I'm ttc #3 and it isn't easy this time.......
I'm planning on giving Feb all I've got - who's with me??!

5/6DPO and I think my sore nipples are retreating and I feel all emotional as per usual pre AF. Had felt quite positive about this cycle but now feeling like I know it's not happened. So fed up. So sorry for others feeling the same. It's great to have an outlet on here.

Babycarmen you're well early to test (says me who tested last Sunday when I'm meant to wait til this weekend lol) and especially with your symptoms sound hopeful!

misty I'm going to try and stop myself I know it's such a bad idea 🙈 I got 10 pregnancy test strips with my ovulation tests which probably isn't a good thing!

I'm being too hopeful in that I have a wedding at the end of march and go on holiday in April so would love to be 12 weeks by then! (Saves all the no drinking excuses)

I know what you mean! My plans is are a little closer than that, I have a friend's massive birthday party on Saturday night and a stay-away hen party in a couple of weeks, both of which I really can't afford this month lol 😂 and I would LOVE to have a damn good reason not to go hahaha (although I wouldn't tell them all if I was pg, but would be nice to have a solid reason to drop out, I refuse to let lack of funds keep me from a good party see!) so I'd love to have to make some excuses!
I'm currently getting some pretty obvious af cramps this evening though 😔

AF due probably a week Friday if my luteal phase is 13 days. My periods are irregular but think LP usually same at 13 days. ZEB I also have wedding at end of March when I came of the pill in September it never occurred to me that I wouldn't be pregnant by then now I'm thinking it's unlikely. I know what you mean misty it would be great to have a genuine reason not to drink as I feel like I don't wanna over do it with ttc but unless pg don't feel like I can justify it. Definitely not testing early is the way forward but I know for a fact I'm going to be guilty! X

I'm 100% determined that I'm not testing early this time round, the day after af is due and not before. Please can you all slap me if I try and go back on that?
When I was ttc last time I drove myself nuts squinting at nothing and being none the wiser. It's a mugs game! Grin

Misty ive hoped to get pregnant to avoid going to a lot of things in the past lol, i bet the secret is to be desperate not to miss something, then you will get your bfp (sods law)
I got my positive opk this morning, so kinda just starting the two week wait altho i guess i know i cant expect to symptom spot for at least another couple of days....

babycarmen I tested today too. I'm 7dpo so not sure on what planet I thought I'd get a bfp already! How man dpo are you? My boobs have started hurting now so I think that's a sign of af coming, I'm due a week today. Also got weird thin milky cm which I don't normally get and my pee smells really strong (and not due to dehydration, UTI/infection, eating anjthing unusual OR taking medication) Also getting very slight twinges in left side, bloating that's gone quite hard... But I know it's all in my head. I'm trying to convince myself that af is coming because I can't cope with another disappointment after getting my hopes up!

Oh waiting to test is the worst 🙈 I've got loads in my knicker draw just sitting there begging to be peed on, but I'm really trying not to think about it 😂
I'm just wondering how long other peoples symptoms start before AF coz when I used to be on the pill, I'd turn into the bitch from hell for a full week before af arrived but physical symptoms would only appear literally the day before, if at all before, sometimes I'd just wake up with a bit of a cramp, go to the loo and wooop there it is (I know some of you just sung that line lol) but since I've been off the pill, my symptoms are starting way early like boobs have been really sore since about 5dpo, mood has been low (but not psychotic lol) for the last 4 days, bloating for a few days and cramps since yesterday and I'm not even due af til tomorrow (or Sunday... depending on which app is to be believed lol) that's why I was asking lovechild when af was due coz in my head, 5/6dpo is very early for af symptoms when af isn't due for another week or more... what's the general consensus? Is it the norm to have af symptoms from around then and it was just the pill that was making me feel like my af symptoms were so short lived? Because if this is the case, it would save me a lot of symptom spotting lol currently I'm like omg my boobs have been sore for a week and I'm cramping 3 days before af is even due, I must be pg 😂😂 someone enlighten me haha xx

