Negative OPK again CD18 but Ovia recons my fertile week doesn't start until Wednesday. She's been pretty useless previous months but actually adjusted and accepted I'm not having 28 day cycles this month which is nice of her.

red I'm gonna be having a feel for my cervix later on now ha!

Grumpy you're right, it is hard! But since my first month symptoms have been no where near as bad and you get to know what happens when. Which is great but my biggest symptom is loads of spots before af 😪

HeyJupiter · 21/01/2017 09:01

A very clear BFN for me this morning all, snowy white and no hint of a line. It's okay, I knew that would be the case after all my normal pre-AF symptoms. Due tomorrow but it's most certainly on its way.

Its disappointing but onto next month. It's just all the waiting that's so hard isn't it. Anyway the positives are: posh lunch with wine tomorrow, hair being coloured week after next (with root stretcher on my scalp ha!), work party next weekend... oh and not having a baby with a due date that would clash with loads of birthdays/wedding anniversary.

Seems wrong when your OPKs say there is an egg coming and you put some sperm next to it and it still doesn't get its act together Grin
Might have a duvet day as DH at work.

Have a lovely weekend all.

Mummyme87 · 21/01/2017 09:08

Morning ladies. Home from my night shift.
CD20, 6DPO. Symptom spotting. Pelvic/groin pain/twinges for the last couple of hours, more on left side. Right boob is achey. Cervix high, white watery discharge 😬🤞🏻

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/01/2017 09:36

Ooh mummy that's exciting! Is white watery discharge a sign? I had that last Sunday and Monday, loads of it!! Very odd.

Sorry about the BFN Jupiter enjoy your duvet day!!

I'm off to yoga Grin

Mummyme87 · 21/01/2017 09:52

grumpy I have no idea is it's a sign 😂

buzzmoon · 21/01/2017 12:11

Morning all! Hope you have wonderful weekends!

buzzmoon · 21/01/2017 12:11

Wow it's not even morning 😂 Can you tell I've had an incredibly lazy morning!

DancingUnicorn · 21/01/2017 15:03

Sorry about the bfn Jupiter. Hope you have a lovely meal and wine tomorrow.

I'm in the process of trying to make plans with friends. Trying very hard to ignore the 'but what if I'm pregnant then' voice in my head. Attempting to aim for weeks af is due, at least that way if I'm not able to drink it's for an actual reason, rather than a potential reason!

Totally agree, this waiting is hard. I keep getting twinges and feeling a bit nauseous. But I know I'm definitely imagining it. No idea how many dpo I am. But not enough for symptoms. I'm looking forward to next month. This first one has sucked!!

Mandraki · 21/01/2017 15:24

Hey all,

Age 26
TTC #1
Cycle 1
CD 6dpo

Very excited to be here! Trying to play it cool and not symptom spot but as I'm feeling a bit odd today I'm starting to wonder. Just going to test next weekend if AF doesn't come and take it from there. Hoping it doesn't take too long!

Mandraki · 21/01/2017 15:27

Also I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager but since coming off the pill I've had 3 cycles (only been trying since beginning of the year) and have ovulated each time so I'm keeping everything crossed that somehow I have magically lost the PCOS after 10 years on the pill!

buzzmoon · 21/01/2017 15:31

Welcome mandraki!

Mandraki · 21/01/2017 15:32

Thank you! Smile

MrsC2017 · 21/01/2017 16:06

Hi mandraki! Hope it's your month!
jupiter sorry about BFN, spoiling yourself is the right thing to do, so enjoy that posh lunch! I think it should be a rule of the group that everyone has to do something nice for themselves if they get a BFN.
mummy that all sounds promising! Fx
seven I am getting nothing but occasional squinters on OPKs, no idea if or when I have ovulated, gonna leave my bloods til next cycle coz no point going in if I don't know when 7days after ovulation is, ovia adjusted itself and have given me a fertile window til tomorrow but tbh I'd say if there was one it's been and gone! Anyway I reckon I def haven't conceived this cycle and am taking the positives, a really good friend is getting married right around when I would have been due so now I definitely won't miss it!
grumpy I got a pile of OPKs for about 4quid on Amazon if you are thinking of purchasing!
Enjoy the weekend everyone!!!

