Thought I'd kick of the Feb bus.
I'm ttc #3 and it isn't easy this time.......
I'm planning on giving Feb all I've got - who's with me??!

Not gonna lie, I tell my hubby nothing. Nada. He's a worrier, and he works long busy hours, I don't want to put any extra stress on him!
It's pretty much the same as our wedding was... I do all the planning and he just turns up on the day lol. So when it comes down to dtd, I just give him the nudge and off we go haha.
We've discussed about having babies of course, but he's happily putting it to the back of his mind and waiting for the "surprise!"
Everyone is different, but that's how we are 😂
You're due to ovulate just before I'm due to test/af! It's gonna be a long 2 weeks lol

Oh god I am symptom spotting already, have been fairly casual about ttc so far but for some reason this cycle I am starting to obsess a bit. Keep feeling a slight twinge in my left boob (only the left!) and wondering if it means anything Also tmi but had brown muscusy discharge today, only 4dpo so too early for implantation bleed but not sure if I usually get it? Think am just taking far more notice of everything than usual!

You are quite right to do what suits you both! Every couple is different.
I'm probably going to adopt a similar approach.... how do folk find time to have sex most days is beyond me! Ha! I

I was obsessed symptom spotting last cycle and have promised myself I won't do any pg tests until I'm one day late..... if I actually manage that it'll be a miracle in itself! I'm the most impatient person on the planet!
Like you said you spend years preventing this for you then to expect to fall pg as soon as you want!
Eeeeek 2ww is the hardest! Be strong and seriously don't symptom spot! It's a head wreck! x

Blue I was like that last month! Had such sore boobs which I never usually get, had funny taste in my mouth, shattered all the time, and tummy felt crampy etc. Af arrived like clockwork and I felt so disappointed and stupid. I swore to my best friend, I'm not gonna trust my what my body says this month, it lies to me!!😂 gonna rely on science and pee!!
So I'm intrigued by implantation bleeding. It appears to be a good way of guessing pg before test, but it is sooo close to people's af dates, it's almost impossible to tell surely 🙈

I got my fake implantation bleed and cramping 11 days after suspected ov and 10 days before Aunt Flo was due. Big fakey fake implantation bleed! Body you are not to be trusted-brain you are also not to be trusted. 😂

Oh wow EM! How clever are our brains though? It's like they say people who are terrified of spiders are more likely to see them in their room?!
Ladies who are ttc get given much-wanted symptoms and then it's like "haaaa jokes!!"

Defo best to ignore everything and wait for the pee! Totally easier said than done though! I've done loads of tests 🙈 (not this time, in the last few months!)

You sound like you have more self control than I have! I told OH I wouldn't test last cycle and ended doing 3 pg tests in one day! 😳🙈 this cycle is different-trust no one! 😂😂

Hi Lexi! Get stuck in chick, I dunno about you guys but my friend who is my sole confidant about my ttc (she has a 1yo and has been very helpful to me so far) must be getting fed up about my constant ttc chat so it's so lush to come on here and share stories and babytalk constantly haaa.
EM I did a pg test every day for about 4 days and even when af arrived I did another a couple of days later coz I was so convinced I was pg. so this time I'm literally not gonna give in! One of my apps says 13 days to test, and 13 days I shall wait!!👌🏼
So I say now..... ask me this time next week lol

Does anyone have any idea why my OPK's are coming out so washed out? Usually they have a very dark one or two lines and the two I did today look very faint (both!). Have I got a dodgy batch or is this normal?

Surely I couldn't have ovulated a week after the first day of a miscarriage! I'm so confused....

Claire88 I think I did, I had EWCM exactly a week after and ovulation pains, I didn't test as couldn't bare thinking about the whole thing but I'm pretty sure that's when it was x

In my limited knowledge of opk, I think unless the lines are the same colour, it's negative for ovulation. Whether both lines are light or dark, I've no idea, just that the LH indicator line has to be equal or darker than the control line.
I may be wrong!
But over the last few months, I've been thinking wow, my timings must be spot on coz I'm ovulating when my app tells me I am (because I've been seeing 2 lines, although LH line has always been paler than control line... I just saw 2 lines and was like YAY!)
That was til last Thursday when I tested in morning pee and found both lines very dark and identical in colour! Which made me think hmmm how is this so much darker... looked into it and found the above... unless both lines are same colour, you're not having the LH surge.
We always have LH in our system so there could potentially always be 2 lines every day of the month. But the surge which happens just before ovulation is what makes the lines darker and marching in colour and I think that's what we are looking for!
Aside from that, it's just picking up the normal LH that's in your system.
I THINK... please anyone feel free to correct me!!x

I have been wondering if it was the MC hormones making the OPK so dark but it has got significantly lighter recently. A week after MC though? I have had other ovulation symptoms though... Weird. I just want a normal regular cycle that's easy to predict. I have never had one and probably never will! Urghhhh.. How are you? Hope you are holding up ok!

Thankyou. It would make sense that whether control the lines are dark or not that they and the test line need to match... I'm just confused why the control lines vary so much on the different OPKS. Makes comparing them much more difficult! I guess it's just the amount of dye.

I agree, as if trying to read all this isn't confusing enough!

Trying to conceive number 2, have been off pill about six months, now time to get serious about conceiving! Must be something about the New year!

AF due end of this week, zero chance of being on Jan bus so hopping on for support through Feb.

Re telling my dh if I'm ovulating, he asks to see my opks! He's was the first of us to get the baby bug.
Me & my mum are November babies. Although I suppose mine could still be October if I got a bfp this cycle.

I'm the same as you, dtd on what I think are my fertile days last week and am waiting for the next 13 days so I can test/af arrives 🙈
