTC sex

Redpony1 · 03/02/2017 13:43

Thank you everyone Smile

Parsnips Flowers Mine is on my records i think, as i was GP led and had lots of follow ups at the GP. My dad was so upset but i am his little girl so he came round, my mum however was super proud of me for making a good adult decision. I told my mum and she told my dad, i didn't want him to know.

Hope work improves Grumpy, we spend to long at work not to like it!!

mummy i will catch that on catch up TV, thank you

Seven0fNine · 03/02/2017 14:03

Awww red and parsnips you sound like an amazingly strong women. I'm sure you'll not have trouble ttc red. You know you can talk to us about anything here xxx (except the only thing I'm against is people posting pics of their cm in their knickers or their af on a tissue asking if it's implantation...There's been far too much of that on MN over the past few days, bleeergghhhh)

Thanks so much Jupiter xx that's such a kind thing to do and a relief to hear. He only started them a couple of months ago after years of anxiety and depression and they do seem to be helping a bit. He's been referred for some counselling too but is on a very long waiting list. We've been ttc since end of July but it's took such a long while for my cycles to sort themselves out that I hadn't really thought much about DH fertility.
I suppose we'll just have to wait and see!

Sorry about shitty work Grumpy

Fingers crossed for a speedy return to your cycles oyster

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/02/2017 14:45

Omg seven I am with you on that one! Someone posted a brown clot the other day I was like WTAF Confused

Oysterbabe · 03/02/2017 14:48

Yeah there's no need for that 🙈 A description is enough.

Redpony1 · 03/02/2017 14:56

OMG yes! The amount of tissue and a PAD picture the other day too! Seriously! When i had unusual CM i Googled, i didn't burn peoples eyes with a photo Angry

buzzmoon · 03/02/2017 15:04

Haha with you on that 🙋🏽

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/02/2017 15:31

Eww seven tell me your joking! That is rank! Seriously just wait and take the damn test! You can't rely on what anyone else thinks anyway!! Hope you're all well. Me and DH are back in Manchester today - got a wedding tomorrow and then off skiing 🎿

MrsC2017 · 03/02/2017 15:41

Hi girls!! Happy friday, hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Alot to catch up on, had a mental week in work which pays me so Crap I would almost be better off packing it in but would also go spare staying at home!
red and parsnips its clear you both made the right decision for yourselves at a particular time and anyone who has a problem with that can just f**k off in my opinion! We have huge issues in this country over a woman's right to choose, termination in all forms is illegal still here including in the case of fatal foetal abnormalities and women have to travel to the UK if they wish to terminate, it's outrageous and archaic and so very typical of this country. A woman died from sepsis as she was unsuccessfully miscarrying (late) and nothing could be done as they could still detect a heartbeat. Sorry I went off on tangent there but bottom line is that you were totally right to do what you felt was right at the time for you.
seven Omg totally I did not know that was a thing until I naively clicked into a post.... Why Oh why!!
oyster I thought the sex marathon would kill me coz I'm a once a weeker normally but actually the more I did the more I felt like doing so hopefully the mood will take you too!
jupiter good luck with bd tonight!! Let's hope it's a lucky one!
grumpy sorry about work, hope u manage to destress over the weekend!
BFN again this morning, so def out, awaiting AF who I imagine will arrive in the morn! Not sure how my cycle will work next month with this random cycle but we shall see!

buzz hope smear was OK, I remember thinking the nurse was digging for gold during my last one!
OK think I'm caught up now, sorry for extra long post!

Redpony1 · 03/02/2017 16:02

Ohh i missed Jupiter having a smear! Hope it was ok.
I had one in November and i have been given the all clear to go on to annual tests rather than 6monthly (had CIN III in 2014 & had an operation so have been monitored closer)

I haven't mentioned it as i thought i had pulled a muscle, but i've had a hideous stitch pain in the right side since Sat, on & off. Apparently a Google says this could be very early pregnancy related. However, i am still convinced it is a pulled muscle and refuse to symptom spot!

buzzmoon · 03/02/2017 16:24

Confused could you link me your bargain opk kit? Thanks!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/02/2017 18:17

So me and DH are in this lovely hotel for friends wedding and just DTD and the bloody condom burst so we have an unprotected situation and have no idea when my fertile days are as not had a cycle yet. Not the end of the world if it happens. Both laughing as condom was "intimate feel" and DH was like wow it's like not wearing one, unaware the bloody thing had popped and rolled right down!! 😂😂😂

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/02/2017 18:23

Ps - thanks for nice messages and understanding - you are all lovely. I was quite judgmental about abortions previously having grown up in Ireland where the attitude to that choice is completely frowned upon and never discussed openly. Even in the UAE I was made to feel ashamed for having a contraceptive implant as it isn't my place to decide when or if I have children. The colleague I mentioned from the Philippines earlier this week told me that the reason why his wife had to give birth out of dubai was because she wasn't allowed a sterilization as they decided she was too young - she's 32 and just had her third child and they can't afford anymore. It's terrible. If men had babies it would be so different.
