Plenty of cars do not have isofix buzz, there are many seats out there up to current standards that do not require isofix. which is good as how would people who can't afford newer cars be able to take their babies anywhere? Grin I have a 2008 car, it does have isofix though. Both our cars are 3 doors so we will have to struggle until baby can get in and out on their own. (Refuse to change my nice car for a 5 door, there are just some compromises i won't make Blush )

Hope you enjoy working from home today grumpy Brew

HPeveryday · 20/01/2017 09:57

buzz our first car seat we didn't get the isofix one. Just wanted a normal car seat as we had to carry the baby from the hospital to the car and it's such a faff with a small car to attach the isofix etc. My son had several appointments to different hospitals during the first few weeks following birth as there were some minor issues. So we had to take him in and out of the car a lot and decided to have a normal car seat as it's less hassle with a small car.

We have now upgraded to an isofix one as he's too big for the normal one ( plus we had the vomiting bug where en route to the hospital he puked all over it so had to get rid of it)
We don't take this car seat out anymore as we just lug him around either in our arms or in an ergo carrier.
I am sure you can still get car seats without the isofix.
Just wanted to share my experience with you.

Mummyme87 · 20/01/2017 10:32

Yes you can still get non ISO fix cars although isofix was a godsend for us.. just clicking the seat in and out of a base instead of using a seat belt around it every time. Our current car seat is the maxincosi axiss which is great, spins around so easier to get fighting toddlers in.. it's not ISO fix however.

Mummyme87 · 20/01/2017 10:33

That was meant to be car seat not cars

MrsC2017 · 20/01/2017 11:06

We got is officially when DS was 6months but before that the car had a base that could be strapped into the car and then u just click the seat in and out of the base much like an isofix so I know that was several years ago now but there should be some options! I always wanted that spin around seat, I'm def getting it this time! I also need an off road buggy for where we live.... Hmmmm.... All these things I need for a baby I don't have yet Grin

Redpony1 · 20/01/2017 11:13

MrsC the only buggy that DP has looked at are off road type ones he can run with! So so many babies and toddlers are pushed around Parkrun's on Saturday and around races all summer haha!

MrsC2017 · 20/01/2017 11:19

unicorn the tracking is definitely a help, I reckon I'm ovulating late today, don't have any OPKs left but might run out and get one after work although I may have missed, but had the ewcm yesterday a few hours after negative OPK (my last one) so reckon it was last night or today which is later than I thought and than ovia thought so it's definitely beneficial to know what's going on, it's actually quite empowering too I think to know yourself so well! I'm going to put every twinge into ovia and see if it can get to know me better for next cycle! Hopefully I can master myself over the coming months and somehow get myself pregnant!

MrsC2017 · 20/01/2017 11:21

red ooh you'll have to send me his recommendations! I need a tractor in buggy form!

Mummyme87 · 20/01/2017 11:53

I so want a new pram with next baby but can't justify it. I have a bugaboo Cameleon 3 which cost the best part of £1k 😵 I will send it for a service and buy new fabric colour to mKe it feel new. I will be buying a different cot this time. I didn't do a Moses basket as don't like them so got a 'petit cot' from mamas and papas which was great and lasted until 8months, but will get a bed side cot (love the Chico next to me) to help with night time feeding and so I don't have to keep getting out of bed throughout the night!!

Tigger83 · 20/01/2017 12:34

So I buckled and did a test... bfn theres a slight chance there was a very faint line but not certain certainly not something you'd see on a picture and I might be seeing something tbh. Please reassure me I'm still not out! It was a one step early test jobby from Amazon. Not due af until 25th according to ovia or 23rd by my calculations!

Redpony1 · 20/01/2017 12:42

Tigger put down the sticks!! AF not due for 3 or 5 days seems to make a massive difference from what i've read on here. You're not out till AF arrives Flowers

Tigger83 · 20/01/2017 12:43

Thanks red Flowers

Redpony1 · 20/01/2017 12:47

Oh oh oh, I forgot to say, I found my cervix! (Not that it has been missing, i just didn't know how to find it....)
Anyway, how do i know if it's high or low? TMI sorry, but I can currently reach it with my index finger at a stretch, it feels round, wet and totally not what i was expecting Blush Blush Blush

MrsC2017 · 20/01/2017 12:58

Tigger stay strong no more testing til Monday at least! It'll be more definitive one way or the other by then hopefully, you're def not out by today's test, too early!
red well done I had a go but wasn't sure what the hell I was feeling up there, felt like I went around a corner and then I got lost, must try again!

