Just a follow on from our 1st thread!

Theres is our motherhen, we are all just a bunch of crazy ladies either TTC or waiting to start!

I started temping yesterday, might struggle as DS is waking up at night so disturbed throughout the night. Oh well, it all helps along with All my other tracking.

I've just had a bloke at the door (8.20pm) from battersea cat and dog home asking me to sign up to donate 🤔 OH is out so I was a bit dubious about answering In the pitch black. He had an iD badge on but was turned around. Lots of dodgy reports of men and women at people's doors recently selling stuff etc but actually trying to assess your home, burgle etc 😑

Oh confused I hear you. OH isn't really involved in this TTC business apart from the obvious. He hasn't got a clue, although he knows I poas for ovulation, doesn't actually get it though. And he knows he will get a week of BD

Sounds frustrating confused!

Last time I didn't talk to DH about fertile windows really, we were having enough sex anyway and I didn't want him to feel pressured. I will this time, I'm too tired to dtd 90% of the time so would prefer to focus our efforts at the right time!!

Last pill tomorrow and we're cracking straight on. I'll give it a week then start the opks I think.

Ohh confused I forgot that you were staying with your nan (could you not DTD there, even if you are sleeping on the floor?) My DH finds the whole OPK thing really off putting, doesn't really want to hear about how it works which is fine. He has been good so far but even he said "I can't have sex on schedule" the other day. Maybe he doesn't need to know about the fertile window at all?

My DH completely surprised me by knowing about 'fertile week' before i did!
When I came off the pill & started casually researching TTC I was shocked to find out there were so few days you could get knocked up (they defo don't teach that in schoOL!) I told DH and he was like yeah I know.. Him and his work bestie had discussed it when he was TTC apparently... Had no idea men had these conversations!

Zika test booked for 22nd Feb :)

Great news about the zika test Hb. Fingers crossed for a negative result. Did you book one for yourself in the end?

Confused my DP is supportive but has made it quite clear he doesn't need to know all the ins and outs. I'm more than happy to do the scientific stuff behind the scenes, tried very hard not to leave OPK's lying around the house last month!

Buzz and Parsnips it's so nice to have people who are feeling the frustrations of waiting! I seem to be having a couple of 'good' days where I am chilled and at peace with waiting, followed by a crazy broody day where it feels like it will never come around. I have made myself a little'TTC Checklist' though Smile

I've had one of those days at work where I know I will be more than happy to drop to part time (if we can afford it!)

Hb excellent about the test date. Fingers crossed. So if you and DH both get all clear then nothing to worry about? Are you both going to have it done? Sorry I don't really know how it works :)

Checklist:

January: start OPKs (and lose a few pounds!)
February: start prenatal vitamins
March: buy pregnancy milestone cards, I've found some lovely ones on Etsy!
April: Sort out a savings plan
May: Maybe buy this cute little baby grow which says "you're greatest adventure" as a pregnancy announcement for DP. He is a huge adventurist and have travelled loads so I thought this would be cute. Although I am a bit nervous about buying something which I may not be able to use for a long time if I don't get pregnant quickly!
June: Start TTC!

I guess it's not so much a checklist as more of a countdown. It helps me feel like I'm doing something every month that is a step closer! Desperate times ladies! Blush

Thinking of savings. I'm frantically trying to pay off my credit card I seem to have built up again. There are a few expensive bits I want to buy this time round so could do without a big credit card bill.

My AF date is today. Not appeared. I'm pretty annoyed as completely convinced I'm not upduffed this month. And planned drinks with a friend tomorrow night! Tested yesterday, whiter than white bfn. May test again in the morning if no appearance overnight!