From memory when I was off the pill last time I'd get the sore boobs and dizziness around 5 dpo, it'd stick around for a week, long enough for me to convince myself I was definitely knocked up, then disappear at about 12 dpo only for af to show up 2 days later. The month I was preggers the sore boobs stayed sore.

misty you don't tend to get af symptoms on birth control. I'm in no way science-y but it's something to do with the fact that I'm b/c you don't ovulate which means there's no corpus luteam therefore less progesterone and little to no physical symptoms. I'm the same off birth control. Been on and off for ten years and on it, I'm the bitch from hell but the only physical symptom I get it mild cramping in day one of my period. Off it, I'm not actually that much of a bitch but I get some physical symptoms like sore boobs and my af cramps are hot water bottle and painkiller-worthy!

I used to only get symptoms day before AF, been off the pill for years but now I'm taking this ttc business seriously I'm getting symptoms from ovulation to AF, I'd say they were all my head but I get bad bloating n cramping n I ain't making that up

Bubblegum that's exactly what I've been like for the last 15 years! Last 3 months, I'm less devil-like lol but symptoms start literally a few days post-ov and drag on and on right up to when af arrives and the first day is agony cramp-wise (or agony compared to what I'm used to)
Honestly girls right now I feel quite silly 🙈 last month and this one I've totally been like wow, this is different, this feels weird, this is far too early for af... but actually it's not! It's actually normal 🙈😩
I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Literally all the symptoms I'm having are af symptoms but coz of when they've started happening, I've been thinking otherwise!
This is the worst epiphany ever 😔

Omg misty don't worry I had the exact same thought process 2 months ago! I was like oooh implantation cramps!!- no just AF. I find sore boobs shortly after o then this tails off as cramps and mentally instability kicks in 5-7 days post o. Feeling your pain but don't count yourself out until the witch arrives as early pg symptoms can mimic AF! Xx

Hope your luckier than me unicorn! When is af due? Sounds like a plan, just planned a night out next Saturday so at least have that to look forward to now!

There's such a ridiculous flaw in the design of women. Pregnancy AND impending period symptoms both being exactly the same. Shame we didn't get given psychic powers to override it lol

Slight brown spotting today, just as I always get before AF appears. Not a convincing symptom in sight. Not going to buy a test unless AF is super late but not looking likely!

Sounds fab Unicorns, me and a friend have just booked a spa weekend for next month, can't bloody wait and at least if I'm not preg I can choose any treatment I like and go in the hotub, silver linings!Grin

I've been the same Misty even though been off the pill since I had DD. Since we started ttc I've been noticing every little thing like it's new but it's probably all stuff I always get but didn't care! It's always good to get to know your body better though Smile

Best of luck to all who are yet to test but beware, your own body could be throwing you curveballs lol.
Seriously though, fx everyone who's looking for a bfn gets one this weekend! And if not... well we're on the right bus!
Af is due tomoz/Sunday so if it's not here by sat morning, I will be testing but judging how af-ish I'm feeling anyway, it feels like tomoz could be the arrival!x

Mother girly days a great idea. Although I have mine this morning and I've woke feel exhausted, bloated, crampy and just generally like a whale! I don't wanna go now Sad

I've had the most crazy dreams the last few nights. They wake me up and then I go back in to another crazy dream. Although only 6dpo so I'm sure it's nothing but a bad nights sleep.

Morning girlies! Af is on its way, cramps are bad this morning 😔 boobs have chilled out though, they're not very sore this morn. Stopped peeing so much. So very unlikely I will make it to my test day Saturday, sure nature will give me my bfn before then.
I hear loads of people have crazy dreams when pg! That's one symptom af hasn't given me lol x

Thanks for the reassurance on age gaps with 3DC, my eldest is coming up to 6 you have made me feel like I am not pushing it too far.

So it transpired that my + OPK was yesterday but didn't manage to DTD yesterday, feeling frustrated as we have DTD loads this month but didn;t manage it on the critical day :(
