Just a follow on from our 1st thread!

Theres is our motherhen, we are all just a bunch of crazy ladies either TTC or waiting to start!

Yay justify my flashing face! Hopefully peak tomorrow or next day... will try and DTD for next 3/4 days to cover it.

Re. Testing: you book a 15 min consultation & they take the blood during this, but a couple can share the consultation (and pay one fee) So I'm going to write down all the info so the Dr can read it quickly and then advise whether we both need the test or just DH... I'm expecting them to say I should have it!! Why miss out on an extra £140ish!

Hb that's great, how long does it take before the results come back? Might be worth you both having it I guess to be extra sure. Am sure will be fine either way. Are you going to start TTC as soon as you get the all clear?

jupiter They say results within 7-10 days but a girl on the Zika board got tested at the same place & got the results next day, so FX!

Yeah, that's the only thing holding us bk so we'll get on it after that!!

Well, still no AF. Tested, and bfn! (And successfully no comedy routine this time!) S bit annoyed with my body. Wondering if it's stress dragging out my cycle, or if it is because of vits? Only taking vit c, d and folic though, not complete conception vits. Anyway, I guess I play that time of the month game of 'check the pants' again today!

confused you do make me laugh with your wee cup antics! Hope DH starts behaving himself soon. I am not telling mine when it's fertile week. I just pounced on him last week when I got my positive opk which I think he liked cos he normally instigates stuff.

buzz lowering the tone is totally acceptable. Hope you enjoyed your Indian. I had hump day wine in the tww. Ooopsie...I had a long day and we were having steak so it was a necessity.
My diet has totally gone out the window. Need to get back on it desperately. At least I've not put on weight but not lost any either which isnt a surprise (she says eating two crumpets with best butter 🙄 for breakfast)

wiggly your list is a great idea. Think I need to do one and definitely a savings plan! I guess that can be this month, last month we sorted the car out.

Sorry about BFN unicorn, I had mine yesterday, still no AF but expecting her tomorrow! I am taking the exact same vitamins as u, c and d and folic acid, tbh I think that's all we need!

Wow you guys have been chatty! AF's knocked me for six, I'm so exhausted & thankfully working from home today. I wonder if I need to take some iron? There's a lot more blood than I'm used to (before I was on mini pill with no periods, I was on combined pill with withdrawal bleeds each month, not a lot of flow). I slept until 8.20am. Bliss! Trying to emerge now and start work. But first coffee ☕️

grumpy sorry to hear that AF is a bitch, I'm also wfh today, currently in my dressing gown under a blanket answering my emails I love it!

Seven, AF was due yesterday. Honestly, I really don't think I'm pg. Dtd timing was all wrong this month. So would quite like AF to just come and go so we can refocus our efforts!!

Aw sucks that AF is bad grumpy hopefully it's just the first one having a good clear out & that will be the last of it

Confused my DP is the instigator of our TTC journey, he's desp to be a dad but he also thought that you could get pregnant any day between periods. I had to explain to him but not sure he totally get s it, either that or he doesn't like being told when we should dtd....

Sorry about bfn Unicorn, hopefully AF doesn't keep you hanging on too long. I have read loads of people not getting their bfp's until 5 or 6 days after their period was due though, so there could be some hope??

I am at work, waiting for 10am to come round as trying to get Ed Sheeran tickets! Will be my 3rd time seeing him if i get them. I am obsessed by him

DH has been sending me flirty texts this morning. I think he knows i was dissapointed with him last night but tbh its not just ttc just feel like a widower to the pc atm! But at least he is trying!

Red i understand DH doesn't like to be told to do anything lol... he reverts to a 16 year old moody teenager when that happens lol

So i am currently OPKing every wee today to try and catch the surge! The line is darker now than this morning (5am) so hopefully surge tonight/early tomorrow morning

Confused how do you know when it peaks? So say the OPK line is as dark or darker than control line, you don't know if next OPK will be even darker again or start to lighten, so how can you know it's peak/surge? And when it's max dark, does that mean you have ovulated already or you are just about to? Sorry for all the questions

Failed on Ed Sheeran tickets, i had 4 different tickets sites up, my friends were doing the same, for varying locations and dates to up the chances, none of us managed to get any before the whole tour sold out!! So annoyed, some already on ebay at much inflated prices!! I wish ebay would ban ticket sales.

When I did the opks this month Grumpy they gradually got darker over a few days. On the day it was positive, I took one around mid morning and it was as dark as the control line so I took another a few hours later and it was even darker so normally that means you ovulate the next day. And sure enough I had achy pains and backache the next day so I think I ovulated.
I think they say the optimal time to dtd is a couple of days before ovulation. I dtd the day before I got my positive opk and a few days before that so hopefully that was enough! But didn't have time to do it on the day of the positive opk. Anyway the morning after the positive day, I did another and it was lighter than the control again so I knew surge was over....

Grumpy Ask as many questions as you like!!! I am one of the few people that gets paperwhite OPK's until their surge in which is it very obviously darker than the control line... However this month is different because I did not get a line this morning but I know I should surge today. I will probably do another one at 1pm to see if the line is getting darker. I also then seem to go back to paperwhite ones the day after my surge.

Some people (Like Red I think?) Get a gradual build up in colour to their surge and then it fades back to negative afterwards. That way I think is nice because you can see progress lol but either way is perfectly normal

Red I was also on 4 different sites trying and on some I did not even get out of the loddy before 10:30... Its so annoying! I think DH will because I was very upset with him last night (He deffo deserved it)! lol

Confused I can't moan, i have seen him live twice already (after each album release) but not seeing him live after the 'divide' release will be annoying!

& yes, i got paperwhite OPK's, then a gradual build up over a few days until surge, back down to paperwhite again. Not sure if that's typical for me or not, it was my first month ever tracking my cycle.

Thanks for all the explanations ladies! I had a very faint line a couple of days before AF so I assume I'll have that all cycle until it gets darker. Can't wait to start using them again. So I'll wait a week after AF finishes and see what's going on.

Gurumpy If you cound first day of AF as CD1 I would start using them from CD10... That is what most charts recommend for 28 day cycle I think... although in your set of OPK's (I think it was the same as mine) it had a chart in there which said which day to start

Red you are so lucky! I have never seen him... Maybe try for resale? I think that is what I am going to do!

My 1pm OPK was the same as earlier so I am looking more likely for a tomorrow morning surge... I am very happy with that as I think counting the possible CP from last month pushed me a day forward on CD1 anyway and then we will have hit that all important dtd 2 days before OV day!