Mummyme87 · 20/01/2017 13:02

red checked your cervix daily and you will learn what is high or low.

My cervix today is very high still

Redpony1 · 20/01/2017 13:13

MrsC that's how i felt first of all! Just kinda, nothing... haha

Mummy does it sound like i have found the right thing?

Redpony1 · 20/01/2017 13:26

I found this link, i found it fairly helpful!

Probably not safe for an open office if you are at work haha

m.wikihow.com/Feel-Your-Cervix

Mummyme87 · 20/01/2017 13:45

red sounds right. Feels wet and reasonably firm, weird texture

Heyitsholly · 20/01/2017 15:17

Alwaystimefortea im still here. Reading everyday you chatty lot!
Lost my appetite completely otherwise fine
Got my booking appointment next friday 👍🏻
Im excited to see who the next bfp is!

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 20/01/2017 17:25

Oh exciting holly! Have you shared the news with anyone else yet or just keeping it between you and DH? Hope you get your appetite back soon!

HeyJupiter · 20/01/2017 17:44

Seven how did the OPK this afternoon go?

Tigger sorry about BFN but definitely very early to test so I wouldn't take that as definitive at all. Maybe try again on Sunday or Monday? The faint line you saw might be the start of a positive. Have FX for you.

Red - so glad you haven't lost your cervix! Definitely something you won't find down the back of the sofa Grin Sounds very much like you've found it. Will dare to open your link now I'm back home.

Holly so glad all going well, can't wait to see the next BFP either!

Can feel AF gearing up here (due Sunday.) All my usual pre-AF symptoms and right on time boo. Oh well, will still test this weekend if AF hasn't shown up. Will keep you all posted.

buzzmoon · 20/01/2017 18:16

Very exciting holly!!

I've already picked my dream items: bugaboo donkey pram (would love 2 bubbas close together, so actually I'd be saving money?!)
Britax dual fix (one of those spinny ones!)
Stokke Sleepi crib
And a new car to fit it all in!
So just need to remortgage the house/ win the lottery and I'm set!

I can dream eh!

DancingUnicorn · 20/01/2017 21:39

Wow, I feel completely clueless! I haven't got a clue about baby things... I know I'd quite like a new car, but haven't thought beyond that far!

Holly glad to hear you're doing ok!

Mrsc I can't figure out the ewcm thing. No idea when it's ew! I must have ovd already... af due 1st Feb. How short can the luteal phase be?!

MrsC2017 · 20/01/2017 22:49

unicorn I'm due 2nd of Feb, got more OPKs today all negative, if I don't get one by tomorrow I reckon I either didn't ov this month or my IC OPK sticks didn't pick it up but most likely I didn't, some months I know I have def got ewcm and there is quite a bit,it's clear I think is the give away, this month just a little today and yesterday, logged in ovia which updated my fertile week to last til Sunday, I actually will not be dtd again until next months fertile week at this rate, moving into day 9 with one day off as a break and I'm pretty sure there is no egg there to fertilise for all DHs efforts..... This is such a trial and error process! Think leutal phase can be as short as 10days so I'm ruled out really coz this is CD15 of 26. Next month better go like clockwork for me or I'll not be impressed!
holly glad you haven't been ill, hopefully appetite will return to normal soon
buzz that is an impressive list!
jupiter fx for you, AF and preg symptoms are pretty similar so you never know!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/01/2017 22:49

Very sore / sensitive nipples Blush which I never got even pre pill. It's so hard not to symptom spot isn't it? 13, 10, 6 and 0 days Grin since last unprotected DTD! No idea if ovulation has re started since the pill. 25 days since I stopped taking it. If no AF in next two weeks & BFN, I might order some OPKs..