DancingUnicorn · 21/01/2017 16:14

Mrsc definitely agree about doing something positive when bfn/af ruins a month for us!! I will need ideas that are not food based! I was feeling miserable today so had chocolate for breakfast...

MrsC2017 · 21/01/2017 16:20

unicorn yes food and drink free rewards would be ideal, otherwise I'll be treating myself to cheeseboards on the regular! Confusedso send on the ideas, a pedicure is always a nice treat and doesn't break the bank! I'll put my thinking cap on!

Mandraki · 21/01/2017 16:21

I second that about Amazon OPK's, I wasn't sure when I'd be ovulating so I spent about £4 and got enough sticks to wee on every day until I got a positive. Oh the glamour!

Wiggleyfingers · 21/01/2017 18:51

Jupiter I love your positive attitude! Here's some ideas for food free treats:

  • at home (or salon) facial.
  • go out and buy some really indulgent bath/shower/pamper stuff and light some candles.
  • buy a treat glossy magazine or browse a book store and have an hour to yourself with a cup of tea or wine.
  • cinema trip with your DP/best friend.
  • treat yourself to a beautiful bouquet 💐.

I really need that today. Just visited a friend and her newborn and our other mutual friends popped in too. They are also parents so me and DP were the only childless ones which meant that we got left out of all conversations and spent the entire time not being able to join in. At one point I was almost in tears (PMS) then to make it worse, I get home and update my PMS on Ovia for them to come up with this little nugget!

WE'RE NOT EVEN TRYING YET!! Sad

DancingUnicorn · 21/01/2017 18:59

Wiggley 💐 I'm sorry! Really tough. Im feeling a little weepy from looking at baby things on Pinterest. Completely self inflicted, so also feel pretty stupid! I feel like this could be a long road ahead. Here's to us all picking each other up. Is there something you can treat yourself to today?

Love your non food self-kindness ideas!

DancingUnicorn · 21/01/2017 19:00

Also, completely convinced from all your comments that ovia is not the app for me!!

Wiggleyfingers · 21/01/2017 19:06

Thanks, the worst part is I know I am completely unjustified in feeling left out because it would never be intention but today it really felt spiteful. They are great friends and they'd be very sad to find out I felt that way. It's completely my own emotions and frustrations that it's not our time yet!

Ahhh Pinterest is awful for that! I have a secret board called Bump full of nursery decor ideas! So lovely though!

DancingUnicorn · 21/01/2017 19:10

Completely understandable! Just because it's not intentional from them doesn't mean it's not hard for you. I totally underestimated how emotional the process would be! Hope you feel a bit better soon!

Wiggleyfingers · 21/01/2017 19:16

No one else knows that we are ttc soon so just having you lovely people to talk to who understand makes a world of difference! I really think I would have sulked about his all evening but just venting it out has made me feel so much better. I'm having a scrummy roast dinner and bottle of wine (guilt free) with my DP now Smile

MrsC2017 · 21/01/2017 19:19

Oh wiggly sorry you have been down! Pms is so awful and ovia is a real jerk sometimes.... A lot actually! Also I would bawl if I saw a newborn, my ovaries hurt when I see them! You are not alone! Love your treat ideas!! Buying a posh candle is one of my faves and curling up in a blanket with a good trashy novel!

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 21/01/2017 19:33

Ovia can be so passive aggressive - I got a really arsey email saying "you're not actually trying to conceive are you" which i thought was a bit harsh (although true)! I assume it's because I hadn't put any details in - but still! No AF yet so nothing to report or track!

Great ideas for treats. I'll add hair mask to the list.

Mummyme87 · 21/01/2017 19:43

I hate ovia but still look at it anyway 😑
Lots of twinges in left groin
